This is called radioactive decay. Radioactive parent elements decay into more stable daughter elements. THIS IS WHY SCIENTISTS KNOW HOW TO DATE ROCKS.

@graffix87 Science doesn't work on assumptions. In order to prove something you have to back it up with some serious evidence and it has to be peer reviewed. There is no major atheist conspiracy to destroy the belief in creation. Scientists aren't just a bunch of guys dicking around in lab coats making stuff up. Modern Biology is based on the theory of evolution and without it modern medicine wouldn't be possible because we would lack the understanding of our biosphere.
