How To Tame Solix Easy!

I want to point out there are only 2 spiders with unique skin, green spiders can be found, they are as small as critters and roam in packs in the Molten front

NO! get a druid to Entangling roots him while he's in the lava and keep doing it till like the buff drops off and then have the hunter pull aggro and tame it's so easy!

Worked like a charm for me! Just a few things to know beforehand, though...

- COMPLETE THE QUEST "ENDURING THE HEAT!" Otherwise, you'll have unstable fireragers spawning around you constantly, making things all the more difficult.

- BEWARE THE FIREBALLS JUMPING FROM THE LAVA! You'll see shadows on the ground where fireballs will leap from the pools of lava and land. If you have Aspect of the Cheetah on, this WILL daze you. If this happens, Deterrence + Disengage away from Solix for room.

Thanks! Laid a Ice trap, shot CS, started running laid snakes, keep CS up, repeat. I waited until he was around 35 energy - at this point he was going after my snakes from a trap i just laid so I hit him with CS and started taming and by the time he reached me, he was tamed.  Took no damage.

Worked like a dream..Took 4 deaths but followed the vid and worked...found it better to start with a Serpent Sting then hit Concussive straight away..and just watch the Concussive debuff wear off and hit again..I started taming at 50% and no worries at all about health...I think the Serpent Sting actually helps to get his energy down to a decent level

i did this and thought it was really dissapointing and that you guys had lied to me, but then i noticed i have glyph of concussive. it slows him to walking speed all the time so you just have to sit there. theres no challenge to it tho so try it the hard way first :D

Nice video. I solo tame Solix and my method is I was on aspect of the cheetah and lay all 3 traps down then shoot concussive shot at him and run away...While running away, I keep laying any trap that is available so I can keep aggro on him. Once his buff wears off, I went back to tame him and he is mine :) without using deterrance or any haste pot or macros

Thanks, paniced the first time and died all over the place. Opened up your video from Wowhead, and understood that you don't actually need to make any damage to him. Just spam CS and kite around. once he was @ 50 eneryg, I casted tame (w/o deterrence, though) and got him no problems.

Thanks, it's very helpful. Just tamed this creepy fiery spider on the fifth attempt without aspect of the cheetah/pack, just Concussive Shots + 2 Ice Traps and tons of running around. A Deterrence + Tame Beast macro helps A LOT.

I just ran across him @ 4am on my server... freaking nobody around. I had a free and clear shot without other ppl tryin to steal him or horde killing me or anything.... and I didn't know about the energy thing. I thought I had to kite and pound him down to low enough hp that his buff would drop and I could tame him, like deth'tliac. So pissed off... I basically had a free shot @ him and I just blew it by killing him. :(

Seems like you're correct about the 6hr spawn timer. I originally saw (and accidentally killed) him @ 4am server time. That means he was back up @ 10am, figure it took a few min for someone to notice him there and kill or tame him, respawn again 6hrs after that, putting him sometime around 4:15-4:45pm.... started camping around 4pm. Got up to go grab some cereal (just the box, I didn't even put it in a freaking bowl), and he spawned in the 10 seconds it took to get it. He's mine!

I can see another player interfering when they don't know what you're trying to do, but for another hunter to intentionally kill a beast while another hunter is taming is just shameful. @actiglow You didn't finish hearing me. One of the three UNIQUE spiders. Red and Yellow spiders can be tamed from the regular mobs. Green could considered not rare because of the Cinderweb babies. But those are not up all the time either.
