the problem with the frogs is most of the time, you don't get a gaint attack, most of the time they just nip it, and when you try to set the hook, you rip it out of the fishes mouth, i just put a video responce up that shows how to fix this, or atleast how i fixed it. worked for me.

I noticed the sodering wire picks up alot of weeds, so I just put some small round wieghts in the body, adds wieght without ruining the body of the frog

i would suggest 20lb thermally infused fireline its VERY VERY strong,light,no memory at all, and it casts much better than braid

adding weight isnt really needed. the frog fills with water after 2 or 3 casts and weighs the frog down. but adding 2 rattles works good.

best bait ive ever used is the spro frog.

it is realy 50 to 60 pound test. its that kind of line because u have to fish the heavy slop.

there is a better way to add weight and sound to your frog ... i put 2 glass beads in the hole and a few brass bbs ... you can find the beads at most tackle shops ,, ask for brass n glass t-rig kits ... and brass bbs can be found at wally world ... this system is really loud and adds good weight to the frog ....

still 50 to 60 lb braid is a little over board. I can use about 20 lb test not braided and i just buy high quality 20 lb and im fine even on those big 8 and 9 pounders

Honestly I fish 12 pound test with a lite rod. I am perfectly fine and can rip through foliage. It is p line. I can get further sensitivity and can also move my bait more efficiently and move it the way I want.

i have a few questions, i am 14 and i am very interested in these frogs i bought some from bass pro(2 scum frogs and 1 spro). About the braid, can u use 50lb spiderwire stealth(12 dia.) with a baitcaster without it "digging in?" and what do u recomend is the best frog to fish

spiderwire stealth is crappy in my eyes it is quiet landing in the water but you cant cast as far bb/c its got wax on it i prefer powerpro but for you other q idk

powerpro is the way to go. I havent used spiderwire in years because it was shreding my Fuji Guides. I have been trying the new Stren MicroFuse Baid, it is almost invisible in the water and has not damaged any of my guides (yet).

it depends on the water that you fish and which one is more comfortable for you, different baits have different actions, the trick is finding the ones the fish in your lake like. I would recomend taking one type of frog with you each day and focus on that one frog then repeat the next day with a different one and take notes.

I usualy swim them slow stopping it on any cover it glides over, let it sit on pads or grass for a few seconds, the bass will strike it as it sits or when you pull it over the cover. If you miss a stike, pause the bait and see if the bass comes back thinking it stunned it and strike again usualy sucking the whole thing in.

Yes it does come in lower pound test, but remember the "tests" size of Braid does not reflect the diameter size, the diameter size is usualy less than half of the tests strenghth of braid. For example 50LB Power Pro Braided Line has the same diameter as 12LB Mono.
