my dad had this idea of green pikmin that build up like a bridge as you walk across atrench or something to get items anyone have something to add to that idea?
I think there should be winged Pikmin, If theres a treasure across a looooong trench, and theres no bridge or anything to build, they could glide to the treasure. They can lift 2x their strength. (purple =10, Winged =2) and they would be a sky blue color. Hows that?
I got an idea. how about customize your own pikmin with color and ability for multiplayer battles with different game modes and get to have maybe 300 pikmin count and teams to battle agents each other. the more pikim the more strategy may be needed
what if the game had a mode were it was multiplayer but like a war were you choose your pikmin but can only have a maximum of 30 on that type your army size one hundred one hazords enemys treasures and all
Here's an idea: You know how candypop buds were always consistent? My idea is that they shouldn't Candy pop buds should be able to have different sizes. You would be able to tell how many pikmin you put in it by the size and the amount of petals it has. This is different for the queen candypop bud, where only one pikmin is thrown into it and it multiplies them. Instead, for the queen candypop bud, the amount of petals is the amount of pikmin that come out of the bud times 2.
@telapoopy Why not just screw the buds, and let the pikmin be able to build onions? Like from the carapaces of dead bugs. Give them weapons too...I can just imagine a little red pikmin with a flamethrower. XD Or let it breath fire
They should change the throwing system...like you can load more than one on your back so you can throw multiple pikmin on an enemy, and you should be able to change its feild of effect, from a bunch of pikmon onto 1 bug, or spread over a bunch of bugs like a shotgun
@qXxDarkxXp Whats wrong with candypop buds? anyways I was thinking of a new candypop bud called the King candypop bud that would give pikmin their 4th stage of development. (leaf, bud, flower...) Which would make their abilities more powerful. eg: fire pikmin would be able to burn enemies.
And if you could make purple pikmin have onions then that would get rid of any difficulty fighting any creature. And there isn't enough control combonations to be able to have complicated throwing techniques
I'm also going to make it have Bomb Rock Traps at every corner, and the only Pikmin you can bring in is RED Pikmin, for there are Fiery Bulborbs, Fiery Dweebles, and Fire Gysers! :D
i think there should be an upside down candypop trap that falls in some dungeons, and any 5 pikmin that it lands on will be turned into the color of the candypop bud. ex) if it were in pikmin 2.........in the submerged castle, you need a lot of blue pikmin. there would be red upside down candypop bud traps that turn 5 of your blues into reds. imo it would help make the game a little more challenging.
Add wild pickmen green ones that roam around you can change there color once by putting them in one of the onions. Also give white and purple pickmen there own onions add two or three new playable characters
invicible pikmin elements go through them and only one enemy con see them. the don't have onions. they are only found in caves. vanishing bulblax first it is visible then it is not. it can see invicible pikmin.

