  • Too many immature Liberal moonbats haters here commenting on things that they clearly know nothing about!

  • Ugh what an idiot, I can't believe people this stupid are allowed to get on T.V. and talk about some serious issues when they clearly havn't even understood their own basic education nevermind being educated in the facts of Nuclear Physics and Engineering.

    Blows the mind.

  • why do morons get on tv and try to ''teach'' us

  • 4000 people died? Dear God Ann. I usually quite like the woman but this interview reeks of fail.

  • This woman is not only STUPID , but a hack to boot.

  • @ND7652

how many doctorates do you have??

how many bestsellers do you have??

  • Go to Japan Ann It is much worse you dumb moron. Sell it baby, you should read and study before you open your stupid mouth.

  • @egderegor

no, unlike you, ann studied for her DOCTORATE.

  • She is an IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!

  • She is so stupid, I can not even listen to her, I can not fathom how republicans think she is brilliant.

  • @TheNightwing01 you're so right she is stupid...actually I would venture to say she's an IDIOT.

  • the soviet union was the second most advanced country on earth. and it was a very close second

  • Somebody shut her up!

  • I love the phrase ''Reid's illiterate easilty frieghtend soccer moms voters''.

Why does Nevada elect Harry when they have 16% unemployment. Angle wasn't great but come on Harry is terrible.

  • About nuclear subsidies. I am against ALL government subsidies, but I also know that wind and solar get 80X the subsidies of nuclear per MW.

About nuclear safety, newer low level radiation plants are very safe. They can not melt down, rather they auto off in case of emergency. They also use waste from other plants as fuel and they are more cost effective. In about 10/20 years most plants will be switched over.

Micro distributed production by newer high-tech nuclear is the future of energy.

  • yeah, but the Nuke plants have heavy regulation, and has subsidies

So, if you remove both, unless you've done they math(I have not), its not obvious whether they would be profitable or not

Personally, I'd like to think they would be fine, My intuition is that they would be profitable, but, I don't pretend to have facts if I only have hopes and intuition

All that said, I'd lift most of the regulations as well as the subsidies and let the market decide, its the only way I can be sure

  • @LordVigeous666999 I am making an educated guess after talking with a nuclear scientist that is involved in developing and researching new nuclear models. One of their goals is to not need subsidies, everyone knows that they will end eventually.

As to the regulation. The Japanese power plants forged their safety tests and were essentially non-regulated government created monopolies. Exactly what none of us want. Other countries with corrupt nuclear systems are taking them offline now (Germany).

  • I don't know much about japan regulations

My point was in regard to nuke plants in general. Just a simple point, if you are regulating heavy(adding cost), and subsidizing(reducing cost)

you are pushing the cost up, and pushing the cost down, so its not clear if you remove both what the net effect would be

Again, my intuition is that removing both would be a net reduction in cost
