Mario Kart 7 - Video Review (3DS) [HD]

Wow, I pretty much disagree with this whole video. First off Neo Bowser City (in my opinion) is the best track in the game. Second of all, I think that MK7 has had the biggest changes and additions of any Mario Kart game. This game deserves 4.75 stars in both categories. Sorry if anyone disagrees it's just my opinion.

*continued* The store could be updated every so often, when nintendo design something new perhaps. The other idea i had in mind was being able to change the colour of your kart and character. Yes, character. Now i know MarioKart isn't about customization and such, but hey, wouldn't be just a nice addition? Let me know what you guys think. :)

Okay, this is my opinion, but i think, if there is a new Mario Kart for the Wii U, they should add a sort of points shop system, where you can use points you earn in the game from online races in this store. The store would contain Karts, Wheels and Gliders, no upgrades from other karts though, just really for show. It could also count for a couple of characters too, you could be able to buy less popular characters like Petey Piranha and King Boo, if you so decide to.

I can agree with the hard hit the SP gets in this review... if it had, say, the versus mode that MK DS had, it would be much better, considering I feel hard pressed to be competitive in the ONLY way to race against the bots in this game, instead of just playing around.

The bad parts about Mario Kart 7 in my opinion is that if someone has lightning, and you are flying , they can use the lightning to screw u over. And you can get hit by anything now if you are in a cannon which is so sad.

@aperson7455 the bad part about the last 3 mario karts in genearal is that the cpu cheats like hell the get good items sand use them during critical points like while u in the air or right infront of the finish line like u said and their aim with green shells is too fixed i mean how can you hit someone who is far away just by hitting a green shell at the right angle at the right time on a wall and ALWAYS expect it to hit.

There are things I'm dissapointed about MK7 (sme of theres are already in other reviews)

-No time at ALL(Except for time trial)

-No 'vs mode' in single player(Wii and DS had 'vs mode')

-Lack of characters

-No option to turn items on/off and/or turn coins on/off.

Whoa, whoa, WHOA. Neo Bowser City is my FAVORITE course by far. It has turns everywhere (great if you like to drift), and remixed music from previous games. Can't believe you don't like it.

nice video, i agree for the most part, but i would say the flying/driving underwater really does impact the game more than u say. it alows you to choose multiple different routes through levels :D

@BangaliUser Do you like platformers (Mario Land), adventure games (Zelda), or online multiplayer (Mario Kart)? They're all really good. Zelda's great if you want a long, deep adventure, Mario's an really good platformer with a lot of levels, and Mario Kart is awesome for playing online. Just depends on what you're looking for

How bad is the rubberband AI in this game? It was godawful in Mario Kart Wii. Mario Kart Wii was still a good game, but the rubberband AI was infuriating.

@NeilFraudstrong I'd say it's about as pronounced as it has been before. If you take the lead on 150cc, the opponents will always catch up.

If "Retro Studios" were to develop the whole game instead of the "Donkey Kong Country Returns" racing track and a few others, do you believe that they would have "re-vamped" the series similar to what they did with the "Donkey Kong" and "Metroid" series?

@KingzEric Wow, that's a really good question! You know, that's so hard to say. But based on what they did with Metroid and DK, I think it's fair to assume Mario Kart may have turned out a little more differently than how it did.