i dont wsant to seem mean, but i made a pikmin ideas for pikmin 3 that i think are kinda better then these, you can think what you think, but pease dont think im mean for saying that.
Good ideas, though the orange pikmin are a bit overpowered and having spicific pikmin being plucked only by whistle isn't necessary seeing how there was an ability in Pikmin 2 that did the same for all pikmin.
(Cont' from below) The next morning, you select your area and a menu pops up with the heading "Land with which Onions?" You must pick three for that day, while the others remain in orbit.
This also makes sense since there are only ever 3 landing sites, it wouldn't make sense to just add a few and hope no one notices. Hold your complaints about not being able to see all your pretty little pikies together at the same time in glory, I've solved that too. But just watch the video I'm about to post.
(Cont' from below) I see exactly why you want to increase the limit here, it's so that you do not end up with very small groups of each colour if you bring several out at once. Pikmin 2 was already cutting it close with 20 per, that's why all the treasure is so light, especially in caves.
But we all want more pikmin. No one would buy P3 if they didn't introduce any new types.
A soulution, you ask? I think this is the best awnswer: After you find your fourth Onion, and the day ends... (CONT^)
It's not a question of system power that determines the pikmin-in-the-feild limit. Think about what it was like the last time you tried to cross a bridge surrounded by water and half your pikmin drowned because you had a big group. Now you may argue that this doesn't happen every time, and that "people are just going to have to be skilled like that", but it's just a small example to illustrate the many impracticallities of controling an extremely large group of pikmin all at once. Very good ideas, but unfortunatley this ideas for the pikmin are overpowered, and while it would be cool for you're ideas to show up, if they did wouldn't the game be way too boring becasue we now have way overpowered Pikmin, but really cool ideas, but the pikmin are overpowerd but the extra modes sound awsome, I'd love to design my own dungeon! :D
@MrBCDummy That's why there's harder enemies as well. Emperor bulblax was the final boss in Pikmin 1 and now it's a minor boss with purplae Pikmin. Sure, the health of the emperor bulblax is reduced in pikmin 2 but still. It would've been nearly impossible to beat the later enemies with only the yellow, blue and red Pikmin, whether they had poison attacks or not.
@MrBCDummy We could make those types of Pikmin, very rare to obtain. Like, make caves with their flowers, incredibly dangerous, or make the flowers hard to find. :3
Here's my version for a final Pikmin 3 boss: A monster that is made up of pikmin pellets sucks one of each of your pikmin army and gets a certain power from each pikmin. Brown turns us into rock, Orange shocks up [means we stay still for a while], Green makes him hyper, Purple helps him stomp hard, White spews poision, Blue spews water, Red is fire, while the yellow part throws out static.
@Crystalize27 that would be a great idea for the final boss. it could be a 2-phase battle, the outside could be a giant bulblax, even bigger than the titan dweevil. after its death, it doesn't really die, it just faints, and opens its mouth. thus opens a short pre-dungeon, kinda like jabu jabus belly in ocarina of time. the last real boss could be its heart, or something.
@mitcheta21 My idea for the sorta theme of pikmin 3 would be that genetic mutations and diseases plague the planet a little. There would be enemies that suffer from the genetic mutation that you have to fight like a three-headed snagret that you would have to kill all three heads. This giant bulborb could also be the result of the mutations. Worthy of a final boss? I'm not sure about that. Collecting treasures would be for a fundraiser to purge the disease and more creatures and plants appear..
@telapoopy as you reach milestones in the fundraiser (10%, 20%, etc.) So the more treasures you collect, the more difficult the game gets but the more food you can hunt for.
I think there should be a night challenge. You select the pikmin you take and you only have those pikmin with you for the night, becuase the rest have went into orbit. You may choose only one captain for the others will be needed to go into orbit. If successful, the map is cleared of enemies and You may have 100 of any pikmin you desire. But it is no easy task. There are 3x as many enemies, they are stronger, nocturnal and day-time enemies are up and moving, so you cannot just camp in one area.
@whozurmomma I was thinking of that too. But the reward of getting 100 pikmin i don't like. There is no reason for you to be able to get 100 pikmin just for surviving nightime. and I don't think just surviving should get rid of all the enemies. It would reduce the daytime enemies depending on how many you kill during night time. The only real reward for staying at night time is getting more time to complete objectives.
@telapoopy When i said you may have 100 pikmin of any, i meant the pikmin you already have. Beforehand, you select which pikmin you want, automatically assuming that you are going to take out 100, not the reward for beating the the night-time challenge. I solely agree with the "less enemies next day with the more you kill" I was trying to establish that, but failed.XP but yes i agree. Just wanted to clarify my meaning.

I was thinking of some sort of sacrifice pit... throwing in like 5 red/blue/yellow pikmin would give you either 1 purple or white. and also combining pikmin, like 2 yellow+ 2 red+2 blue = one fire/water/electric resistant pikmin!
Also, instead of only having caves there could be levels where you climb up a tree, walking across the branches to gather treasures and berries!

