  • thank you for all of your great lessons, this is one is my favorites

  • Where you get your guitar at?

  • Tab ?

  • Eddie Cochran did this song the best.

  • Tnx Sam!

  • Love this version! You inspire me to practice. Thanks!

  • the WHO does much better on this song

  • Clean and kool

  • Fantastic! Need to buy myself a Gretsch.

  • unreal skills you have. awesome~!

  • @rexysa - Thanks. I wish my tone was better in this video - it sucks. I was trying to keep it clean for teaching purposes but it's too clean and bland.

  • Thank you...such a great vibe! Perfect and simply performed. I really must invest in another guitar...just like yours....wife won't be happy. But just one.....more is enough!

  • @steveVG77 LOL, trust me, it won't be enough!!

  • do u use a g6120 or 5120 in the vids. if its a 6120, is it the Reverend Horton Heat model or the Chet Atkins model?

  • @Steamaddict1603 - RHH.

  • @MyTwangyGuitar is there any chance that u are fretkillr?

  • @4youk - None.

  • @MyTwangyGuitar nice. You should really do a cover of Bring it Back again by the Stray Cats. Keep the awesome playing up!

  • @Steamaddict1603 - I have a cover of that up.

  • what guitar are you using! the colour and the inlays are beautiful!

thx for the vid btw =)

  • Excellent lesson. Licks played at speed then broken down and played slowly. Thank you for sharing this.

  • in the begining is the chord B major or what?

  • @rocker3875 - You can play B major or B7, they both work. Eddie Cochran plays B7, Brian Setzer switches between both of them.

  • Whats wrong with you people???

It shure ain´t easy without tabs, but I learned it by ear in a day or two...

    Like 10 hours a day!!!

    He is a great teacher...

  • Thanks for the lessons please keep the coming! Your the cooliest daddy-o

  • Hey dont even listen to this people, they are inkompetent, i think these lessons r amazing, perfect and simple.

    tnx

    MK

  • nice vid. Thanks for posting. TAB? Dude go to a tab site. There's hundreds of tabs for this. Do yourself a favor though and Learn it without the tab. You'll thank yourself later...

  • I think we should thanks this man for putting up this lessons rather than slag him off. I mean he plays the solo slowly with a great camera angle and really good definition. It is not too hard to follow if you use eyes and ears. If you want it bad enough you need to do some work.

  • ignore all of these douches saying it should be tabbed out, it may not be the easiest way to learn from your video but its still really good, I've wanted to play this solo for a long time and through dedication I learnt it from your video. If people want to learn the solo then stick at it and you'll get it.

Thank you for this video it really helped :)

  • Thank you! All the songs I like to play on my Tele! Finally I found your channel! Nice videos and instruction work. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  • Dude you were an asshole to mmgcash. He was talking about the solo and not the chords smart one. I would personally like a tab for the solo as well but you will probably tell me to play kazoo. He was right your way of teaching sucks and you didn't want to admit it. So get a life and stop being a jerk.

  • ill know iv'e arrived when i can play that good

  • what guitar is that (: ????

  • i like this song...and the guitar is cool also. Is there a GUITAR TAB for this? coz it would be easier.

  • awesome guitar and that neck it´s amazing how easy it´s look´s to play it.

  • Comment removed

  • lol you suck!!!!

  • There would be world peace if everyone played the guitar.

Can't risk breaking fingers and all....

  • @1971SuperLead not really. We'd still find something to fight about. There would probably be wars over guitar manufacturers, Or the most musically advanced empire.

  • crazycountryboy, Must we be so literal?

I do love the torsoless arms that play this floating guitar with such perfection.

I play this video real loud so my neighbors think I'm getting better on the guitar.

I remember when this music was lame (1975). Now, it's super killer stuff.

    Love Duane Eddy too

    Love that guitar tone.

For sale; one tiger stripe Jackson Soloist or will trade for 335 or Country Gentleman.

  • @1971SuperLead It was a joke bro. Your the one taking literal. I am a blues guitar player and the lead guitarist in a band. I was just foolin' with you.

  • I Love This Song!!! thank you 5******

  • hey is that an american gretsh?

