@1992Wowcrazy well, he didnt so much betray his people as he did get his soul taken by the lich king. and i think those guards with him are not members of the Cult of the Damned, but Death Knights. they looks like the WC2 versions with the rotted faces the robes and scepters

@DemonLordNinetails I think you don't actually control them in Warcraft 3, but they appears in certain cutscenes, and you fight them in Halls Of Reflection in ICC.
I remember when I saw the cinematic(on war3), the king has two guard and this 2 guys beside Arthas went and blocked the king's guard ( 1:02 theses guards ) when Arthas tried to kill his father.
@HoldTJ Those two men following Arthas are Marwyn and Falric, his most loyal guards. (Whom have protected Arthas since he was only a child.) The two guards seen with King Terenas are probably different people.

they need to remake the cinematics for FoTLK and Wrathgate in WoW... look at the quality of all the introduction cinematics, the quality of the cinematics from WC3 (dated as they are), and then look at the FoTLK and Wrathgate cinematics, and they are terrible in comparison

My personal opinion is that the best WC was Warcraft 2. Then War 3 kinda ruined the fun of War 2, but it was still good, and WoW just killed everything...I mean they added all that bs with draenei, naga, bla bla...its supposed to be Orc nd Human!! Plus the gameplay for War 2 is sooo epic, it never gets old!!! Warcraft 3 is pretty fun to play tooo! Elves and humans are two different species (infact, their ancestors are different, Elves are from trolls and humans are from giants). If you played Frozen Throne, you know that the blood elves were banished by the humans. True, some blood elves went with the nagas and Illidan and allied themselves with the sick draenie, but the rest went with the horde, and the real draenies with the alliance.

To be honest, it all ends the same. They're basically just re-hashing old ideas again and again. It's like a megaman game. There's been like 40 of em and more than most are exactly the same, with different bosses (and yet the same final boss). This is no different. Illidan planned for 10k years, Arthas for too long, and now Deathwing has been around sicne WARCRAFT 2. Which means like, FOREVER AGO. What the hell?

Deathwing still remains within Grim Batol, where he has been for quite some time now. I mean, really, I wouldn't have the patience to sit in one spot for several years, planning shit out. well actually according to the blizzard devs hes probably in the outlands in a lair somewhere uncharted. he is hiding from alextrasza and the other flights because after their power was returned he couldnt fight alextrasza or malygos at their full strength he had to put malygos into a coma before his power was restored so he wouldnt hide in azeroth it dosent make sense lol.
Nope, he's Underground, in Azeroth, hatchin' eggs and stuff. The cataclysm is caused by his huge ass breaking through Azeroth, causing earthquakes, tidal waves, whatever. And making the elementals go insane. If Deathwing was in the Outlands, he wouldn't be able to cause the cataclysm.
the lich king was getting used to his body i think also the lich king while sitting on his thrown is able to peer out into azaraoth useing the scrouge, and also there is the fallen paladens and others who came to his call to become death knights, deathwing if i remember was kind of suck there
The Lich King sat on the Frozen Throne for years as Arthas and Ner'Zhul fought for dominance, Deathwing was in Grim Batol getting over his wounds after fighting the other 4 aspects, he was doing experiments on dragon eggs and has been building his forces up, at some point during Wrath of the Lich King he went into Deepholm, probably for a better hiding spot.
The entity to control arthas? No, Ner'zhul was an orc shaman long ago, who got led astray by the burning Legion. He Became the lich king. When arthas broke him out (as the book states) Arthas killed him, and therefore BECAME the lich king. Ner'zhul wasn't made to control arthas, as what it seems to be you are saying. That's all.
Arthas took control of the lich king, he basically killed Ner'Zul in his mind, completely banishing him from all control. There is only ARTHAS. However, the evil has corrupted him so, he is not so much even human anymore, but rather than a shell to stand for the power and control that is arthas.
/sigh..I've had to explain this to many people many times. They think Ner'Zhul is controlling Arthas, or Arthas is controlling Ner'Zhul, or that Arthas can still be saved, blah blah blah. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. There is no Ner'Zhul. There is no Arthas. There is only the Lich King. Arthas' heart was destroyed and his humanity was shattered. There's no turning back. Arthas is no more. Long live the Lich King!
All I have to say, is read the book: Arthas Rise of the Lich King. In the book (the epilogue), it goes over Arthas having a dream of memories as he became the lich king. There was Ner'zhul, and a boy (arthas' humanity). He killed them both. Which means, there is only ONE. I quote" "...I've got everything I need from you -- Now the power is mine and mine alone. Now there is only I. I am the lich King, and I am ready.". Still think the same...?