ya, ok the bomb pikmin wasnt a good idea. besides, I just don't feel right sacrificing Pikmin like that. But I also don't like a Pikmin meant for having bomb rocks either. so, It should be like this: I hope all of u know this but in 2P battle in Pikmin 2, you could pick up bomb rocks and throw them with (A) and drop them with (B) (gamecube controls). It should be the same but with all game modes, not just multiplayer battles. Also there should be white sticky bombs that stick to opponents.
bulbmin bing green pikmin isn't a suggestion, It's a fact. see for yourself. when you have bulbmin look at the map. they will be shown in green and if they are idle, guess what? their leaves glow green
green: amune to acid,weight is 2 pikmin Look: has a tail
orange pikmin: can dig in specific ground, amunne to rock attacks (ex.armored cannon bettle, and an avalanche of rocks.) look: shell on back
onions: white's should have there own onions so should green. Purple and orange, only from candypop buds.
other:have less caves, more elemental blowhogs, birng back the puffstool and golix,more bulborbs, and please make entirely new levels not just modify the old ones
these ideas are awesome but its best if yellow pikmin dont carry bomb rocks and like MrQuiggles12 said, let the orange pikmin use bomb rocks and they ,like u said in the video, make bomb rocks common
All these ideas are cool but when would the game apply these with the story to make the experience a challenging but fun game. If pikmin can explode on contact with anything than why even use other pikmin to defeat enemies? I honestly think pikmin three will introduce new enemies heavily but i wouldn't be surprised to see only 1 new type of pikmin maybe not even. It's gonna be decently hard to top pikmin 2 that's for damn sure!
Frost/shiny blue Pikmin: has an onion. is immune to ice and can walk on water by freezing the area it steps on.
Extra ideas: since there's 9 types of pikmin i talked about with onions, the landing area is much larger, as well as the entire map.
All types of Pikmin have a 4th stage that can only happen by throwing a pikmin into a King Candypop Bud. instead of the speed, the pikmin's advantage is enhanced.
Idea for youtube: the character limit needs to be WAY higher
It would be fun to have battles like the ones in multiplayer in the main game so:
Chief Pikmin: These Pikmin are territorial and have their own army of pikmin. If you kill the chief pikmin, then the remaining Pikmin that were under it's control are passed on to you. If you have too many pikmin on the field, then the pikmin you just got will enter the apropriate onions.
Orange or brown/Horned Pikmin: Has an onion. The horn has a slight spiral formation. When thrown on an enemy, It will drill the enemy, causing rapid damage but doesn't grab on to the enemy. If thrown directly to the ground, it will make a hole that enemies can stumble in. when a 4th hole has been drilled, the 1st one will collapse. There are also secret rooms that have dirt walls that can be drilled by horned Pikmin.
Metal Pikmin: requires a steel candypop bud. Has the weight of 100 pikmin. alternate ways to kill a boss are usually with this Pikmin (for example: throw this on a Beady Long Legs to slam it's abdomen to the ground and finish it off by swarming it) When an enemy is brought down by a metal pikmin, it will get damaged and stunned. Can take multiple attacks before dying and it recovers when taken to the ship storage. I am unsure of this idea because metallic pikmin is a bit unrealistic
Collective Pikmin: Has an onion. Can form together like ants to create something larger like a hand for attacking or a bridge to cross crevasses. you need a certain amount of these pikmin for each form. They only count as half a pikmin, meaning that if your max pikmin on the field is 100, then you can have up to 200 of them on the field but their strength is also halved. I am unsure of how to choose the form that you want.
an asleep enemy increases it's money value when you bring it to the ship it updates the piklopedia for that creature and can be controlled by a green pikmin. Pink Pikmin have onions.
Green Pikmin: Found only in caves. Can take over an enemy. Immune to all basic elements and passes on that ability to it's host. The number of days it takes and the chance of success for taking over an enemy is dependant on the size and power of it.
Yellow/electric Pikmin carrying bomb rocks makes little sense so heres an improvise:
bomb pikmin: Has an onion. A consumable Pikmin with a rocky texture alike to a bomb rock. when thrown it will detonate, if attacked, it will detonate but can still carry items by using c-stick or the wii equivelent of one. Birthrate is doubled.
Pink/fuzz pikmin: It will turn the hp circle pink instead of attacking. If the circle is filled with pink, then enemy will fall asleep (continued with next comment)
Black/Spiked pikmin: requires thorned candypop bud. if stuck to an enemy, the enemy will have to shake multiple times to get it off. If thown on a wall, then it will remain there until wistled or if an enemy walks by it will ambush it.
Cyan/Aviary Pikmin: Has onion. If thrown it will glide around the enemy for a limited time. During that time it will dive bomb the enemy, causing high damage but slow attack rate. When landing, it will become idle unless you are nearby.
My cousin had an idea for a Pikmin. A Silver Pikmin that is resistant to all elements (whether from an enemy or otherwise) , EXCEPT for the water that Pikmin can drown in, which it will sink in instantly and die.
I, on the other hand, thought about a Rainbow Pikmin, which would be like what MrQuiggles12 said, and every Pikmin put together in the Combiner.

No time limit. I recently got Pikmin New Play Control and it pisses me off so much. They should have some sort of Pikmin that can see in the dark so you can use them all night long! Like Black Pikmin or Orange Pikmin
PHYSICS: attacks such as boulders, squishing, etc. purple pikmin are resistant to physics, but they can get blown back by it. instant kill to non-purples.
ICE: pikmin shiver when cold. if shivering for too long, they will freeze. if nearby fire, they will stop shivering. no pikmin are resistant to ice. pikmin start shivering in the snow area, pikmin will freeze instantly if in cold water, wich is found in the snow area. you cannot unfreeze them by whistling.
I don't think that the wii couldn't handle more than 100 pikmin at one time, but it would make the game a lot easier for the multitasking, and multitasking seems to be a big part of pikmin. Plus, it would be really hard to keep track of them all when pikmin could find some grass to pull, and you might lose those at sunset because you didn't know you lost them.
It's not that the wii can't handle more than 100 pikmin It's probably that it would be hard to handle more than tht 'cause if u have say 100 flowers in the front and about 100 pikmin in the back (lets say there mostly purple they'l go off Ur team and start attacking random enemies and probably get massicured by bulbears or something...

