@MenkoDany Theres not alot of alcohol but the theirs tons of drugs so be weary if your not down with that sort of thing, the place is amazing despite that though
@scrubmacdub No, you can't buy booze at Shambles unless it is from someone who smuggled it in. I saw one guy trying to sell cold beer outside a stage last year. Not sure if he was having much luck. Most people who bring booze drink it at the beach stage during the day. One of the great things about Shambhala is there is very limited drinking which eliminates many of the negatives (fights) that go along with it.
shambhala is the shit cant wait tell 2010 364 days 2 go im pumped for it woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
regarding the age issue.....I would guess that the majority of the people there are in there 30's....and the organizers of the event are definitely in their 30's if not older... so, no....you're not too old.....ever, to attend Shambhala....the whole point of it is to bring people together as one community, one love....in a common desire for peace and acceptance. if you disagree with that...don't go!!
i wonder how many people in the world are completely oblivious to this insanely sick ridiculous party........shamblahblah woot-woot 09's gunna be werd up......probs to the owners of the land...great idea.......being a local, i hope to one day spin some beats there....gotta love the kootenays...big ups to my buddies in nelson b.c. and kaslo b.c.
ha ha lovved the video thanks!! i get butterflies just watching it.. will be my third year and theres still not a day that goes by that shambhala doesnt pass through my mind in some shape wave or form of movement... only 83 days to go! annd its so funny cuz im pretty shure i camped like right beside you guys last year.. i definatly member your trippy set up with that tree!!!
well you have to drive down there from where your from soo gas all the food is about 10 or 5 bucks to eat down there bring your own its cheaper but no fires only camp stoves i would save about 500 700 if you need to buy your ticket
Hey planning to go to my first shambhala event any tips? i heard that theft is a problem and that somepeople you camp by are jerks is this true =/ for i will be bringing a younger crowd 16-18 yr olds
Warm clothing (the nights get pretty chilly up there!) Everyone we met last year was cool...as long as you respect those around you, you'll be fine. Have a good one!
hey there is lots to eat up there save money that the last thing you dont want to run out of and dress warm for the nights last year it rain so stay dry and happy shambhala
fuck yeah that year was awsome! Besides that fact that it was rainier than the last. but ohwell... mointure is good for everything. More British people should come to raves though. I met some their and they were great. Are British people fun at raves? hm........ I wonder what british raves are like? but yeah british people awere fun there anyways. I look forward to meeting more cool people there next year.
Hehe, we like our outdoor raves as well, although they're not quite on the same scale as Shambhala...some of the small gatherings in the Welsh hills are the best :-)
fucking love this thanks for the memories brought back 09 is gunna be off the hook travelling again from the uk this time with mroe friends cannot wait :P

My friend is trying to get me to go in August, but really... isn't 33 considered old enough to seem kinda creepy? o.O
I still have some party years left!
berner 2 years ago
no man ALL AGES! 33 isn't old, *especially* for shambhala. i go with friends who are 31, 33, and 37 and i still see a lot of people older than them.
patshmear10101 2 years ago
I love old people! They make me feel young!(I'm 29)
CharleneSunrise 2 years ago
I'm going my first time this year, too. I have a few questions:
What are all the genres of music playing?
What percentage of the people there are high?
Are there a fair amount of good looking women? Would I be satisfied if I have high standards?
R1PPA 2 years ago
1) A wide range of dance styles are covered - DnB, Psy, House, Breaks...
2) A good percentage
3) I think the PC answer would be 'there are lots of beautiful people at Shambhala!'
Enjoy!
