hey man, i would appreciate it if you continue making these videos, because I'm doing a computer architecture course and these things are very tricky.
Everyone should try the Falstad circuit simulation applet...comes with a load of predefined gates, counters, all sorts of common configurations....got me through my first electronics course.
I will have to take DLD next semester. If only there were more videos like this one to give me a head start. I am a very slow learner. Please upload more videos.
Damn, having college flashbacks now. If you want to find info on CPU architecture Morris Mano has a few good books (none of them cheap though =/ ). And don't forget, any logic design can be implemented with NAND gates only, not that I'd recommend trying it with anything complex ;)
It is due to the stable states of the semi-conductor circuitry. it is not a fix value it is just a stadartization, you can get difrent voltage states if you design the circuitry from the ground up (i.e. the way we build the gates to do that logic operation)
gotta love boolean logic... I spent 4 months at the start of the year covering combinational and sequential logic design. EWB Multi-sim is a fairly flexible program too, easy to use as well.
brilliant video
