@trollingtravis Meinl HCS? of course A Customs are going to sound better. Meinl HCS is Brass and Zildjian is B20 Bronze. When you get into Meinl's Expensive stuff Like Byzance, and MB20 theres no comparison Meinl Destroys Zildjian.

@andreiradumouse90 it really depends on the series you get. the mb8's, mcs, and hcs are fragile(as well as some byzance models). the soundcasters and mb20's are my favorites, they never fail to disappoint. and the soundcaster fusion crashes last a LONG time. i had one for nearly 2 years. but the best in durability would be the mb10's. big, thick, and very bright and glassy sound.

First one: mb8 for sure (colour we both agree here)

second one: mb10 for sure (i have three mb10 cymbals on my set, - colour and the shape of its surface.)

third one: probably Byzance! (surface hammerings and the big "B" in the byzance logo - defenetly not soundcaster)

- pause the video right when the third cymbal shows up, we can see something like a "B" at the start of the text, and the shape of that text is not the same as a soundcaster :-)

Sounds Great! Cymbals sound Great. Remember late 1980s I would throw on (Yngwie), Marching Out, and playing my drums to it. Have Marching Out on Cassette, CD and Record, Classic. These sound good, but a bit metallic in a way, like Paiste cymbals. I personally would rather have Turkish or Chinese hand made cymbals, but these are great if you like their sound.

Wow, thank you! I've learned so much about those amazing cymbals! I do have a question though, they sound kinda like you would hit a tom, like really low. Strange ... But they do have a great attack, it's like the sound of 50 ridiculous tom fills. Just what I expected from these cymbals. I also like the fact that this demo shows so much variety. A splash, a ride, a china, it's all there! Excellent job on showing us Meinl cymbals. BRAVO!

not quite, the rule is, if you want good sound you gotta SEARCH for it, sometimes the cheapest cymbal brands can have the sound you're looking for.... brands names and advertising aren't everything ;)

exactly. i bought a rock ride by Stagg and its awesome. i searched such type of ride with good sound long time and always thought you gotta buy expensive meinl, paiste or other to get the sound i like. but somehow i got it much more cheaper and im satisfied.

i got my sabian aax 16" brought to a studio that has a meinl aa 16"... tested them both and the result:

aax sounds WAY more 'crisp' explosive' and it cuts through any kind of music. just my opinion though

anders has played sabians in the past. check some of the yngwie malsteen stuff era and you will se. and no these are not byzances but the new mb8 line that replaces the meinl amuns. b8 alloy cymbals that are bright and very powerful. close in sound to paiste 2002 that have the same b8 alloy.
