  • I wish people would read correctly, its Night on Bare Mountain. Not Bald.

  • Actually both are correct: Night on Bald Mountain is a composition by Modest Mussorgsky that exists in at least two versions — a seldom performed 1867 version or a later (1886) and very popular 'fantasy for orchestra' arranged by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, A Night on the Bare Mountain. (from Wikipedia)

  • @Namine58

    the original translation from

russian was night on bald mountain

bald as in bear but to make more sense

ppl say night on bare mountain:)

  • Its not 'Night on Bald Mountain' its 'Night on Bare Mountain'

  • I hope you're right. I am listening to Night on Bare Mountain when I am watching the human faced creature child was being scared of the demon monster on top of the tower from the Swan Meat music video.

  • Night on the Bare Mountain is a re-composition of Rimsky Korsakov's Night on the Bald Mountain. The version also used for Fantasia

  • u mean mussorgskys night on bald mountain that rimsky korsakov rearranged

  • @Namine58: Sorry but the original meaning is actually "bald mountain" ;)! I know it's not the official translation but to me it looses a little funny side :)

  • favorite music score :D

  • Hahaha this is awesome!

  • This is in a film....any ideas? I believe its in Fantasia but that's not the one I'm thinking of....

  • Yes it is - in the original version. This one is "corrected" by the Russian comp. Rimsky-Korsakov.

    There are some differences ...

  • fuck rimsky-korsakov.

    that prick ruined it.

the church bell alone was enough to ruin it.

  • Yup it was indeed in fantasia and did you kinow they originally used bela lagosie as the original model for the dmeon in the blad moutain part of fantasia but that was later dropped and replaced by another guy.

  • We played this in my school orchestra, it was hard but it sounded really great at the end. :)

  • so incredible, and fantastically surprising

  • This piece is beautifully crafted.

  • I never knew the name of this until today. Or who composed it. Thank you.
