In modeler you can also create a one side square with 'n' number of segments, select all points on one side, so that when they got delete you end with a line consisting of a chain of 'n' 2 point polys.
How do you make a 2 point poly chain? I figure out that in Modeler, you create two points, then make a poly out of it (2 point poly), deselect points. Add a new point, select one of the existing points and make a new poly, Now you have a two polys in a chain. Continue chaining as much as you want in this way. There might be a plugin to do this, but I am also new with LW, so I dont have one... Hope this helps ....

No, but it's the cheapest out there for what it does.
That doesn't say much , as these programs are some of the most expensive thing that can go onto a computer.
