Lynda you were and STILL are Wonderwoman. This "new gal" has NOTHING on you!!! I give The new Wonderwoman show by NBC 5 episodes before they pull it! You see you were destined to play Wonderwoman. Smart, athletic and sexy with a kind and loving heart you took the role VERY seriously and it shows in the episodes. You will be Wonderwoman for a VERY long time before they can take your tiara!!!
The thing here is that back in the 70s we got such bad fight choreography on tv largely because the networks had limitations on how violent their action-adventure shows could be. Hence awkward fight scenes such as this one.
what a fight scene they neede bruce lee to help make these fight scenes better they are the worst ever...like standing still fighting like stiff robotic people..laughable sht
Wonder Woman vs. a Bruce Lee wannabe. The only chance that this guy has of defeating Wonder Woman in a karate fight is if he has a friend sneak up behind Wonder Woman and remove her magic belt to make her powerless. But the guy is such a bad martial artist that even a weakened Wonder Woman would most likely beat him.
This guy realized that he was in trouble when he landed two punches that would had knocked out ordinary opponents and they had no effect on Wonder Woman. If he had removed Wonder Woman's magic belt and then landed those same punches, he could had knocked out Wonder Woman and taken her inside the warehouse, where she would be his helpless prisoner when she awakened.
@Girardifan - No..... She stil would be a six foot tall woman who knows kung fu and is very strong. She could have knocked that guy out even without her belt.
@wjb4341 On the TV show, the magic belt is the source of Wonder Woman's Amazon powers when she's away from Paradise island;the moment her magic belt is removed, Wonder Woman loses her powers and is just a normal woman. Maybe Wonder Woman should had taken some karate lessons so that she can defend herself even when her magic belt is removed.
that is some o' the most bullshit ass choreographed fightin' I've seen in a while - she should'a trained for some kind'a martial arts, to make action scenes like this more believable.. ..you all need to watch Jessica Biel (Whistler's daughter)Blade III I believe - now that's one hot ass, that trained to whoop some..
Like you I agree that this was a poor effort to portray Wonder Woman in combat. If there was such a person like Wonder Woman existing she would have been much better at karate etc than what Lynda , Wonder Woman, Carter was allowed to demonstrat, Lynda sure looked the part in the costume, but sadly not in her acting.
You should consider that EVERY 70 show look really stupid by today's standard. That scenes were filmed 29 years ago. To me, even as you can tell that Lynda isn't the most gifted actress in the world, there's no artist that could do a better job with that character than her
Lynda Carter was always at her best playing a helpless Wonder Woman;that's why the episodes in which Wonder Woman is powerless because her magic belt has been removed ("Fausta, the Nazi Wonder Woman", "Judgement From Outer Space" Part 2 and "The Bushwhackers") are the best episodes of the series.
Those were the days before shaving was popular. FLUFF!

I think her acting wasnt bad but her fighting was horrible and the acting of all the other goons in the show was horrendous

I think she's wondering what the guy is doing there and tries to copy it to show him that she's not impressed.
Maybe it's her first karate combatant.

The dull blank look on her face and those flailing kicks don't hide a 3rd rate actress.
