  • Thanks for sharing your story, your videos have helped me to get comfortable with doing this. I am set for sleeve surgery on June 1. I also like you attitude about the surgery and life. I have a question, how to you stop losing weight when you get to your goal weight? In class yesterday they told me the max number of calories I will ever be able to eat is 1000 calories a day. I know at that level of calories I would keep on losing? What has been your experience?

    Thanks

    Paul

  • Thanks for sharing your experience with us, I can't tell you how much it helps to have your videos to see what its really like with real people. Now that you've reached your ideal weight, how do you keep from losing below where you want to be. They told me in class yesterday that I wouild have to eat 1000 calories a day max for the rest of my life. At 1000 calories a day I would never stop losing. My surgery date is June 1.

  • you look cute!

  • Hey I have just had my sleeve done 3 weeks ago (in Australia) and I have lost 11kg so far. I have always been a thin person (58kg) Until 2 years ago when i started to put on the 50kg i have. Do you know what your total loss is is kgs??

  • Hey can you ask your sister to please post an update!!! We'd all appreciate it!!

  • Still noticing any hair loss at 8 months? Or did it stop at 6?

  • are you scars still visible? do you have any loose skin?

  • My scars are barely visible. They have really shrunk quite a bit. I do have a little loose skin. You normally wouldn't see it unless I was doing pushups and the skin hangs a little. It's definetly looser, but its nothing I'm worried about or would do surgery over.

  • You two are doing great! You've lost faster than I have, but I'm still plugging along at about 10 lbs a month. There are a couple things I can't eat, including tortillas/white flour stuff with my VSG - it's weird, but I don't miss it. I'm glad you like telling people about your surgery. You and your sis have been an inspiration!

  • Thanks for the videos. I am booked in for my Sleeve in NZ in 8 days and hope that I will have the same success as you and your sister. You both have made this decision for me to have the surgery an easier one. I wish your Mum & Dad all the best too. You & your sister deserve all the happiness this surgery has bought into your lives. Thanks for helping others like yourself with your honesty and informative videos. Keep us posted.

  • @TheKiwifromdownunder

    I appreciate the kinds.

  • Looking great. I just posted a comment on your sisters vid asking for an update by you,, and shazaamm,, here it is.. LOL.. You guys are the ones who got this process going for me, and Many Thanks for that. I was sleeved by Dr. Alvarez a week ago and feeling great. If your ever in Houston let me know, I will take you to a great restaurant on me. I do a little climbing myself, of sorts.

  • You and your sister are doing great! You are obviously very happy as every time you post, you are smiling from ear to ear. I had my VSG on 12/17 and I'll tell anybody who's interested about the agony and the ecstasy of my experience thus far, LOL. I have lost 35# and have 60# more to go to goal. It feels almost effortless except for when I hurl :) But that too will pass, and I can't argue with the results -- people are really noticing so that's gratifying. Take care and pls post again!

  • Thanks for the update. Wow, what a transformation. I had my VSG on 12/30/09 with Dr. Alvarez and all is good... just started solid foods last week. Continued success!

  • Love the update..thanks for sharing. I am 11 weeks post op and down 54 lbs..doing pretty good. I think it's awesome how well you are doing! I am encouraged about the energy picking up and looking forward to a great future. You look awesome.. Congrats and watchout ladies! :)

  • Thanks for the update! I just had my VSG on January 18th with Dr. Alvarez... thanks to your sisters and your vids it helped us pic our doctor.
