  • @jx14aby To bad you've done fuck all with your life apart from leave vile comments on here.

  • @Nellynoodlebums

    Okay, its gone.

  • i love how serious they look, yoko screams and she ruins it XD

  • Yoko has an unparalleled talent for perfectly imitating the sound of a dying chicken.

  • @philh37 can't anybody quit saying neg things about Yoko for once. Yoko is a talented artists in her own right.

  • is that frank zappa on the right?

  • Anything that Yoko Ono touches she destroyed, and this is a proof. Hhhhhhhhhhhhh.

  • @Babillonia Really? So this was just a masterpiece except for the Yoko part? Yeah right. Jeeeezuz. I'm not trying to defend Yoko, just reason.

  • so this is what one great musician and eleven acid heads sounds like.

  • this is rubbish

  • this is just terrible

  • Shock Art.........John loved to shock people. The few that understood what they were trying to do were few and far between. John stuck to his guns & in the end THEY

got him but not before he left his mark.......//o-o\\...Namaste

  • Think John Lennon met his 'doppleganger' (sic).

Oh come on YOKO FITS RIGHT IN. Lol

  • Absolute crap.

  • Did somebody shrink Howard Stern? Caca-Roaches??

  • seriously.. what a shit song!!

  • who is the 'singer'?

  • @eblanaken I presume it's David Peel, and the band is the lower east side or something or other. John should've hooked up with The Fugs...this is kak man!! What was John thinking, it's all a bit 'school boy rebellion', which is great if you're school boys, not grown men. Please...

  • yup, greatestxgift, I do compare pioneers with other pioneers. I realize that ppl are overly critical with Yoko. It's all a matter of taste and I admire her. I don't care if some dislike her work. She, like John, were rule breakers and iconoclasts. If John could love her, love her work, then who am I to disagree?

  • Jerry Ruben in the white shirt i think???

  • The coolest guy ever.

  • @chicherchio ye he looks like he could have joined the RAMONES...shame he died

  • Hello man!

    Can i please you?

Can you look our first cover bu Lennon John - Imagine. We love The Beatles if you love too.add friends

  • Truly cool. John was a genius. I don't see how Yoko "ruins" it at all. Yoko is a pioneer, just as John was. I love this song!! <3

  • @krishnaislove Are you joking??? Are you really comparing fucking Yoko Ono as a pioneer of any sort, let alone on the level of John Lennon?...seriously???

  • These folks are now running the Government.

  • @raven15136 you mean fucking hippies with long hair are now running the united stating?? is that what you mean? silicon valley more like...they're all in Californica sipping my champagne...we'll debate...or maybe not

  • This is not shit! It's what they used to play like in the late 50's. Like he said it's what they used to call Skiffle groups. Without thise kind of style music The Beatles may never of happened? John Lennon is a Legend! R.I.P

  • John just kind of lost it in the end.

  • People do realize that lennon and yoko are in the middle, meaning that john is not singing, right? You're all seeing that right?

  • @Jimmydean1989 Wrong I was playing conga in this video and he was singing , why I don,t know but we had a great time on that show. Love+Oeace Lance

  • @lance4919

But his mouth isn't even open most of the time people are singing. Save for the chorus, where everyone appears to be singing, though the main guy is still the loudest. He's playing that bow thing the entire time next to yoko. Not singing. You are being sarcastic right?

  • @Jimmydean1989 That bow thing is a bass when Lennon first starting playing. When you tell me what the name of the band was and what type of music it was called let me know.

  • @lance4919 Firstly, I don't care what the name of the band was or what type of music it was/is for that matter. Regardless, it's complete rubbish that has John Lennon plopped in it, so of course people are going to take a look at this video. In truth it sounds like a shitty muppets song brought to life by people who look like the trashy sleazy druggy scumbags hippies from nyc (Hippies without the sincere free love peace values) and play their instruments like no, worse than kindergartners.

