We also know the government has us over a barrel. We have no idea where to begin, because we've never felt the need before. The explosion happened because a worker on the rig DAMAGED a safety seal

in an explosion preventer. The rig owner wanted to halt production. BP said NO!

You will INCREASE production.....1 week later Halliburton purchases the largest oil clean up company in the world. The Same week BP chairmen sold shares.

2 weeks later....BOOM.

Halliburton is definitely the money maker in this devastation.

The U.S. should just propose taking possesion of the entire rig and tell BP to drill elsewhere. There's no way BP will ever be able to compensate all that has been lost or damaged in the spill., let alone stop the leak on their own. America's lands and its people have been devastated. American owned Crude would keep providing revenue for the future of our response to the catastrophy, and help our damaged economy abroad. Then maybe we can quit calculating the astronomical damages.
