@Linblow Entre "on dirait" et "ce sont", y a une marge. On dirait des racailles parce qu'on n'a pas fait l'effort de creuser. Si on prenait le temps de connaître le groupe, on se rendrait compte que c'est tout l'inverse. C'est NTM qui a écrit et interprété "Laisse pas traîner ton fils" ou "Pose ton gun", et parlait du rap comme d'une musique dont les valeurs sont "peace, unity, love and having fun" avant d'enfoncer le clou en affirmant que "le Hip Hop n'a jamais eu besoin de guns ni de gangs".

I love French rap. Great video too. I did my dissertation on high-rise housing. It's sad that architects got it so wrong. They built these places to be modern utopias, and they ended up being the worst of slums. Peace.

Architects at the time were enamoured with Le Corbusian modernism, which was basically a mass social experiment. And the amount of money spent on social housing after the war was like no other time in history.

ok you're right about Le Corbusier, but theses blocks were not built following LC's ideals, these blocks have nothing to do with for instance "unité d'habitation" where no problems are encountered.

Problems in french ghettos ain't result of ONLY architecture, but concentration of poor people and social problems (I guess you know that)

Don't get me wrong, France is one of my favorite country in the world, I've even visited it two times. Je trouve que la France est un tres bon pays :-)

I was just surprised to see that kind of violence in a place that would look more peaceful to me. But anyway, France is a rich, western democracy so I assume the problems there are just the same than here.

hey friend, yes, there is violence that prevails there too! France welcomes immigrants to a certain extent! However, communication needs to improve among generation x & y. Politicians need to understand where people from various social class come from! Unemployment is high! The police needs to qualify their "fonctionnaires" more adequately and the country should offer more opportunities(small businesses creations for ex.)! Take care my friend!