Gold Pikmin: VERY RARE you can only sprout 5 per day. VERY STRONG one gold=3 reds. All atributes (fire, water, electricity, poison) matures SLOW (stay leaf for 5 days.) Nectar de-flowerizes them.
grey pikmin they are stealthy and can move undetected around enemies and delivers a one shot kill to small enemies a group of ten or more can one shot a bulborb
They cannot solicite ideas from fans unless it is some kind of contest, or they ask for ideas. You guys are just making it less likely for them to include any of these in pikmin 3
I'm sorry but personally I don't like these idea all pikmin shuld be like each other in every way except a couple of abilities based on the type of elements they have
Purple: Strength
White: Poison
Red: Fire
Yellow: Electricity (didn't have specific element in first game)
Blue: Water
i don't really think a tan pikmin should exist because its so clse to brown also i however did like the ability to make caves though that should either belong to brown(ground)pikmin or white pikmin
Seed-min(excepting better names): when thrown by olimar it creates a stunning sound of a predator, scaring the monster away and or making it...excreet its treasure >.<.... in other words it scares a monster away, makes them slightly weaker, and giving you its treasure without killing it- this pikmin is a dark soil color and it is produced at a mini-garden planted inside the ship, they have eyes only and are basically the exact shape as a seed coming out of the onion, but with eyes.....
Ghost pikmin:it can hover over the floor being imuune to water can go through walls if eaten by an enemy it posseses it and makes it die but cant pick up anything and if left to long turns into evil ghost(to be explained)
Black pikmin:has the ability to go under ground for a short time and is able to lift enemies with its mind but will only fight without being to to
Evil ghost: A ghost pikmin left alone can cause the ability for it to become an evil ghost it will go into the user and hurt alot

Has no Onion. Instead, it lives in a cave.Thay can carry 2 things at a time.it can carry 3x it's weight. it works 5x faster than a Red,Yellow,and Blue. Olimar must pay for this overpowered Pikmin. This Pikmin is 2x Slower than any Pikmin.
rainbow pikmin=most rarest pikmin you can find it is immune to everything when eaten the host dies immediately after eating and can work very fast at least 3x faster
black pikmin=run very fast dig up items and gives out a great explosion that scares enemies when you are under attack also immune to fire
teal pikmin=like blue pikmin yet is like purple and fast
@MrQuiggles12 Wouldnt that be too easy? Nintendo would have to make the stages almost impossible if they put those pikmins in because those pikmins have too many useful characteristics. Some of them should have weaknesses, Im not saying they are not good and I would love to see them in the real game but those pikmin seem impossible to be able to put in the game since it cancels out everything that makes it a pikmin game.
Way too much and overpowered. The technical ideas were good. Yet you should consider that the people who makes the game already though of all this and surely more... they are pros, let them do their job.