  • Comment removed

  • @lance4919 Two of the musicians were pros from Record Plant Studio, and yes the others were Hippies who were on tv with John Lennon.Love+Peace Lance4919

  • @lance4919 do you know, I always thought that RECORD PLANT had something to do with ROBERT PLANT ah ahaa ahaha....where is it? is it still alive ? cos' wessex in London and other great studios are not. Destroyed by the mongrels...even the ASTORIA in LONDON been demolished...

  • @lance4919 Your conga was sensational. I only wish that you'd write more about Yoko. She's so misunderstood. Like Beethoven, Yoko's music is for a later time. She did so much for John. He would have been completely lost without her. Peace & Love to you too.

  • john was slumming this day.

  • they should have put yokoi in thegarbage can

  • This is pretty lousy.

  • The Beatles was just a 2nd rate band & John was smart to quit when he did. It was Yoko Ono who set John in the right direction. This is John Lennon at his very best. Had The Beatles been Paul, George, Ringo, John and Yoko they would have been a first rate band. This ensemble on David Frost's show is simply unbeatable. Paul McCartney was probably eating his heart out while watching this performance. Inspiring & truly magnificent!

  • @unclejuniorsoprano you lost the plot

  • @unclejuniorsoprano no mames!!!!!!

she set him in the right direction to death and to redicule himself.

  • I like how he has his lyrics to look at.. He must have been stoned off his ass.

  • is that jerry rubin wearing the "this is not here" shirt?

  • The Combination of John and Yoko was like having the Hope Diamond, then , having it mounted on a TURD! ..... A very, Very, Loud Squeaky Homely TURD w/soy sauce.

  • no1 dares to coment :/

  • So that's the real David Frost of Frost/Nixon fame. Cool.

  • Mmm... :-/

  • John's A cool Rich Hippy (There is no such thing) he is no hippy.

  • Creepy Yoko!

  • I'll bet john did this for a joke.

  • Wow... i feel that in that moment john was like "Damn.. From The Beatles to this..." Poor Dude

  • this is sooo cool

  • is that the rev bud green? I used to see that guy on Maury Povich talking about how he was friends with lennon.. I thought he was full of it..

  • Self-serving drivel this is...what a godawful shit stain

  • john's good to be in the back...he was always about the art (hence yoko)..he just wanted to play...never seemed to want to be famous..LOVE YOU...MISS YOU AND YOUR INFLUENCE

  • she was shelding him from the crazeis to bad she missed one

  • It was Dec. 1971 and I had a great time hanging out with the group of hippies and John +Yoko this T.V.was the toward the end of week with them. You can say what you want but I guess you just don't get it .

  • Pathetic.

  • Haha, only lennon. :D

  • ultra hippies nada mas que decir

  • whats howard stern doing singing

  • "lobelia sound" medium rare

  • I suppose with Lennon just moving to New York he wanted to meet new musicians maybe? thing i dont like about this is-its a shit song all the band are high on dope-look awful and Lennons in the back!! no wonder he got rid of them soon after!

  • John Lennon is so versatile. He will try everything, even this....................

  • Yoko making sure she's in the picture. She should have just climbed on his back.

These folks or southern rednecks ? I'll go with the Necks.

  • Dope addled ego maniacs. How completely not entertaining.

  • jerry rubin needed some conditioner!

  • dirty, clean, uptight or liberal... uniforms are uniforms.. why take pride in them? "This is not here" was the best part..

But really, I don't think the message was in the song .. probably contextual to times and meant for the moment.. maybe Yoko could enlighten us

  • Its nice to see some shred of intellectual commenting on YouTube. Rare indeed. I think John and Yoko almost look like their own look-alike/ impersonators in most shots. Don't you agree?

  • uh, this isn't john lennon

  • he's in the back....

  • he's playing a bungalo.

  • Cool !!!!

  • RIGHT ON! Bring it all back man.

  • life is just a poop.

  • sheer nonsense

  • this is shit

and yoko still manages to ruin it

  • seriously.. what a shit song!!

  • @camerooniepooniepoo , Yoko was obviously the one that mattered most to John in his life.

