I don't know, I lived through the 60's and I remember the Fuggs (couldn't play or sing any better than this) and other groups not much better than this. Some of it is embarrassing to recall. Check out some of the Band Cameo performances in B Grade films from that era. Some of it was funny, Annette Funicello, backed by the Beach Boys sang the title song to the film, The Monkey's Uncle.