i like the green parasite pikmin idea. having a set amount of small enemies that can be controlled during the game could provide multiple units within the game without having to make many new types of pikmin that can reproduce. i'd actually think that having that one new type with the original five would give enough possibilities for a new game, just have an onion for all your miscellaneous units that green pikmin are controlling
Switch Pikmin: The Switch Pikmin is a completely random pikmin and within 3 days it will transform into a normal Pikmin or you get unlucky it passes away.
Abilities: Can climb on trees or branches
If thrown on 1st day you can not throw it far if thrown on 2nd day it goes 2 miles farther on 3rd day goes 2 miles farther than 2nd day (If it stays fat from days 1-3 it will be thrown the same amount of miles on 1st day and transforms to a purple pikmin or any new fat pikmin)
baby pikmin: they start out black & white like a zebra. whatever color they help most, they become that color & mature in 15 days. if they tie, then they will still be black & white, with no special abilities. if they dont do antthing, then they die in 15 days.
these are all too complicated, the green one doesn't make sense, and why make one resistant to water, fire, poison and electricity?? that's wayy too cheap, you could get 100 and own everything. I guess it'd be an alright idea if there's only 10 in the game...
Black pikmin: I'ts extremely slow, and is very easy to kill, as it doesn't have a way to attack an enemy, you can only have one out at a time but just one of them will pick up anything and teleport it to either the ship, or the onion that has the lowest amount of pimin, when disbanded it turns back into a brown pikmin and plants itself
How to get it: Throw a brown pikmin in fire, it's flower/bud/leaf will fall off and it will turn black(in a rather cartoonish way)
monster idear: boloc, red with flames comming from its mouth and breaths fire, looks kind of like a salamander with a long tail. new stuff: baby monsters can be capture and taken as pets and have the same controls as any picmin and grows to an adult in 15 days. i will show more in my next comming up PICKMIN 3 IDEAS
Gold pikmin: Can do anything a normal pikmin can do but has the abilities to shrink or turn giant and can make a scary noise to scare off monsters and jump extremely high in the air and can fly, swim, and skate if there are any icey areas and can bring you back to life if you die or any pikmin and turn invisable and has a light ray that shows treasures in any caves. Location: Randomly appears in secret areas in certain levels.
ubzorbur giant bubble when eats a red pikmin it catches on fire if yellow it will start absorbing pikmin and zap them after a few seconds if it eats blue pikmin pikmin will drown in the bubble if white it becomes a poison bubble and if purple it will turn into a rock and roll over the pikmin also there will be new types of bulbmin and they can be taken into your ship like the purple and white pikmin, who will have onions in this game if the ubzorbur absorbs a bulbmin it will turn ubzorbur good
Type of Pikmin: Ghost Pikmin, Weakness: Other Ghost Enemies, Good Against: Only Ghost Enemies, Special Features: Small,Can go through any enemy besides ghost enemies, Hovers (About 1ft off the ground), and its legs are like wavy you know like a ghost, can go through certain walls (Not all walls), Color: Gray, Eye Color: Red or Black. i think that pikmin being able to be plucked by whistle is idiotic. i mean, in pikmin two, you get treasure to do that. i believe that there should be parasitic pikmin that are enemies. potcho would find them and try to get treasure on hockolate where you have to defeat him. i think that there should be a mother ship of pikmin in which you have a choice between all pikmin.

More then 100 Pikmin? If they made it like that, then a 5-year old could beat the game in one hour. Just 100 Pikmin makes a good challenge.
If only I knew how to swarm Pikmin onto something in Pikmin 1. I was always just throwing them. I died after aquiring only 8 ship parts.

They should change the throwing system...like you can load more than one on your back so you can throw multiple pikmin on an enemy, and you should be able to change its feild of effect, from a bunch of pikmon onto 1 bug, or spread over a bunch of bugs like a shotgun

And if you could make purple pikmin have onions then that would get rid of any difficulty fighting any creature. And there isn't enough control combonations to be able to have complicated throwing techniques

i think there should be an upside down candypop trap that falls in some dungeons, and any 5 pikmin that it lands on will be turned into the color of the candypop bud. ex) if it were in pikmin 2.........in the submerged castle, you need a lot of blue pikmin. there would be red upside down candypop bud traps that turn 5 of your blues into reds. imo it would help make the game a little more challenging.

invicible pikmin elements go through them and only one enemy con see them. the don't have onions. they are only found in caves. vanishing bulblax first it is visible then it is not. it can see invicible pikmin.

Good ideas, though the orange pikmin are a bit overpowered and having spicific pikmin being plucked only by whistle isn't necessary seeing how there was an ability in Pikmin 2 that did the same for all pikmin.

(Cont' from below) The next morning, you select your area and a menu pops up with the heading "Land with which Onions?" You must pick three for that day, while the others remain in orbit.
This also makes sense since there are only ever 3 landing sites, it wouldn't make sense to just add a few and hope no one notices. Hold your complaints about not being able to see all your pretty little pikies together at the same time in glory, I've solved that too. But just watch the video I'm about to post.

(Cont' from below) I see exactly why you want to increase the limit here, it's so that you do not end up with very small groups of each colour if you bring several out at once. Pikmin 2 was already cutting it close with 20 per, that's why all the treasure is so light, especially in caves.
But we all want more pikmin. No one would buy P3 if they didn't introduce any new types.

It's not a question of system power that determines the pikmin-in-the-feild limit. Think about what it was like the last time you tried to cross a bridge surrounded by water and half your pikmin drowned because you had a big group. Now you may argue that this doesn't happen every time, and that "people are just going to have to be skilled like that", but it's just a small example to illustrate the many impracticallities of controling an extremely large group of pikmin all at once. @MrBCDummy That's why there's harder enemies as well. Emperor bulblax was the final boss in Pikmin 1 and now it's a minor boss with purplae Pikmin. Sure, the health of the emperor bulblax is reduced in pikmin 2 but still. It would've been nearly impossible to beat the later enemies with only the yellow, blue and red Pikmin, whether they had poison attacks or not.

