I was just a wee lad when they were big, but this song just makes me feel like I'm living the life of my brother (he's 10 yrs older than me). Silverchair's energy stands alone
what a great fucking song this is, the lyrics really did inspire me to pick up a guitar, and how different the guitar was on this song, daniel had a very nice way of not putting the guitar right in your face all the time, hes very talented
I'd have to say this is Daniels best vocal era. The 'rawness' in his voice have soo much more meaning than Diorama/Across The Night era. Its arguable but just accept this is Silverchair's sound.
yeah. it can be played in standard but you have to figure it out/get tabs. in his tuning low e is tuned up to G# and then the rest are tuned down G# C# F# A# D# i think.
Thank you dirrx and Ramblenight was already so kind to message me and let me know it wasn't available. I do have it on my Itunes but I'd love to see it live, wonder why they don't play it. Anyway, thank you for the response and thank you Ramblenight for all the awesome videos you put up of them!
you're very nice but there's really nothing to thank me for :)
I've heard they have never played it live because the song is too personal for Daniel (and Natalie) but I'm not really sure if this is true or just another silverchair legend
Neon Ballroom Song Rainkings in my Opinion 1. Emotion Sickness 2. Ana's Song (Open Fire) 3. Point Of View 4. Miss You Love 5. Black Tangeled Heart 6. Do You Feel The Same 7. Paint Pastel Princess 8. Anthem For The Year 2000 9. Steam Will Rise 10. Dearest Helpest 11. Satin Sheets 12. Spawn Again I LOVE THE WHOLE ALBUM!!!!
@lappinsilver it is a great album, and i think very underrated, every song is very distinct sounding, you can tell they all belong on that album, like i mean you couldnt put anas song on diorama, its probably my favorite chair album, i used to fall esleep to it, blasting it to
I have gone off Silverchair for a few years, but I just fell in love again. I love love love this song. It reminds me of being younger and dating my now husband. His voice is AMAZING here.. I just want to scream in the faces of the people who think that MCR or FOB are the best band ever to WAKE UP and listen to SILVERCHAIR. they are so underrated. I need to get YM, can't believe I never did.. I have every other album and single, though..
I wish they did. I'm pretty positive they don't play this song live anymore. They rarely played it when they toured Neon Ballroom anyway. Today, most of their set-list consists of Young Modern material, but they'll play The Door, Emotion Sickness, Without You, and the occasional Israel's Son.
This is the best version of this song. Perfect and amazing. 2:30 to 3:08 couldn't be better. The ending is perfect as well. So so good. Almost too good!
I still wish this song was somewhere in the setlists, since it's one of those Neon Ballroom songs that really still fit well with what the guys play today.
I'm a portuguese fan since frogstomp.. this must be one of their best performance live! Its just flawless! Vocals, guitar, drums, everything! And the song is one of their best too.. DJ is a music genius, period.
I hope your right. I saw them last summer and his voice was way better than it was say a half a year before then, but it was still nowhere near being like this. I really hope your right though...
this is my favorite silverchair song, and probably my favorite song period, genius, this is the song that made me pick up a guitar, theres something about the strumming. better live to

I like how the songs on neon ballroom represent a combination of their grunge and "art rock" styles

@teenager17 that was around 99-2000 when they still 19-20 years old. Genius!

I miss the 90's. When the music was at it's best. All this recycled auto tuned garbage today is just pathetic.

Mr. Ramblenight, I might've already asked this but do you have anything of Too Much of Not Enough? I searched it on Youtube and couldn't find it:(
Musique68 2 years ago
the album version is copyrighted, so it's impossible to upload it on youtube and as fas as i know there's no live version
that's why you will probably never be able to find it on youtube
