There's a video of the Sea World incident where an Orca attacked the trainer. It was pretty astonishing to see just how fast the Orca moves. It would breach and land on top of the trainer and literally not one second later be doing the same thing from another direction.

I'm not an Orca behavior specialist but it appers it was treating the trainer as a threat, like a shark or something. Sad all around.

That's right, you don't want to meet them at sea. The shoreline orcas are a bit safer, they feed on fish and don't have a very developed sense of a team. But those that live in the open sea, they are the ones that gave orcas the "killer whale" name. They travel great distances, hunt in packs like wolves, very coordinated at that. They take down sperm whales, how do you like them apples?
