    :-)

  • Yes, i'll get fat at this rate!

    LOL!

    :-)

  • I've never heard or pumpkin bread or pumpkin roll, yes please do let me see them!

    :-)

  • It's similar consistency to a cheesecake

    :-)

  • Oh it was!

    :-)

  • I'm glad you got to try pumpkin pie... it's so wonderful.

  • It was surprisingly easy to make too

    :-)

  • yummity yum! :)

  • LOL!

    yes!

    :-)

  • Oh you'll have to keep us posted on the progress with your tomato plant. The pie looked delicious. : )

  • I will!

so far they are doing great!

    :-)

  • That's quite a collection you have there Twish. The pumkin pie looked lovely as did the choccy bars. Good luck with the tomato plant, it may not come to fruition this year but it may do depending on how hot the weather is this year. Fingers crossed.

  • Yes i realise it is very late to be planting out tomatoes... but so far the plant is looking healthy enough

    :-)

  • That pumpkin pie looked like it turned out really well :)

I have heard of the upside down tomatoes before but have never seen how it was done, keep us informed as to how it does and I may get one myself. I'm using you as my tester before I buy hahaha :)

    5*****

  • I will keep you updated, so far the plants are doing great in it!

    :-)

  • WOW great video Trish, That pie looked good mmmmmmm...... you should hang that Katrina book we sent on your wall. lol

    Peace,

    Allen

  • Well i would hang it but it's on my coffee table to show to all my friends!

    It's in pride of place!

    :-)

  • I'd like to try one of those tomato bag things. You have quite the collection there...I have a boomerang on my wall too :)

  • I love my boomerang, although i won't be throwing it! LOL!

    :-)

  • Very interested to see how the tomatos do! Very cool packages! Have you gotten anything from Iowa in the USA yet???

  • I received a few things from my friend there, she sent me a GOURD (is that how you spell it) because i'd never heard of them, and this one has a little hole in it for a bird to nest in although they haven't used it as yet.

Of course i have that hanging outside and not on my YT wall!

    :-)

  • P.S. The tomato hanger has been haunting me for weeks now. I've seen it on TV. I am very cuorious as to it's yield. I was considering trying one because I no longer have a veggie patch and will miss my tom's and hot peppers this year. Only thing is, I don't like the hangy bag, lol.

  • How can you not like the hangy bag? LOL!

The tomato plants are doing well so far but i have left it a little late in the season to be planting, but hey ho!

    :-)

  • I love pumpkin pie! And it so easy to make! Of course I won't be doing much baking now that it is so hot here, but I do make several of them in the colder months! I've seen those unside down tomato plants! I've been wondering just how well they do, so I will be watching to see...:-) *hugs*

  • I'll keep you informed about the tomato plants... it's probably a bit late for planting them now...but we'll see!

    :-)

  • Hay twish thank you for this video^^

    very interesting^^

and my name is in it^^

    Bye

  • You're most welcome Stefan!

    :-)

  • It's so good to see you just sitting there talking/vloggin!

  • Everyone likes vlogs i guess!

I just find them HARD to do!

But i am going to keep doing them!

    :-)

  • Commenti comm comment! I'm behind with watching again, having had a busy weekend.. :) Excuses, excuses.. :)

  • Oh i know!

I think we should all be given an extra day each week and we shall call it YTDay and on that day all we have to do is watch vids and maybe make one!

    :-)

  • Make that TWO days.. Just uploaded some videos from our visit to Halesworth onto my computer (it's another airfield museum) but they need converting to wmv.. and editing.. and I'm waiting for permission to use a photo that is on the museum website.. it all takes time! Plus I have to sleep in the day if possible.. :) No time for that though.. sigh.. Next weekend is fully booked as well, but I shall not complain!! I don't HAVE to do any of it... :) :) But I WILL...

  • Hi Hun Bun, very good vloggy :) isn't 'bisquits' the way some americans say biscuits?? Cond Milk!! omg I used to have that with tinned tangerines! lol xx

  • I haven't bought a tin of condensed milk for probably 20 years!

  • do they still make it? Carnation??... it can't be good for you ;p

  • Yes they still make it, it sticks to your ribs!

