@tidus1336 As I said in my other post, Nintendo doesn't use many fan ideas because they'd lose money if they did. Official-game hacks and indie games aren't usually produced by commercial organizations, though, so they don't have that drawback. Unfortunately, that's also a problem for marketing/finance... everyone's heard of the GameBoy, but how many people know about VBA?

Creating your own trainer is an awesome idea that doesn't seem to have any drawbacks. Hey, they did for us it in Gen 2.

Event pokemon probably won't be accessible without an actual real-life event, because that's a tool that Nintendo uses to generate publicity and money. The same goes for utilizing cross-version pokemon/regions, since Nintendo makes more money if people buy 2 copies of the game instead of just 1 (to get both legendaries, for instance).

Emerald is definitley the most nostalgic for me. I played through Silver first, but I was young and dind't really understand stradegy, so it wasn't as much of an expirience as it could have been. Not to mention, Emerald had the hardest champion of ANY Pokemon game. Wallace was a fricken jerk! It took me FOREVER to beat him!
