This is a check to keep our nation from turning into a military-controlled state. Servicemembers sign that dotted line to give almost all of their freedoms away so you might keep all of yours - THIS, is one of those. If a solider wants to say why a candidates foreign policy is right, he should be able to (especially since he's the one in combat to begin with). CPL Thorsen is out of line. The military is....by law/regulation....prohibited from participating while in uniform in political speech. The Soldier is NOT the voice of all Soldiers nor does he have the authority to speak as a representative of the US Army. All members of the military have the duty to vote during elections, but they are NOT allowed to endorse a candidate while in uniform. I would imagine that his is a member of the NG since an E4 with 10 years of service is rear on AD.