  • Pumpkin pie in May and upside down tomato plants? I'm growing a little concerned about you. :-) Actually, the pie sounds wonderful and the plants sound reasonable so now I'm growing a little concerned about me.

On the other hand, how do we know we're not torturing those poor plants? Perhaps their silence is really screams?

Perhaps I need other things to think about?

    Hugs, Christina

  • They don't call me the queen of the nutters for nothing!

    LOL!

    :-)

  • MMMMmm, the pumpkin pie looked delicious, I could almost smell it cooking in my house!! Enjoy your time off work this week, who knows what else you'll cook up!! : )

  • Thank You!

    :-)

  • Yummy!!!

  • It was!

    :-)

  • I don't mind... I'm a Nutter! hehehe I laughed when you said that, you're so adorable and lovely! xoxo Hugs, Twish!

  • Hi darling Allie!

how are you doing over there?

i think about you a lot, i hope your plans for surgery are going well and that you are still best friends with water!

    :-)

    x hugs x

  • i wanna send you something from ny please send me ur address...honest...don't worry i only stalk puppets :)

  • OOh how kind!

    :-)

  • I love pumpkin pie too! I have made the filling from scratch before, but it takes forever! I need to send you a recipe! hummm? LOL Hugs! Rad

  • hell yeah!

  • So cool. Love your YouTuber's Wall. Soon you'll have something from me to add to it. :D

Mmmm I love pumpkin pie. That looked delicious. And yay for the shout-out to Stefan. We love him!

    xoxox

  • OOOH

    how nice!

    yes Stefan is lovely

    :-)

  • Hey Twish! Glad you like pumpkin pie- I adore that pie - especially with whisky in the pumpkin filling =P

Your wall looks amazing, looks a little bare though- hopefully you'll get some more stuff from Youtubers soon!

  • OOH whisky in it too?

    yummy!

    :-)

  • I was tickled pink to have you mention me Trish! I will never get over the thrill of seeing things that I held in my hands somewhere else in the world.

Once again YT has enriched my life.

    Thanks.

  • Thank you for your kindness Tammy

    :-)

  • Tammy I know what you mean. When I see someone take a bite of a cookie that I baked and decorated and packaged I get goosebumps all over. I will never get use to that feeling..

  • I hope to get my tomato plants in the ground this week... AND I'M LATE!

  • I know!

We should have done this last month!

I blame you entirely, keeping me glued to the PC instead of being outside planting

    ;-)

  • Bisquick is great, but unless it says "fat free" it probably has lard in it. On the side of the box is a recipe for waffles and pancakes and some other things... like "drop biscuits". If you make them, substitute the water with beer (not dark beer) it's divine... no joke!

Drop biscuits are very easy as they don't need rolling out... they are 'dropped' onto the cookie sheet and then put in the oven. Mrs. FSTOPDR doesn't like them, but I do. :)

  • OH MY!

waffles, pancakes, drop biscuits... i'm hungry now!

    :-)

    beer eh? mmmmmmmm

  • Glad you liked your pumpkin pie. It's okay but it's not one of my favorites! hehe. Hope your tomato plants do well. Your YouTube wall looks good. Have you ever seen/heard about that book you sent out for all the youtubers to sign and then send on? I have been wondering about that book. Hugs!

  • I have just been messaging the person that holds it. I was rather hoping that people would sign it and pass it on quickly

    x hugs x

  • "In the fullness of time" I really like that...I think it's been ages since I've heard someone say that. :-)

You need some Cool Whip for your pumpkin pie. :-P What traditional desserts do you make in England at Christmas?

Bisquick is a powdered biscuit mix-the biscuit that is like a flakey baking soda-leavened bread roll, not a cookie (in the US we're off from the rest of the world in this usage of the word). But there are a lot of recipes that use it as a base for the dough or batter.

  • Cool whip? is that cream?

I am looking forward to trying out the Bisquick

    :-)

  • lol it's hard to explain Cool Whip. It is artificial (vegetable oil based, I think) "whipped topping." Much less fat than whipped cream but one of those things that if you weren't raised with it you'd say "what in the world?" lol

  • Oh i know what you mean now! We have something similar here!