Here's my version for a final Pikmin 3 boss: A monster that is made up of pikmin pellets sucks one of each of your pikmin army and gets a certain power from each pikmin. Brown turns us into rock, Orange shocks up [means we stay still for a while], Green makes him hyper, Purple helps him stomp hard, White spews poision, Blue spews water, Red is fire, while the yellow part throws out static.

@Crystalize27 that would be a great idea for the final boss. it could be a 2-phase battle, the outside could be a giant bulblax, even bigger than the titan dweevil. after its death, it doesn't really die, it just faints, and opens its mouth. thus opens a short pre-dungeon, kinda like jabu jabus belly in ocarina of time. the last real boss could be its heart, or something.

@mitcheta21 My idea for the sorta theme of pikmin 3 would be that genetic mutations and diseases plague the planet a little. There would be enemies that suffer from the genetic mutation that you have to fight like a three-headed snagret that you would have to kill all three heads. This giant bulborb could also be the result of the mutations. Worthy of a final boss? I'm not sure about that. Collecting treasures would be for a fundraiser to purge the disease and more creatures and plants appear..

I think there should be a night challenge. You select the pikmin you take and you only have those pikmin with you for the night, becuase the rest have went into orbit. You may choose only one captain for the others will be needed to go into orbit. If successful, the map is cleared of enemies and You may have 100 of any pikmin you desire. But it is no easy task. There are 3x as many enemies, they are stronger, nocturnal and day-time enemies are up and moving, so you cannot just camp in one area.

There is no reason for you to be able to get 100 pikmin just for surviving nightime. and I don't think just surviving should get rid of all the enemies. It would reduce the daytime enemies depending on how many you kill during night time. The only real reward for staying at night time is getting more time to complete objectives.

Beforehand, you select which pikmin you want, automatically assuming that you are going to take out 100, not the reward for beating the the night-time challenge. I solely agree with the "less enemies next day with the more you kill" I was trying to establish that, but failed.XP but yes i agree. Just wanted to clarify my meaning.

I was thinking of some sort of sacrifice pit... throwing in like 5 red/blue/yellow pikmin would give you either 1 purple or white. and also combining pikmin, like 2 yellow+ 2 red+2 blue = one fire/water/electric resistant pikmin!
Also, instead of only having caves there could be levels where you climb up a tree, walking across the branches to gather treasures and berries!

But I also don't like a Pikmin meant for having bomb rocks either. so, It should be like this: I hope all of u know this but in 2P battle in Pikmin 2, you could pick up bomb rocks and throw them with (A) and drop them with (B) (gamecube controls). It should be the same but with all game modes, not just multiplayer battles. Also there should be white sticky bombs that stick to opponents.

orange pikmin: can dig in specific ground, amunne to rock attacks (ex.armored cannon bettle, and an avalanche of rocks.) look: shell on back

All these ideas are cool but when would the game apply these with the story to make the experience a challenging but fun game. If pikmin can explode on contact with anything than why even use other pikmin to defeat enemies? I honestly think pikmin three will introduce new enemies heavily but i wouldn't be surprised to see only 1 new type of pikmin maybe not even. It's gonna be decently hard to top pikmin 2 that's for damn sure!

Frost/shiny blue Pikmin: has an onion. is immune to ice and can walk on water by freezing the area it steps on.
Extra ideas: since there's 9 types of pikmin i talked about with onions, the landing area is much larger, as well as the entire map.
All types of Pikmin have a 4th stage that can only happen by throwing a pikmin into a King Candypop Bud. instead of the speed, the pikmin's advantage is enhanced.

Stuff I forgot or wasn't specific about: If a horned Pikmin gets squashed, then the enemy who gets squashed suffers damage.
If a spiked Pikmin gets eaten or squashed, the enemy suffes damage.
Bomb Pikmin will detonate ON IMPACT when thrown

It would be fun to have battles like the ones in multiplayer in the main game so:
Chief Pikmin: These Pikmin are territorial and have their own army of pikmin. If you kill the chief pikmin, then the remaining Pikmin that were under it's control are passed on to you. If you have too many pikmin on the field, then the pikmin you just got will enter the apropriate onions.

Orange or brown/Horned Pikmin: Has an onion. The horn has a slight spiral formation. When thrown on an enemy, It will drill the enemy, causing rapid damage but doesn't grab on to the enemy. If thrown directly to the ground, it will make a hole that enemies can stumble in. when a 4th hole has been drilled, the 1st one will collapse. There are also secret rooms that have dirt walls that can be drilled by horned Pikmin.