But she doesn't measure up to you. You're a loser. Grow up.

  • @mrearlygold not really you stupid little shit. they may have been in love, but she wanted him the whole time, giving the band no time. that not only involved her in john's decision to split up, but also ruin john and paul's friendship. so why don't you grow up, and go get facts using wikipedia before you reply hrm?

  • @camerooniepooniepoo I'm sorry, but Yoko did not break up the Beatles. John, Paul, George, and Ringo broke up the Beatles. Paul has said before that it was a band of four front men, and that he was surprised that they lasted as long. Granted, Yoko didn't help the situation at all, she had little to do with the split.

I think the whole "Yoko broke up the Beatles" is just an uninformed opinion that spread like wildfire, and neds to be put down.

I'm not a Yoko fan, BTW, I'm an information fan

  • @mrearlygold also, notice how 8 people voted my comment up, you have been voted down...

and by the way...you are a year late.

  • @camerooniepooniepoo "I'm Proud To Be Living In New York City As A Hippie"

  • Too weird. I'm glad they were content to be living with the "cockeroaches." I'd expect that they're still doing so.

  • i think their having fun! ^_^... LOL! wish i was with them....

  • David Peel had a very funny song called Happy Mother's Day:

"Happy Mother's Day, Happy Mother's Day,

    I am your child

    I am a runaway

Living on the east side, always getting high..."

  • hahahahaha.....what the fuck is John doing there with all those bunch of "new york city hippies".

  • yes, good question. why did he sink this low? it makes no sense.

  • Crap.

  • That man is David Peel.

  • who's the man that looks like Slash?

  • LOL! Hippie Skittle music! Love it!

Hey is that Zappa up front?

  • no way is that frank zappa

  • it´s not crap.......is just...weird...

  • was a #1 song ?

  • Those are some scary looking people.

  • what on earth is this

  • ??? this suks?? ....idk..

  • What a load of crap!!who would tolerate this if John Lennon wasn't involved??

  • Wow, John Peel showed up at my friends party in Stony Brook, NY back in '91. He watched us jam then did some of his songs - Marijuana Cop, etc. I had no idea who he was at the time.

  • This is what happens when you take too many drugs.

  • The song bitches about people caring too much about money: The McCartney/Costello song "The Other Side of Summer" said it best "was it a millionaire who said imagine no possessions?"

Gotta love the hypocrisy, The Pistols said it best: "Never trust a hippy"

  • fuck paul and mccartney for asking that question...paul wrote about love and understanding and look what a petty shit he was at times...imagine is an ideal, the point is not to think that money isthe answer to problems or the solution...it is about taking care of the needs of people the short time they live on earth..there is no hypocrisy you lousy punk piece of shit.

  • exactly: "IMAGINE no possessions." IMAGINE. key word, here. (replying.)

  • totally agree

  • The Pistols later said that they loved The Beatles and Prog Rock! The Pistols were commercial nonsense..

The Other Side Of Summer was written solely by Elvis Costello.

  • John looks like he's having fun.

  • I was not here ; )

  • Comment removed

  • Actually Lennon looks like Peel. Peel had the look before John

  • thankyou/enjoy

  • thats yippie jerry rubin in white tee saying

    this is not here

  • Yoko.... sheez. What a loaf.

  • probably. except Lennon is a good looking guy and Peel quite frankly isn't. Hey-did he say cock a roaches? OMG! LOL!

  • Peel doesn't necessarily look like Lennon-He looks like Howard Stern actually.

  • It was just another Phase that Lennon did In His Life , Imangine that. It was a Hards Day Night and he was looking for some Help.I was glad to be a part of The Lower East at that time.

  • is that zappa?

  • I can smell the patchouli from my living room.

  • john was being used by people like jerry rubin and david peel. they would have been nowhere man if it wasn't for their connection with john. they latched on to him when came to NY for their own selfish agendas. john was a sensitive caring man. these guys are just assholes.

  • Even though this looks like it was fun to do, it's still kind of crappy...