    :-)

  • To me, nothing kills a pumpkin pie faster than too much spice. There is also a pumpkin chiffon pie that I like.

There is a great holiday time tv advert here. Its the family feast and the grandfather "continues the long holiday tradition." You think he is going to squirt whipped cream onto his pumpkin pie... but he squirts it in his mouth.

Well, its almost June, time to boil the milk cans for my Christmas Banoffee PIe. This time I'm going to leave off the whipped topping and use ice cream.

  • chiffon pie? what the flipping heck is that?

  • LOL at your comment

  • :-)

  • Ma'am!!! Are you taking my job away from me? I mean, if you wanted pie, I'll send up the latest from the bakery to you! Just cos the brandy is getting more expensive these days, no need to loose staff, they will take a pay cut & I'll keep my expenses down to one clean moat at a time, fewer duck houses & i'll sell my second house in glasgow lol =) Love from Scotland PAul/Chef of nutters.... hopefully? xoxo

  • LOL!

Don't worry, your job is safe!

Just add pumpkin pie to the Royal menu!

    :-)

  • That's just like the Topsy Turvy. I've killed two tomato plants already. Good luck with yours!

Do you know I've never had sweetened condensed milk in a pumpkin pie, only evaporated milk? I should try it!

I love your wall of goodies from all over the world.

  • Well the pumpkin pie was very easy to make and very nice. I haven't bought condensed milk for years and never think about using it in anything but yes Dolores said she used evaporated milk too like you.

    :-)

  • Hi, I just love Pumpkin Pie too, I am the only one that loves it, my sister and family can't stand it I made it one Thanksgiving for everyone and no one cd stand it except me haha! Oh, well, I thought, more for me, (not liking Pumpkin Pie?!)

  • Well yes, if no-one else likes it then all the more for you!

    LOL!

    :-)

  • You have a wonderful youtube wall collection started.

    :)PJ

  • Yes i love it!

    :-)

  • I just love your videos< Twish...Have a wonderful week!

    Hugs, Sheri~

  • Thank you so much Sheri

    :-)

    x hugs x

  • I have a upside down tomato plant growing and it is really getting big and has 10 blooms on it already. I think it is doing better that in the pot or in the ground. I will show it in my next video.

I think you will be happy with yours too.

pumpkin pie is always good with a little whipped cream on top. :)

  • I think i am a little late planting tomatoes now, but so far the plants are thriving and looking healthy, yes i'd love to see yours

    :-)

    Hugs, Irene

  • I'll let you know how mine do!

    :-)

  • Trish I am so glad you liked the pumpkin pie.. you said condensed milk, are you sure it was not suppose to be evaporated milk ?? It looked delicious..Glad you got the spices finally

  • I used condensed milk for 2 reasons... first because the recipe on the little pumpkin spice mix jar told me to, and also because that's what i had in!

    It was delicious!

    :-)

    x hugs x

  • Now I have learned something from you. I will try the condensed milk next time.. It really did look delicious

  • :-)

  • upside down tomato plant? that is really cool. i'll have to see if we have them here as i would love to have one. mmm pumpkin pie!

ps-keep an eye out in the post. :)

    :-)

  • Dear Twish,

    GOD I love you!

That is all. I suppose you've been sprinkled aswell?

    Love, Sarah

  • Dear Sarah

I do not know if i've been sprinkled as i don't know what you are on about! LOL!

p.s You'd better watch out, i'm planning another parody video ;-)

Are you threatening me? Should I be hiding right about now? (you don't need to answer, lol)

  • yes i have been sprinkled!

    :-)

no i'm not threatening you... but i am practising Clarachk-speak!

  • What a lovely wall with a collection to die for! I am glad you liked the pumpkin pie. Isn't it delicious? Bisquick is a baking mix. Just add milk or water and you can make quick bisquits or dumplings for dinner, or a coffee cake. It's very popular here. Also comes in low fat now! LOL I hope you are having a nice holiday from work!!!!!

  • Thank you!

I don't know why British people don't have pumpkin pie, it's delicious!