Metal Pikmin: requires a steel candypop bud. Has the weight of 100 pikmin. alternate ways to kill a boss are usually with this Pikmin (for example: throw this on a Beady Long Legs to slam it's abdomen to the ground and finish it off by swarming it) When an enemy is brought down by a metal pikmin, it will get damaged and stunned. Can take multiple attacks before dying and it recovers when taken to the ship storage. I am unsure of this idea because metallic pikmin is a bit unrealistic

Collective Pikmin: Has an onion. Can form together like ants to create something larger like a hand for attacking or a bridge to cross crevasses. you need a certain amount of these pikmin for each form. They only count as half a pikmin, meaning that if your max pikmin on the field is 100, then you can have up to 200 of them on the field but their strength is also halved. I am unsure of how to choose the form that you want.

an asleep enemy increases it's money value when you bring it to the ship it updates the piklopedia for that creature and can be controlled by a green pikmin. Pink Pikmin have onions.
Green Pikmin: Found only in caves. Can take over an enemy. Immune to all basic elements and passes on that ability to it's host. The number of days it takes and the chance of success for taking over an enemy is dependant on the size and power of it.

Yellow/electric Pikmin carrying bomb rocks makes little sense so heres an improvise:
bomb pikmin: Has an onion. A consumable Pikmin with a rocky texture alike to a bomb rock. when thrown it will detonate, if attacked, it will detonate but can still carry items by using c-stick or the wii equivelent of one. Birthrate is doubled.
Pink/fuzz pikmin: It will turn the hp circle pink instead of attacking. If the circle is filled with pink, then enemy will fall asleep (continued with next comment)

Black/Spiked pikmin: requires thorned candypop bud. if stuck to an enemy, the enemy will have to shake multiple times to get it off. If thown on a wall, then it will remain there until wistled or if an enemy walks by it will ambush it.
Cyan/Aviary Pikmin: Has onion. If thrown it will glide around the enemy for a limited time. During that time it will dive bomb the enemy, causing high damage but slow attack rate. When landing, it will become idle unless you are nearby.

My cousin had an idea for a Pikmin. A Silver Pikmin that is resistant to all elements (whether from an enemy or otherwise) , EXCEPT for the water that Pikmin can drown in, which it will sink in instantly and die.
I, on the other hand, thought about a Rainbow Pikmin, which would be like what MrQuiggles12 said, and every Pikmin put together in the Combiner.

PHYSICS: attacks such as boulders, squishing, etc. purple pikmin are resistant to physics, but they can get blown back by it. instant kill to non-purples.
ICE: pikmin shiver when cold. if shivering for too long, they will freeze. if nearby fire, they will stop shivering. no pikmin are resistant to ice. pikmin start shivering in the snow area, pikmin will freeze instantly if in cold water, wich is found in the snow area. you cannot unfreeze them by whistling.

I don't think that the wii couldn't handle more than 100 pikmin at one time, but it would make the game a lot easier for the multitasking, and multitasking seems to be a big part of pikmin. Plus, it would be really hard to keep track of them all when pikmin could find some grass to pull, and you might lose those at sunset because you didn't know you lost them.

Gold Pikmin: VERY RARE you can only sprout 5 per day. VERY STRONG one gold=3 reds. All atributes (fire, water, electricity, poison) matures SLOW (stay leaf for 5 days.) Nectar de-flowerizes them.

Orange: cannot die, but cannot attack [just carries stuff]
Black: cannot be left behind; will be found next to rocket when you land there again

The standard 5 colors changed slightly:
Red: Can carry 2 times their weight; when they touch fire, they become twice as strong.
Yellow: if one touches a pikmin being electrocuted, it cools down.
Blue: no benefits.
White: if they die but aren't eaten [A.K.A, flattened] , disappear into pikmin poison that damages enemies but not pikmin.
Purple: travel faster through air.

Seed-min(excepting better names): when thrown by olimar it creates a stunning sound of a predator, scaring the monster away and or making it...excreet its treasure >.<.... in other words it scares a monster away, makes them slightly weaker, and giving you its treasure without killing it- this pikmin is a dark soil color and it is produced at a mini-garden planted inside the ship, they have eyes only and are basically the exact shape as a seed coming out of the onion, but with eyes.....