  • 1 mierda!

  • why is good ol' Howard Stern of course, Mr Cobain.

  • whos the guy at the front who really really wants to be john lennon?

  • its david peel. look him up so you know. and theres crazy old jerry rubin up there too!

  • thanks

  • That guy kinda blows

  • maybe you should listen to some of his records. try "have a marijuana" and relearn your alphabet. or maybe it's just not for you.

  • I'm more curious about the guy who really really wants to be Frank Zappa, next to Peel!

  • that "guy" in the t shirt that says "this is not here" is jerry rubin, one of the most important and forgotten american activists in the last 50 years.

  • Well,I know who Jerry Rubin is. I really meant the other guitar player with the Zappa moustache...

I had never heard of David Peel though, and I am really going to look into his work.

  • @sandykopi thats yours truely with the zappa mustache tom doyle i was playin the 12 string guitar and stayed with the music for to long check out projecttomdoyle.tripod.com thats my story the night of the frost show was a majick moment thanks Tom

  • @musictd Dear Sandy: That's you up there in front? What an honor to have been on stage live with John & Yoko. What a moment that must have been for you. well for me, I thank you for making this sweet moment with John possible. Just seeing him up there doing what is near & dear to his heart & what was at the source of his life & career as an artist and man in the world. I love the Lower East Side. Greetings from Philly, Sincerely Charles "A Big Lennon & NYC fan forever.

  • Where is Alan Webbermann...?

  • seems like its kinda like the tone of proud to be an okie from mestokee

  • John and Yoko came to the USA and hooked up with Jerry Rubin who 'introduced' them to the US above/underground J.Sinclair,David Peel et al activists who used JL's fame to further their causes and viceversa. David Peel a lower Eastside busker earlier lucked out with an lp Have a Marijuana. He latched on to Lennon like a hog at the slop trough. Here Peel is at the pinnacle of his 15 minutes of fame.Jerry Rubin later sold out for a Wall Street firm. What If John had hung with Abbie Hoffman instead?

  • Its amazing how many people used him to further their causes. Poor John.

  • Still he seems to be having fun and its good to see him relaxed etc. Yeah what if he hung with Abbie Hoffman instead?? Saddly they are both dead now .. hum.....

  • John name drops David Peel in his song

NEW YORK CITY which is on the album

SOME TIME IN NEW YORK CITY

  • An answer to Merle Haggards

    "Okie from Muskogee", perhaps?

  • this is pretty cool

  • If it wasn't for Lennon's fame this shit would never have made national tv. You know the tv folks are laughing their asses off back stage lol. I wish Lennon would have stayed with cynthia so much she is such a sweet soul.

  • I don't know, I lived through the 60's and I remember the Fuggs (couldn't play or sing any better than this) and other groups not much better than this. Some of it is embarrassing to recall. Check out some of the Band Cameo performances in B Grade films from that era. Some of it was funny, Annette Funicello, backed by the Beach Boys sang the title song to the film, The Monkey's Uncle.

  • Cynthia is the best ! He probably would not have made it to where he was without her.

  • I think the majority of beatle fans agree with you. the lows that Lennon hit, this moment being one, after leaving the Beatles are really extraordinary.

  • Thank you so much! I just think John may have gotten taken advantage of you know? I love Lennon and really think he was a very smart man. I also think if he would have not known Yoko then he might of had better solo music then McCartney and not gotten tied into her plastic ono band stuff.

  • Hippie Howard Stern!

  • is that Frank Zappa with the ghotee on the right?

  • omg it looks like him idk if it is though

  • John is trying to take music back to its roots, trying to get away from the whole ceebrity superstar thing. Those who criticise think that todays corporate, targeted, marketed crap is more real and relevant???

  • lol

  • What was John Lennon thinking playing with this David Peel charactor???

  • the song is rubbish

  • Genious! Clones of John and Yoko...Joe Cocker...Frank Zappa! I never saw this before...With the real John and Yoko in the background...Love it!
