Hard to believe this movie is now 10-years-old. I know it was released in 2002, but it was completed in 2001 and was originally supposed to come out then.
Both versions of The Time Machine are excellent, but the second one was somewhat better mostly because Wells' great-grandson was involved in the process to keep it more true to the spirit of the book.
@titowozza I just now saw your comment after a few months- listening to this tune reminds me of the time when I was sitting in the theater with my best friend at the time (he disappeared out of my life a few months later and I have not seen him since- but I have talked with him on the phone over the years) and we were watching this movie together. He was not really into it, but he did go to it because I had been wanting to see it. My life has really changed so much since all the way back then.
Oh no ... HEHE, when I read my comment I think i did not make myself clear. I wasn't criticizing you. What I meant is that it was good that you overcame it, because you said you watched it so many times. that's it. and you had to trade it because of that , and yeah.. is true... when one gets older, there are many responsabilities, But stilll is fun to watch your favourtite movies once in a while.
@RodrigOscarVl I assume your reply is referring to what I wrote- let's just say that some things are cool for a while, then they eventually get old and are not cool anymore. I loved this movie when I saw it at the theater and walked out wanting to see it again. I know if I saw it now, I probably would not mess with it again after the first time. As I got older, I realized there are too much responsibilities in life to be obsessed with your favorite movies and spend all your time rewatching them.
I remember seeing this at the theater when it came out. It was the third best movie that year (with 'Spider-Man' and 'Attack of the Clones' being the first and second best) to come out. I thought this movie was so cool that it got me buying the original made back in 1960 as well as the classic novel first published in 1895. I bought it on DVD and watched it so many times until I felt like I had seen the story to death. Unfortunately I ended up trading it in because of that- but I still like it.
"Where would you go?" More important than where is; When.
