@FieryAngelSpit seeing how he studied at Berklee College of Music, i'd say he was very aware of any chords he was playing. Thats not to discount what you mean by him playing through feeling though, you can tell that he plays with tons of it. I'm just sure he's aware of theory, shapes, arpeggios etc as well

He's a good product demonstrator...if you notice, he plays holding-pattern (less flashy) licks until the guy in the crowd says that his camera is rolling, then Abe starts goin crazy. but he never looked directly at the guy, it;a like he knew they weren't ready yet
