let me break down MY OPINION: certain individual peices are mediocore to good, however the whole is manipulative; it makes you think its supposed to be "deep" and "meaningful" and overall "excellent".

my conclusion is you need a good writer to bring out your full potential.
The only bad thing about this video is, that somewhere in all of those elites attacking (or running backwards) is me. And I can't figure out which one of those elites is me, its like playing "where's waldo" only as myself being waldo.

pretty well made but it seems all we can find in machinima that is good now is the serious stuff. i'm all for that but i think we should try and get some comedy in here. the farthest back i can remember a funny halo scenario that wasn't SNI was that skit called "Continuity problem" or something along those lines. all i'm saying is i like these depressing and dramatic machinimas but could we get some kind of comedy in here? it's kind of like a funeral all you can think is "JUST FUCKING LAUGH!!"

Dear lord. Not every video on Machinima needs to be funny. The fact we all expect them to takes away from the very point of Machinima. Video games are expressions of both entertainment and, to the more cultured and intelligent people, and art, at least for some games. There are serious Machinimas, funny ones, action filled ones, but that doesn't mean to say that art can't be put into a video game. Forge has this ability, no other game does, they made it so we can do what we want.

The Concept behind this wasn’t a bad one, the execution just horribly failed. This video can’t be criticized for being unoriginal, but it can be cricized for failing at what it could have been.
What a fantastic idea, and what an awful execution. The whole slow mo backwards thing is such a cool idea and could convey so much emotion, but this had no background, factions, characters, or anything. This director just invited all his friends to fight as elites and then took stock music and played the footage in reverse.

you guys do seem to realize the art in this video don't look at it as elites fighting in reverse think of it as art how the people who made this wanted to show something like how you can go back to peaceful times where if you can just go back... this video is more then meets the eye.
I though it was an interesting experiment. I think that people who whine about this kind of video and then unsubscribe shouldn't have subscribed to Machinima in the first place. Machinima is more than people making video game and pervert jokes; these guys were actually trying to make something different. I certainly found this better than other machinima put up, yes, but you can't expect gold from every video a channel posts, especially one so large as Machinima.
I liked it it was kinda cool but what they could of done was center it so that the fighteing lead to piont before where every thing was real peaceful so to add more emotion but other than that it was real cool and artistic almost.

The production was good but lacked depth. It was entirely in reverse and didn't tell us anything. It was Elites fighting Elites. We didn't get a why, where, when, or even a who, really. Nameless, faceless Elites just slaughtering in reverse.
It would have been successful if some of those questions had been even partially answered.

it may seem stupid, but when you look it's actually done quite well. nice camera angles, nice music for background and the style is not done so much. it also shows their "war" in a way that gives a more sad feeling instead of the adrenaline feel most people seem to want these days. it reminds me of "the scientist" from coldplay
Why is it that XBox games get so many machinima videos while PS3 exclusives get very little Machinima videos. Killzone 2 only had "the horrible helghasts" Uncharted 2 has Very good machinima editing tools but it also has Few series.

I though it was an interesting experiment. I think that people who whine about this kind of video and then unsubscribe shouldn't have subscribed to Machinima in the first place. Machinima is more than people making video game and pervert jokes; these guys were actually trying to make something different. I certainly found this better than other machinima put up, yes, but you can't expect gold from every video a channel posts, especially one so large as Machinima.

@Cyberpsycosis Piano music and special effects on your text do not equate to art. That said it was very clear they put a lot of effort into it and I respect that.
The production was good but lacked depth. It was entirely in reverse and didn't tell us anything. It was Elites fighting Elites. We didn't get a why, where, when, or even a who, really. Nameless, faceless Elites just slaughtering in reverse.
It would have been successful if some of those questions had been even partially answered.

it may seem stupid, but when you look it's actually done quite well. nice camera angles, nice music for background and the style is not done so much. it also shows their "war" in a way that gives a more sad feeling instead of the adrenaline feel most people seem to want these days. it reminds me of "the scientist" from coldplay

I own a 360 and only a 360 no PS3 or gaming PC.
Why is it that XBox games get so many machinima videos while PS3 exclusives get very little Machinima videos. Killzone 2 only had "the horrible helghasts" Uncharted 2 has Very good machinima editing tools but it also has Few series.
in UC2 u have more choices to do etc, In halo there are lesser things to do.
I mean u cant jump and dance and "realistically" teebag anyone(lol).

Also this allegation that Xbox Live has been hacked, is false. The games on it have been hacked, but not the actual part of Xbox Live that matters.
