  • 1977 without doubt has to be the single best year for music ever!!!

  • Played all these as current hits on a top 40 AM radio station in my town, I was 19 and lovin' the music, DJing at school dances, taking requests on the phone, hanging out with some of the listeners, feeling like a rock star when I would go out on a remote broadcast, and during the summer of 77 I drove the station's "Prize Patrol" red Camaro. I even remember where I was when I heard some of these songs for the first time. So when they come on again, I have images in my mind. AM 1320 rocked!!! <3

  • I have been looking for a song for years but did not know his name or who sang it, today I found thanks to you. gracias

  • @elpollonregio Aww.. that's great! Glad to be of help. :o)

  • I just have to close my eyes, listen to your compilation, and be transported to a happy time! Thx again.

  • Thank you for such great memories, such fun times when the world was just right. Wish I could close my eyes and just tap the heels of my shoes three times and go back in time.

  • @rgracia633 You're welcome, 'Dorothy'. :o)

  • Thanks my Friend Grasshopper Club Zurich, the most popular, the oldest, and best known Football Team of Swiss . My favourite song of 1977 "On and On" by Stephen Bishop!!!

  • what a good job youve done here, takes me straight back to my school days, a much happier place. well done thanks.

  • @jonnygator63 you're welcome! =]

  • Leo Sayer " When I need you" was a great song for me. It reminds me of my brother Ricky Cormier. He was only 18 years old when he died in a motorcycle accident and it devastated our family. I was only 12 and felt his loss severely. He loved the music from this year and every now and then I hear a song that he used to listen to and it brings him closer to me. Thank you for this clip of old songs.

  • @vherrin5 You're welcome.. I'm sorry about your brother - tragic. I lost a brother too, in '71 at age 23 in a single car accident, so I can relate. :(

  • gracias por compartir esta exelente musica, y sobretodo por poner los titulos e interpretes de cada melodia.muchas felicidades

  • once again Im amazed at the effort people put in to making these clips, I dont think I'd have the patience to put these together so thanks for taking the time out to do this, much appreciated by many I'm sure

  • @tryandlisten You're welcome. =] I'm quite disabled and spend all day in front of my computer, so it's a hobby and passion.

  • @ManicGrasshopper well dude you're making many people happy with your clips so keep it going, really well done. If you like these kinds of clips I subscribe also to a guy called "whiteboy7931", he puts out some impressive stuff too

  • This and All Grasshoppers compilations are incredible !!! 1977 is only lacking one aspect...... Final Top 40 Single in the Life of King "Elvis" of course "Way Down" A #18 Hit July 16, 1977 One Month to the date of his passing.

  • I never knew these songs came out in 1977, because i grew up on them duh i guess so since in came out in the year i was born . Next March it would be 35 years since these songs were written. Good Jams.

  • These are SOME of the hits they missed here: The Commodores "Brick House", David Gates "Took The Last Train", The Eagles "New Kid in Town" and "Life In the Fast Lane", Fleetwood Mac "You Make Lovin' Fun", "Don't Stop" and "Go Your Own Way", Jimmy Buffett "Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes", Leo Sayer "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" and "How Much Love", Marvin Gaye "Got To Give It Up", Pablo Cruise "A Place in the Sun", Rod Stewart "Tonight's The Night" - Otherwise, this is great!

  • @tew8197 You can't satisfy everyone.. I did my best to include what I felt were most popular, but I had limitations - time vs 100 songs. Tell me, which songs that I included would you have not included so you could add the songs you list?

  • @ManicGrasshopper To be honest, toss a coin, put it in! What else COULD you have done? Just letting the peoples know that this is NOT as easy as they think it is...you done good!

  • @tew8197 Thank you, my friend! :o)

  • you know I gotta love these songs,I was 16 at the time!!

  • The year I was born:)

  • dancing queen was 1976

  • @bladesmark1 No apologies here, Dancing Queen was indeed a hit in '77, according to Billboard Top 100 Hits of 1977, found at rarbg/torrents.... =]

  • Comment removed

  • @MusicAficionadogist Tru-Tru Very Tru.

  • @ManicGrasshopper Im assuming that the Billboard Top 100 Hits of 1977 is from an American standpoint then!....because bladesmark1 was quite right Dancing Queen by Abba was indeed a U.K.number 1 hit in November 1976.Abba's two number 1 songs of 1977 were Knowing Me,Knowing You(featured)and The Name of The Game(not featured).