My personal opinion is that the best WC was Warcraft 2. Then War 3 kinda ruined the fun of War 2, but it was still good, and WoW just killed everything...I mean they added all that bs with draenei, naga, bla bla...its supposed to be Orc nd Human!! Plus the gameplay for War 2 is sooo epic, it never gets old!!! Warcraft 3 is pretty fun to play tooo! I really hope they come with a Warcraft 4 that continues the story from the end of Frozen Throne nd disregards all that BS from WoW

btw WoW is a bit shit.. Blood elves in fact they are humans wich means they are alliance but on wow they are wth horde side and nagas are draenei's wich in warcraft are bad guys with illidans side but on wow they are with alliance no with horde.....

Elves and humans are two different species (infact, their ancestors are different, Elves are from trolls and humans are from giants). If you played Frozen Throne, you know that the blood elves were banished by the humans. True, some blood elves went with the nagas and Illidan and allied themselves with the sick draenie, but the rest went with the horde, and the real draenies with the alliance.

@lelloschappy you are so wrong about blood elves, they were once "highborne" elves and they were almost all killed. the remaining ones called themselves "blood elves" and joined just everyone who could help them to gain more power. :D, they are just selfish assholes using horde. and they were never humans!

To be honest, it all ends the same. They're basically just re-hashing old ideas again and again. It's like a megaman game. There's been like 40 of em and more than most are exactly the same, with different bosses (and yet the same final boss). This is no different. Illidan planned for 10k years, Arthas for too long, and now Deathwing has been around sicne WARCRAFT 2. Which means like, FOREVER AGO. What the hell?

Question: Why must all villains play the waiting game? The Lich King sat on a Throne for a few years before he decided to strike. Deathwing still remains within Grim Batol, where he has been for quite some time now. I mean, really, I wouldn't have the patience to sit in one spot for several years, planning shit out. well actually according to the blizzard devs hes probably in the outlands in a lair somewhere uncharted. he is hiding from alextrasza and the other flights because after their power was returned he couldnt fight alextrasza or malygos at their full strength he had to put malygos into a coma before his power was restored so he wouldnt hide in azeroth it dosent make sense lol.

Nope, he's Underground, in Azeroth, hatchin' eggs and stuff. The cataclysm is caused by his huge ass breaking through Azeroth, causing earthquakes, tidal waves, whatever. And making the elementals go insane. If Deathwing was in the Outlands, he wouldn't be able to cause the cataclysm.

the lich king was getting used to his body i think also the lich king while sitting on his thrown is able to peer out into azaraoth useing the scrouge, and also there is the fallen paladens and others who came to his call to become death knights, deathwing if i remember was kind of suck there

The Lich King sat on the Frozen Throne for years as Arthas and Ner'Zhul fought for dominance, Deathwing was in Grim Batol getting over his wounds after fighting the other 4 aspects, he was doing experiments on dragon eggs and has been building his forces up, at some point during Wrath of the Lich King he went into Deepholm, probably for a better hiding spot.

The entity to control arthas? No, Ner'zhul was an orc shaman long ago, who got led astray by the burning Legion. He Became the lich king. When arthas broke him out (as the book states) Arthas killed him, and therefore BECAME the lich king. Ner'zhul wasn't made to control arthas, as what it seems to be you are saying. That's all.

Arthas took control of the lich king, he basically killed Ner'Zul in his mind, completely banishing him from all control. There is only ARTHAS. However, the evil has corrupted him so, he is not so much even human anymore, but rather than a shell to stand for the power and control that is arthas.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. There is no Ner'Zhul. There is no Arthas. There is only the Lich King. Arthas' heart was destroyed and his humanity was shattered. There's no turning back. Arthas is no more. Long live the Lich King!

All I have to say, is read the book: Arthas Rise of the Lich King. In the book (the epilogue), it goes over Arthas having a dream of memories as he became the lich king. There was Ner'zhul, and a boy (arthas' humanity). He killed them both. Which means, there is only ONE. I quote" "...I've got everything I need from you -- Now the power is mine and mine alone. Now there is only I. I am the lich King, and I am ready.". Still think the same...?
