I was there. Saw three that summer - Nassau Colliseum, The Garden and the Capitol. Nassau was the best maybe because it was my first but the story during Growing Up was the best and that night during Spirit in the Night, he swam out on top of the people about 50 feet from the stage. Gets all the way out there, stops the song, and then yells "Hey! I'm Trying to work here!" What a riot!

Not one dislike....incredible...I was living in Bridgeport and drove with my friend to the concert...some of his best work ever....was during the 77 to 79 period...I still remember this song as if I was hearing it live on that day so long ago....good times....

Being a Bruce fan my whole life, and seeing every tour since The River, this is truly him and the E Street Band at their best....If I could go back in time, it would be to this show....RIP CC... There's nothing like experiencing a Springsteen show in Jersey when you're from Jersey..Just doesn't get any better...

i love the "darkness on the edge of town" album, but this is one song that always seemed a little unspectacular to me...until i heard what it sounded like live. this version has to be one of the absolute best. i wasn't born yet in 1978, but man...i would kill to have seen bruce on that tour. the whole band was on fire.

Well I lived in New Jersey for along time and believe it or not I was at a diner in Eatontown with my wife. Bon Jovi was at a table a few booths away. The waitress came up and said you know thats Bon Jovi I got his autograph what she said about the tip I wont repeat. My response was well he isn't Bruce Springsteen. The Boss always brings it all. Rest in Peace DF you rocked !!!!!!!! The E Street Band is missing an ANGEL now
