well i also think ..that suspect didn't escape coz........police helicopters MOST OF THE TIMES uses infrared or thermal detection camera in order to see at night and in daytime too.........the huge flashing lights in helicopters are just for the ground unit to position the suspect...........

i agree with what the last few comments said. police priority is public safety, and the fleeing suspect driver is endangering everyone on that road! regardless of a passenger bailout (of course the primary officer will relay that to other officers behind him or in the area), the pursuing officer's responsibility is with the driver because he is a serious threat to innocent lives.

Regardless of what the passenger does, the officer's main priority in this chase are public saftey, followed by apprehending the driver. The passenger could be an innocent victim along for the ride, or an accompliss to a crime that took place - either of which CAN NOT be determined by this video.

The passenger gets out but the first officer following the driver of the car that is fleeing possibly radioed what the passenger was wearing and they could have captured them moments later!

After further review of this video from what I can see the passenger attempted to get out but didn't get out. The car door opened however no body came out, the passenger was still in the vehical at the end of the chase according to police reports!
