who in their right mind would release their only bug type when the psychic type gym is nearby. (Seriously, Ash gets his butt kicked by Sabrina in a couple of episodes)

@weegee31337 I don't mean to sound like a geek but in that generation there were only two offensive bug moves (twin needle and leech life) which only beedrill and zubat/golbat could use (they were also poison types so would be at a tremendous disadvantage!).

I'm glad they changed it in the later games, psychic pokemon were way too powerful because ghosts were meant to be super effective against them as well but it was the other way round for some reason.
