  • Beaut car! Perfect exhaust note, just brilliant! was just wondering, what gear drive did you use? is it a glimer or other brand? and approximately what power did this engine make? hope you don't mind me asking, it's just i want to figure out how much i can work 1 for p's. cheers.

  • cant belive i sold my vc dam being poor

  • they do get alot quieter as they run in , i had one in my 308 it was real loud for the first few weeks

  • Nice......

  • Hey mate, sweet ride. Sounds awesome. Do those gear drives get annoying when your cruising. I drive my Centura from Sydney to Albury for Chryslers on the Murray and various other shows and don't want to regret fitting them and wasting my coin.

  • @richo440

Its most noticeable at idle, while your driving the exhaust note drowns everything else out. Im actually thinking about putting a chain back in it because there is a lot of slop or play between the gear teeth, which is leading me to thing that the valve timing is all over the place. Still waiting to get it on a dyno.

  • Hey mate, bloody sweet ride. Sounds awesome. Do the gear drives get annoying when cruising, i drive my Centura to Albury from Sydney to Chryslers on the Murray and don't want to regret fitting them and wasting my coin.

  • yes me to coming back to this video the best in 6 cylinder work of art this vc love it gutsty 265hemi

  • i keep coming back to this vid , i really like this car . sounds tuff ,looks schmick .

  • very nice work ,sounds great

  • schmick VC buddy , my Vg sounds a bit like this ( no gear drive though ) wish i knew how to upload haha..............great effort a credit to you

  • I unfortunetly think the only way to escape those problems with cam/oil pump gear is to shell out for an external oil pump which I think i'll do on my build up. which pentastar motor did you get?

  • what size holley are you running .may i ask a silly question does the manifold get hot when the car isnt moving

  • I think from memory it was somewhere around the 650 cfm mark but was never quite sure. The previous owner of the carb rubbed most of the markings off so I couldnt decipher the code. And yes due to the shape of these particular extractors the manifold got hot at idle.

  • There are a set of webers on the car now, which tamed the whole engine down quite a bit. Despite this Ive since changed to a significantly smaller, hydraulic cam, due to the old one stripping along with breaking several valve springs all caused by a dodgy engine builder not mentioning any names (Pentastar Parts & Restorations)

  • do you have a new upload of the engine bay.yes penstar parts sold me a manifold which need some work to fit it .

  • Sounds ace. What a machine!

  • neat engine .where did you get that manifold from is it a cain 4 barrel .i have no clue where to get one .

  • Thanks mate the manifold is an original E34 item

  • thats 1 tuff VC. its good 2 c ther r still some ppl doin them up and showing them off. best note iv heard from a 265 ever. good 1 mate

  • there only one vc with a 265 like that in adelaide that i know...ela re...havent seen u in ages munga...come get a yiros sumtime...yia...p.s ought a 360 like a malaka..

  • to emre this is a tricked up classic vc mopar valiant chryslers ass of south australian love it

  • Sounds mad mate what are the cam specs if ya don't mine me askin?

  • Thats sounds great ,I need to get my motor sounding like that in my charger

  • That is 1 wicked sounding val.I am currently putting a work 265 into ground rebuild on my vc.Any chance of seeing how you have sortrd out your engine mounts. Will help me a shit load if ya could help.Cheers

  • The 265 is supported on the original k-frame using the standard engine mounts, there is however an extension plate welded to the lower flange on the RHS mount. Its kind of hard to explain, this is how it was interpreted on the engineers certificate.

  • Sounds Awesome. What size pipes and what mufflers are you running?

  • Thanks for the comment,

It is an original regal but the previous owner removed the mouldings and i choose to leave then off, gives it a bit more of a custom look.

Got webers on the car now will post another vid soon!

  • sick.another vc fan from adelaide.

    i have a regal aswell but with a 225.

urs looks mint man. how come u took off all the side mouldings?
