You're right Yasi, its not so much how complicated the solo is but how it "feels". Just ask BB King. You did a great job of recapturing the vocal moan and wail of this beautiful song. I see you working that vibrato and hearing someone utilize nice bends always makes me think of the notes being "sung" by the guitar and not just "played"...great piece, and thank you for accepting my friend invite! Check out Gary moore when he worked in Thin Lizzy...I bet you would tear that stuff up!

i really like it, you are a bit early on the beat which gives the solo a very thriving note and as opposed to others I like the tapping. You can either try to reach Gary's intensity and expression or to express yourself and I prefer the latter.

THe thing about yasi is that she is young and she is inputting all these styles, techniques, ect, NOW! All this is going into her long term memory that in time will be built upon and grow. Steve Vai wasn't around to copy himself, so, we can only imagine what will happen with these young future guitarist! I am eager to see!

Technique doesnt matters not much as playing guitar, no doubt u know that. I dont know how some players show that feeling what matters a lot of for me. Well, I think this song really fits you. In my opinion you should focus on playing emotional songs, some of David Gilmour works for instance. Explore different styles, I think you have one hell of a potential and obviously you are very talented, but still you seem to lack your own style - yet. 2,3 more years and your playing will be truly amazing - it already is in a way, considering how long you have played. Keep up the good work, you're really gonna be something, mark my words :)
