  • you know the torque wrench? and joint compound should be put on the inside holes ^ ^

    (traduction google)

  • Wow, you guys have it easy. Its a cunt doing this on a K series trans. You have to align the 2 shafts with slots on the cover of the bell housing, and once you get the cover on bang it around until the countershaft seats properly so the enormous snap ring sits in place properly.

  • @nismo4life agreed!

  • i have a 2000 celica, is it the same process for my car two? nice vid !

  • @katroxes no it is not similar. The celica has a shift linkage internally that needs to be dealt with

  • great vid's i learned a lot.

  • @FortunateFew Thx

  • with new bearings and new diff you should actually re-shim..

    anyhow, nice vid

  • @jhbonarius Never needs re shim, maybe other gear boxes are like this but not the getrag

  • buddy.. .use a wooden or fibre mallet to tapp it down, next time.. cos the metal/steel hammer can give a crack on the cast aluminium!!

btw, nice to know the diff installation \m/

  • @UltimateTechGuru yes indeed it will crack if you hammer it like a mad man, light tapping is ok, i have done quite a few this way with no issues. If you have a fiber mallet by all means use it.

  • hey, I just have a question do you need to clean all the oil out of the transmisoin before you put the new one in? great 'show'!!! are there some new episodes coming?

  • @modelcarlover1 No the remaining oil is fine and will mix with the new fluid with no problems. More videos in the making