    :-)

  • I hope you know how many lives you touch including mine --- thank you forever

    your friend in NYC

    Marc

    x hugs x

  • Hooray! You've finally been baptized with pumpkin pie! It is so yummy, isn't it? And do try the sweet potato pie recipe that

NaturalTwentyFilms included in her comment. It is soooooo good! I think you'll really like it, too. Tammy's recipe looked delicous. I'm going to try it, too, when I get a chance. It's lovely she sent you all the ingredients. Your YT wall is fabulous! You get the nicest things from some really fine people. Big love to you, Trish! Hugs,

    Pat

  • LOL!!!!

We can buy sweet potatoes here so yes i will try that next.

Thanks so much for being such a lovely person Pat, i love you!

  • LOL @ any pie!

    You're so lovely Joyce

    :-)

    x hugs x

  • Pumpkin pie is one of my favorites. Have you tried a sweet potato pie? Even better, if you can believe it! perfect for nutters. That wall is like a little YouTube museum. Cheers! A basic Recipe for Sweet Potato Pie (metric measurements): 454 g sweet potato 115 g butter, softened 200 g white sugar 120 ml milk 2 eggs 2 g ground nutmeg 1 g ground cinnamon 5 ml vanilla extract 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
  • I'm so glad you sent added your sweet potato pie recipe! I was going to do that, too, but you beat me to it. LOL. I agree that it's even better! It's my all time favorite holiday pie and in between times, too. :-) During the holidays, I sometimes substitute eggnog for the milk. Have you ever tried that? It's yummy, too. Hugs,

    Pat

  • Never tried the eggnog switch but it sound delicious!

  • *licks lips

    :-)

  • Eggnog? no but that sounds nice!

  • I am looking forward to trying it

    :-)

  • I`ve see those upside down tomato plants on tv...hope you get as many tomatoes as they show in the commerical..: O )

I don`t know why pumpkin pie is only made for the holidays...I make a pumpkin pudding all year long tastes just like the pie without the crust...

  • That's a great idea, it's like mince pies, i love them but you can only buy them at Christmas and no-one thinks of making them apart from then,,,but why!

    :-)

  • Mmmmm I might try pumpkin pie, it certainly looked good.

    :)

  • It had the same consistency as cheesecake, very rich and sweet

    :-)

  • I love those I have 4 hanging on my front porch. The pumpkin pie is very good but sweet potato pie taste the same to me. Thanks for sharing your video :)

  • I am going to try sweet potato pie next!

  • Better late than never so they say!

    :-)

  • Very cool! I have been looking at one of those tomatos hanging on my neighbors porch, wondering what the heck it was!!

    :-)

  • Oh I saw those tomato plants on TV. I hope it does well for you.

    :-)

  • I wonder how the tomatoes will go , best of luck.

    *hugs*

  • I'll let you know in the fullness of time Ran!

    :-)

  • It says in the instructions to keep the compost moist and to feed them weekly. I will let you know if i actually get any tomatoes from it!

    The pie is most delicious!

    :-)

  • I need to plant tomato's now. I don't have much garden room in my small yard which is also goverened by the Home Owners Association. Meaning our homes and yards have to look tidy or we a get a non compliance letter. I am sure though I can grow a couple tomatos plants which I severly miss and maybe I should g upside down with it ;).

  • They really don't take up any room and what's great is that the slugs can't get to them!

    :-)

  • i have been growing tomatos like that for years,,the pie look great,yummy..

  • Really?

I had never heard of doing that until recently when i saw these planters in a video

  • I love pumpkin pie!!!

    Good to see you :O)

  • Oh Tobie i always have such a big grin on my face when i see your comments on my videos.. the pumpkin pie is wonderful!

    Hugs

    Jessie

  • Whipped cream as well! Oh my goodness are you trying to fatten me up! LOL!

    :-)

  • Good luck with your tomatos! I've never heard of growing them upside down, but it sure makes for an interesting conversation piece!

I LOVE pumpkin pie!! It's nice to see all your gifts together. : )

  • I saw the upside-down tomatoe planters in a video here some time ago and thought what an ingenious idea they were for keeping the slugs off them!

    The pumpkin pie is delicious!

    :-)
