Haha! I remember watching this in class several years ago.

Such extreme talent, enthusiasm, professionalism and creativity.

The showmanship is incredibly flashy, but every member is well trained and has, obviously, mastered proper form.

These people love what they do, and do it well. Doesn't that make for the best job, ever? To love what you do and enjoy it?

Notice how all of the instruments are classical?

If anyone ever wants to play like that, stay in band and stay in school!

Alex Duthart (regarded as one of the greatest pipe and drum corps drummers ever) was, in Buddy Rich's own words, "a far better drummer than I". Plus, no DCI crew can hold a candle to Top Secret... might want to broaden your horizons a bit beyond DCI

Nick Angelis comes from the University of Cincinnati and comes and teaches us. From seeing him play in person and knowing he was in Blast. Amazing what they all can do. Blast is the best "stage group drumline". Now saying they are the best "marching drumline" is a big stretch.

I like how everyone thinks Blast is the best drumline ever. They are OK, I'll give them that but there are SO many better drum corps out there. Top Secret is a good example of a drum corps that is far better than Blast. But that's not counting the countless DCI corps that are at such a higher level than Blast, Blue Devils, Phantom Regiment, Santa Clara Vanguard, etc. The people who think that this is amazing, are probably the same people who think that the movie Drumline is amazing.

@Germany981 Blue Devils is NOT college. It is DCI. They are very different. Drummers in DCI are pretty much the best at what they do. Blast has no where the chops and precision of the Blue Devils. I don't know what you are talking about. Not to mention, they don't officially "rate" drumlines. There is no drumline rating system. Blast, Top Secret, and DCI are very different styles of playing and the only way to compare them really is on the precision of what they do.

The thing that needs to be realized about blast is: this was not a drumline put together to go out and win competitions. Nor was the music written for that reason either. This is for entertainment!
