@CryCZRene Hi there, might sound silly but is your firmware 4.1e? and also like I stated before try using a different memory card and make sure it's 256mb and above, I did have issues once before using a particular sd card and got a new one differ brand and it worked perfectly, but other from that I am not totally sure my friend very sorry

I had homebrew channel before but on an earlier firmware. And of course it didnt work with that version so i removed the channel from the data management and then channels folder. I red about it on a site, that some files from homebrew channel is still on the wii after you have removed it, but that it sould'nt harm my wii. So my question is can i install this firmware version for the wii when i have removed an earlier version?

From my Knowledge i believe if you format the wii from the Options & settings it should remove everything that shouldnt be there and reset to manufacture settings. Like i said in my description not sure if this will work on other firmware lower or high than 4.1e, but there are apps that allow you to downgrade the firmware via homebrew channel.

how do you tell what firmware its on?

Go to the Wii system menu and at the top-right corner it will say your Wii's firmware version.
