The 6.2's were actually better on fuel than the 4.3's and matched the power output of 350's. But that option was only only available on post 1982 Blazers.

is your 4x4 lever woking? i sucked like this before i figured out that my truck was stuck in full-time 4 wheel drive. full-time-4x4 is not the same as regular 4x4 but more like all wheel drive. which means u still have only one wheel driving but the choice is between all 4 of the wheels and not just the back two. i installed a part-time conversion kit on mine and it works like a true 4x4. this model has the np 203 xfr case which is not as good as the later model np205 which already is true 4x4

pretty sad that the driver sucks my 85 with 33's on it had made it through much worse im usually the one pulling people out gatta love the k5's :) and blackberrycurve if you want to go mudding be prepared to get wet on the inside unless u lift it 13 inches and 44's maybe not that over kill but close best thing to do is take all the interior out and rhino line everything its what im doing soon

you should definately watch some other mudding vids before you go out again. u cant be afraid to put the pedal to the metal and hammer down. it wont hurt to hit the hole a little faster and wen u start spinnin dont stop until the truck quits movinthat truck can go throgh a hell of alot more mud if u takea few pointers nice blazer though

only one thing works in mud like this, no matter what tires you have you got to have a lead foot over mud. Don't be afraid to rev it. Engines must be revved high to "blow out" soot and particles that's collecting inside the sylinders, heads and manifolds.

Engines cannot take damage from too high RPM unless the damage is done already.

I was driving through some mud deeper than that on the flick, though i had 33" mud-terrains. My 350's rpm counter actually hit the stopper at 0 on the underside, That must be more than 7000rpm's. And there was still power to have.
