His book is confusing and he seems to leave out bits or skip over things and jump to (seemingly) unjustified conclusions. For all I've read about the book, he apparently does a good job of explaining things, but not from what I've read. I'm trying to get through it and understand it, I just wish someone could explain the missing bits to me.
UNIONIZATION OF CANADA AND USA WILL HAPPEN. EUROPE WILL EAT MY SHIT. CANADA AND USA WILL HAVE ONE CURRENCY NAD( NORTH AMERICAN DOLLAR) MEXICO IS NOT IN THE PICTURE. I RUN THE SHOW. I AM A BITCH AND EUROS WILL KISS MY NAD'S ASS. WATCH ME! CANADA AND USA WILL BECOME THE BIGGEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD! THE REST OF THE WORLD WILL BEG JUST TO GET VISA , NOBODY WILL BE ALLOWED, NO CHINESE STUDENTS, NO RUSSIAN STUDENTS, ONLY RICH ARABS IF THEY WANT TO DO SURGERY, FROM NOW ON I RUN THE SHOW, I HAD ENOUGH
Everything sounds really wise and profound in an old timey recording. It's too bad this guy's a moron. It's really funny how people seem to think that far right economics are not popular... look dude, neo-liberalism is practically cemented into today's political culture. To continue to pretend that Liberal economists have been dominating and ruining the long-term is a lie as they haven't been in power or in force nearly long enough to do so.
@Ravengaurd6 I agree emphasizing corporations and interest groups lobbying these crooks today. The politicians job is to get re-elected. Most people vote for who makes the best promise.
There are many roles in the machine dividing labor, and politicians choose advisers that are in their interest & interest corporate buddies supporting and lobbying them. They don't write much less read some of the bills that become law.
I wish we could get the gvmt out the business of doing business.
Friedman is a good economist who sees what's beyond the seen and unseen? LibertyPen(Uploader) you really need to go beyond what's see of Friedman(libertarianism) to the unseen(his economics). Friedman's economics believes low interest rates are good for the economy, they do not see the consequences of this action in other timeframes.
If Keynes is a master of looking only at one group and not the other groups, Friedman mastered the art of looking only at one timeframe & not the other timeframes.
@FoxPMcCloud You can get the entire audiobook at audible.com that you can download directly to your iPod or smartphone. It is not read by him, although it is very well narrated. I plan to post excerpts of it shortly. Please subscribe to my channel and you will be notified when I do.
Nice little echo chamber in the comments here. @hrosemd - "Nice job with the vid". No. Nice job of fail. All this video is, is a stab @ those currently in power, therein showing the partisan views of the individual who put the video together, & completely ignoring the damage done by those in power b4 the current crowd. I'd have given the editor more credit if they had equally shown Regan and George W. Bush in their video. Most libertarians will simply run 2 the Republican party when she calls.
@hamiltonz Hazlitt would have been every bit as disgusted with the Republicans as you are. In fact, probably more. Ever listened to Tom Woods? Jeffrey Tucker? The Austrian libertarians hate the Republicans every bit as much as they hate the Democrats.
This guy was the single greatest endeavored critic of Keynes. I'm almost done with "The Failure of New Economics" and it's almost laughable how well he eviscerates Keynesian terminology and theory. As Hazlitt said on Keynes' General Theory, "what's original isn't right and what's right isn't new." Idk a harsher way to critique a theory.
This guy's book is brilliant! Thanks for posting the video. I hope it will invite more people to read it.
By the way, is there an audio book out there, or do we have just this bit made for the video? I think it would be of much use to have other videos illustrating the other instances of the broken window fallacy, I mean the other chapters of his book.
@MrBWB I just did that, but I don't see many parts of it available; and the audio seems to be done with some kind of software, it doesn't sound natural unfortunately. Thanks for the suggestion though.
@eagleeye1975 More importantly, Keynes was an idiot who is today taught to mushheads by other idiots, usually at large gov't universities, though you can sometimes find them at politically correct universities like Harvard & Stanford.
The real tragedy is this posting has had only 4,500 views.

@Tommerman89 the economists were only the advisers to politicians who still rule and the laws they sign in persist on after them.

where did you get this at? I'd love to hear him red his entire book, and not just the first chapter or two.
