The stereotypical Olympian: Vegetarian/vegan, shops at the co-op and farmer's market, everything natural and stuff

Also, there may be some young druggies (there are in any other city too...), the school district is actually in the top 100 in the country.

I lived in Lacey in the late 70's while I was in the army. I remember going to a drive-in with my wife to watch Cheech and Chong's UP IN SMOKE and the first Alien movie. When the alien popped out of that guys stomach a bunch of cars started up and left. I had a 79 Ford Fiesta and put an under dash 8 track player in it. My wife and I drove around Olympia that summer of 79 listening to our one 8 track tape we had Supertramps Breakfast in America...Ahh good times.

Moved here in 1970. I was 6 yrs old. The Tumwater Safeway next to Sunset Insurance, the Gas-a-Mat was 28.9 cents a gallon. The sign is gone, but it said welcome to Olympia, pop: 12,800 Oly High grad class of '82. Personally, I don't mind it here. I fish and hunt alot, so it's perfect. Do you head out on 101, or 108, or I-5. I love it!

Tried Vegas. Too hot! Tried Anchorage. Too dark! Oly is just RIGHT. I do miss the Brewery, though!