Ideas
Rainbow Pikmin: Is immune to everything.Can carry bomb rocks. Whatever enemy eats it, the enemy dies unless it's a boss. the raimbow Pikmin can be thrown far, farther than the Yellow Pikmin. Has no Onion. Instead, it lives in a cave.Thay can carry 2 things at a time.it can carry 3x it's weight. it works 5x faster than a Red,Yellow,and Blue. Olimar must pay for this overpowered Pikmin. This Pikmin is 2x Slower than any Pikmin.

Ideas:
rainbow pikmin=most rarest pikmin you can find it is immune to everything when eaten the host dies immediately after eating and can work very fast at least 3x faster
black pikmin=run very fast dig up items and gives out a great explosion that scares enemies when you are under attack also immune to fire
teal pikmin=like blue pikmin yet is like purple and fast
Others:
create a pikmin!=well it speaks for itself
4 player co op=a chance to have lots of people

Orange Pikmin: invincible to fire and fire enemies, can carry bomb rocks.
Black Pikmin: when thrown, they explode after 5 seconds. a sprout is left after the explosion.
Pink Pikmin: if eaten, the enemy that ate it becomes controlable. Other ideas:
Combiner: combine 2 pikmin to make a new color, new pikmin have some charactaristics of the combined pikmin.

@MrQuiggles12 Wouldnt that be too easy? Nintendo would have to make the stages almost impossible if they put those pikmins in because those pikmins have too many useful characteristics. Some of them should have weaknesses, Im not saying they are not good and I would love to see them in the real game but those pikmin seem impossible to be able to put in the game since it cancels out everything that makes it a pikmin game.

Way too much and overpowered. The technical ideas were good. Yet you should consider that the people who makes the game already though of all this and surely more... they are pros, let them do their job.

i like the green parasite pikmin idea. having a set amount of small enemies that can be controlled during the game could provide multiple units within the game without having to make many new types of pikmin that can reproduce. i'd actually think that having that one new type with the original five would give enough possibilities for a new game, just have an onion for all your miscellaneous units that green pikmin are controlling

Switch Pikmin: The Switch Pikmin is a completely random pikmin and within 3 days it will transform into a normal Pikmin or you get unlucky it passes away.
Abilities: Can climb on trees or branches
If thrown on 1st day you can not throw it far if thrown on 2nd day it goes 2 miles farther on 3rd day goes 2 miles farther than 2nd day (If it stays fat from days 1-3 it will be thrown the same amount of miles on 1st day and transforms to a purple pikmin or any new fat pikmin)

baby pikmin: they start out black & white like a zebra. whatever color they help most, they become that color & mature in 15 days. if they tie, then they will still be black & white, with no special abilities. if they dont do antthing, then they die in 15 days.

these are all too complicated, the green one doesn't make sense, and why make one resistant to water, fire, poison and electricity?? that's wayy too cheap, you could get 100 and own everything. I guess it'd be an alright idea if there's only 10 in the game...

Heres an idea of mine:
Black pikmin: I'ts extremely slow, and is very easy to kill, as it doesn't have a way to attack an enemy, you can only have one out at a time but just one of them will pick up anything and teleport it to either the ship, or the onion that has the lowest amount of pimin, when disbanded it turns back into a brown pikmin and plants itself
How to get it: Throw a brown pikmin in fire, it's flower/bud/leaf will fall off and it will turn black(in a rather cartoonish way)

monster idear: boloc, red with flames comming from its mouth and breaths fire, looks kind of like a salamander with a long tail. new stuff: baby monsters can be capture and taken as pets and have the same controls as any picmin and grows to an adult in 15 days. i will show more in my next comming up PICKMIN 3 IDEAS

Gold pikmin: Can do anything a normal pikmin can do but has the abilities to shrink or turn giant and can make a scary noise to scare off monsters and jump extremely high in the air and can fly, swim, and skate if there are any icey areas and can bring you back to life if you die or any pikmin and turn invisable and has a light ray that shows treasures in any caves. Location: Randomly appears in secret areas in certain levels.

ubzorbur giant bubble when eats a red pikmin it catches on fire if yellow it will start absorbing pikmin and zap them after a few seconds if it eats blue pikmin pikmin will drown in the bubble if white it becomes a poison bubble and if purple it will turn into a rock and roll over the pikmin also there will be new types of bulbmin and they can be taken into your ship like the purple and white pikmin, who will have onions in this game if the ubzorbur absorbs a bulbmin it will turn ubzorbur good

i think that pikmin being able to be plucked by whistle is idiotic. i mean, in pikmin two, you get treasure to do that. i believe that there should be parasitic pikmin that are enemies. potcho would find them and try to get treasure on hockolate where you have to defeat him. i think that there should be a mother ship of pikmin in which you have a choice between all pikmin.
