global warming? what a load of liberal crap! what happened to the "ice age?" The earth was covered with ice and it melted because it got warm. Duh! Ask Al Gore how much electricity he uses at HIS house.
Do not give any money to this person. Cathy Zoi has has been send emails asking for money. All money goes right in her personal bank account . this is a bogus orginaztion and a bogus website
No. It's all BS so they can charge a carbon tax that we will all get to pay for. Carbon tax covers everything. They even want to tax cattle farmers for the methane in cow farts. Yea, they want to tax cow farts. One more time, cow farts.
Cow farms produce a ton of methane. Methane is worse for global warming/climate change than Carbon (26x worse, actually). Most of the methane is actually produced by belching, not farting. So actually, they want to tax cow farts and burps. Go ahead, giggle, I'll wait. A cow produces as much greenhouse gas in a day as the average car. Farts are funny, sure. But this is actually a serious problem. Climate change will destroy many major cities and start wars for drinking water in much of the world.
st4ticblu3, this is nothing more than propaganda for global warming hysteria. Recently Obama went on record praising Brazil's approach to "breaking the oil monopoly" through use of flex-fuel cars. No-one thought to call him on HOW they did it - by BURNING DOWN THE AMAZON RAINFORESTS and planting biofuel crops in their place. Global warming as touted by politicians is a SCAM. Google for British Antarctic Survey + global warming report to start your self-education in the truth.
What that carbon lags behind solar output... seriously, that`s been only the case for the previous decades before 1940`s. Explain to me why CO2 begins to raise, and sun activity drops from 1940 and onwards!
I suggest to watch greenman3610`s profile. That may get you a little better informed.
Who could argue with jobs? The problem with the ad is not what the dude says; the problem is with what he doesn't say. Everything he says about making buildings more energy efficient is excellent. But Repower America is mostly about adding to the already ugly grid with huge generators in the desert and long transmission lines--both of which are themselves destructive to the environment. Renewable Distributed Generation is a better way, and it creates even more jobs and small businesses.
The ideal is great. I find the method of advertising here embarrassing: "Unless you've got a problem with creating jobs... It's time to get real". It's a nice ploy for the emotional masses.... tap their emotions with simple rhetoric. It's a great campaign for people who want to make someone else change instead of being the change themselves....which is to say most Americans today.
Yes, moving to a civilization free of the dirty, disease producing, abusive of the environment and bloody hydrocarbons (oil and coal). Let us build a civilization based on energy sources that are renewable, clean, healthy to the human body, environmentally friendly, free of potential ecological disaster and dangerous waste. Solar & wind energy and a few others meet such fundamental standards. YES, it can be done! With clarity & determination.
"Repower America: It's time to get real." I love it! And I appreciate how this campaign has transitioned from the "vision" of a cleaner future - images the sky and sun - that may seem distant, to folks in hard hats on the ground "getting real." Keep it coming! =oD
I like this video. Except that we *should* turn down the thermostats too. If it makes sense to add more insulation to buildings, it makes even more sense to add more insulation to bodies. With modern clothing, people can survive in the coldest places on Earth. Even with Stone Age clothing, the Inuit managed to live in the high Arctic for thousands of years.

Dude, its not just about climate change.
It's about getting out of Iraq by going green. Because you're in Iraq for the oil.
It's all linked. And it will make the economy better too.

How about the government hires 1 million people to dig ditches and then another million to fill holes.
It's a great idea . . . unless you've got something against creating jobs.
