@deadlykill7 he only did that so the fairy ocarina cutscene doesnt happen and he can skip the ocarina. He does use it though, for the scarecrows song towards the end of this vid. but he used the "ocarina items" glitch to use it, even though its not in his inventory. Remember this is Low%

Sorry, but I don't get what you mean by any%, like if it means you just get any percent of the game done why put it, because you do that in any run, and what does RBA stand for?

@Thatgameguy89 any% has no limitations of how badly you can break the game. timing starts when you turn the game on and finishes when you finish Ganon. the only things that need to be done or collected are essential / save a huge amount of time. RBA stands for Reverse Bottle Adventure, which is just a fancy way of manupulating the skills of a bottle to dupe over item and other such things.

@Holtz50 I know it's a 3 month old comment but whatever. this run skipped an encounter with the owl three times by swapping quickly between the deku stick and the kokiri sword not giving the game time to check whether link is within range so the owl can abuse you for unnecessarilylong periods of time.

and ye. falling down the hole is quicker because it resets the chicken used to jump the fence right back to near the pen.

Runnerguy was doing the same kind of run, but I think he got a bottle by fishing, getting a golden scale and diving for the bottle in front of the zora´s domain portal. I just wondered if this way is still faster, since this way is TAS, and he´s doing it on a real console.

it is indeed quicker to do the new forest escape without a shield and get the ruto's letter bottle then ;)

We need a proper reset so we can get out of the Temple of Time quicker after becoming an adult. We could just fall into the void and deathwarp, but that's slower.

Nah. We had to wait until sunrise anyway for the castle drawbridge to be open. :) We just timed it so that we got to the owl right at sunrise - that way, we could skip waiting for the drawbridge to actually open when we arrived at it.

one suggestion: do not download the one off of Mupen's official websites. It should say Mupen 0.5.1 or something. If you have that it won't let you rerecord or frame by frame.

Don't compare this to Runnerguy's run. His is a console run, meaning he played it himself and his goal was to show his skill and get as low a time as was realistically humanly possible.

The goal of this video was just to 1. show the theoretical minimum time if the player was perfect, and more importantly, 2. to provide entertainment. This video was made using tools to achieve a perfect run through, removing things like human error.