  • Another great lesson. Thanks for posting it. Do you play someday more from Buddy Holly?

  • too fast !!! say the notes for the solo !

  • Thanks for this video.. I've a request, Rumble in Brighton possibly with slow video on the solos. Would be great!

  • @redfenderguy - Give me a break, man. It's the Setzer version. Rockabilly 101.

  • mate im sorry i didnt meen any affence

    honestly. no hard feelings ok?

  • i take it my apologie was not good enough to you then seens how you didnt bother replying ok fair enough. ill unsubscribe cant be arsed with people like you. just remember at least i had the balls to say sorry.

  • Sounds great my friend - Although I have a different take on it - I like your version.

  • Does anybody know if he's in a band because he could play lead

  • thx for the best lessons...and for the finest lookin'/soundin' orange guitars

  • Plz you are grate but can you take it slow and explain a bit more. You rock!

  • These are truly great videos! Great sound and clean playing!

  • Brilliant, I can't wait to pick up my guitar and try this.

  • EXCELLENT lesson,dude!!!5/5***** :-)

  • Absolutely superb. Great tutorial, wonderful guitar, great sound and great technique. Thanks so much. have a great Christmas.

  • amazing

  • You're putting so much time and effort into your lessons. I have learned a lot from you, you're a great inspiration to me. Thanks for all you do !

  • How dou you managed to learn the solo?

Any tab or just by ear?

  • Can you please tell me your amp setting ?

  • @MrRockabilly95 - Line 6 Gearbox Gold - no amp.

  • @MyTwangyGuitar - What setting do you use?

  • SA-WEET, OK I'm gonna tackle this and grind it out....Thank you for sharing and the time it takes, believe me Sam, I know how hard these lessons can be.

only your love of music, exceeds the effort you put into these lessons,

A big "an how" from us regular folks.

    davido

  • @ax1sg - Lessons like this take anywhere from 8 to 12 hours to produce, not including the time it takes to learn the stuff. It's worth it to me knowing it's helping a lot of people. I recall shooting this on Christmas Eve '08. It was that or go to the inlaws. When I finished taping this, I shot "Sleepwalk". Thanks for your comment, David.

  • How do I play the B chord?

  • man i think im in love with your guitar

  • One is enough - trust me.

  • Wish youtube videos ran smoothly.Just stuttering along.grumble grumble

  • loved this, it's so helpful

  • Thanks, it's my most popular lesson.

  • is there anything i can do to compensate for no whammy bar? by the way sick ass guitar man shes beautiful.

  • As a matter of fact, yes. Click on the link when the video starts and watch me perform it on my Telecaster.

  • Why dont you talk us through it?

Would be really helpful.I'm not good enough to tell which fingers are fretting and which ones are just hovering over.Just my 2 bits

  • do u hav any tabs for the solo parts ?

  • Not yet.

  • man i shouldve got a semihollow lol

  • Actually my tone is crap here. I kept it clean so that it would be easy to ear out the notes. Thanks.

  • MyTwangyGuitar is simply the best, technical skill and instructional work. Thanks from an old Guitarist.

  • Thanks!

  • je leert er niks vna

  • Hi, thanks for posting this; Ive learnt a lot because there is a clear shot of the keyboard and both hands. Are there any other free sites where I could learn:1)Dance the night away (Mavericks) 2) Guitar Boogie shuffle (Bert Weedon or Arthur Smith) 3)Hit and Miss (John Barrie 7) 4) The Liquidator (Harry J All stars) 5)Because theyre young (Duane Eddy). I can get the chords off the internet so Id be interested in just the intro or fill bars.

  • this is a GREAT instructional vid with all the differnt angles you show it from, most people on here dont take the time or put in the effort to make their instructional vid any good....do you teach for a living? if not you should

  • With your expert playing, there won't be any summertime blues for you! You should be pleased with the number of people you have inspired.

  • That is why I do it. To make people happy.

  • One day I'll be a great guitarist, just like you, twinkly fingers !!

  • Well done!

Tabs? How about you learn through visualization kids? I mean it is right in front of your face if you wanna know the damn song!
