If you think otherwise you don't know a damn thing about cars. This car is a 66 so it is modeled after the EUROPEAN GT40.

The only thing Shelby did in '66 was improve the car by putting a gigantic engine (427 Side Oiler). In '68 and '69 it was a car prepared by John Wyer A.E (British Team) that won Le Mans, with none of Shelby's modifications. So if there's a name to remember, it's John Wyer, who helped creating the MK1, and later prepared the 2 times winning GT40
