Our indepence is worth nothing! Our unity is not everything but it is worth a lot!
Dictators has all over history been using nationalism, patriotism and national conservatism to make people hate their enemeis and fight pointless wars saying that they saves their fatherland when they really just are saving their dictator's power!
Your fatherland doesn't give a shit if you die! Indepence is not Freedom!
what exactly is the point to this shit, hitler wanted germany to dictate the world, and HE was to be at the helm, the reason for WW2 and the 60-70million deaths was to make sure he didnt succeed,if he did, nobody could be gay,non white etc.i havent heard of random gassings taking place in showers since the union began HAVE YOU,go give your head a wobble mate you chat shit.
We should form a North American Union. That is not betraying either Mexico, Canada, or the United States. It's moving towards the future and creating a prosperous North American Continent that is what a North American Union could do and what it would do. This video is nothing more than fear mongering.
ya fuck the north american union we need to fight this were not giving up our sovernty fuck the government theres gonna be a civil war to fight the government
Let me ask, what is so fascist about the EU? The fact it defends human rights? People like you make me SO angry, the fact you feel so intimidated by a peaceful organisation that you have to put it down as so? Jesus...
@GusPlayer94 It RULES YOU. If it doesn't shows now it will later on. WHY become one person instead of being diffrent from everyone else? You get what I'm saying? If not I'm trying to say that every country has it's own opinion. One day one country will get soo angry and will control the EU to distruction. WHO WANTS THAT!
@GusPlayer94: Thanks for posting. Fascism is a complicated thing - but if you look at the implimentation of the Euro, basically the control of all monetary systems of each member country, it becomes clear that its intent is fascist. Look up and study Benito Mussolini, who tried to control the people of Italy by turning it into a state controlled by the families and corporations with the most money.
@djjimi I'm Italian, and my grandfather explained me that the current state of things, is similar to the one seen by Benito Mussolini, but have an important difference. Where the fascists strenghtened Italy's union, in order to give power to the Fascists corrupted Ruling-Class, in Europe they're giving power to the international bankers and corporations, in order to create an Europe more European and to give more power to the new nation, and that is a good fact. So they're better than fascists
Europe is socialist. It will fall apart because Socialism is the redistribution of wealth. Because of your political correctness, you allow muslim immigrants to move into your countries with nothing to offer. All they do is take from the people who actually work hard (white europeans).
White Europeans are not having any children, the Muslims will take over your countries and shit all over your cultures. They don't care about Europe. Europe needs to stand up to socialism& political correctness
Lol, America Won't surrender her sovereignty? Who the fuck do you think is pushing for it? Canada is the main reason this hasn't even happened yet. We've never wanted to be a part of the U.S. and we never will. The first english settlers to Canada came from the 13 colonies BECAUSE they didn't want to be part of your nationalistic, ignorant, and ultimately imperious "nation".
hmm... In reading my comment, I do believe I didn't get my point across. What I should have said is an important part of Canadian identity is the knowledge and feeling that we are different from and not dominated by the US. It is hard to say that the Canadian government will ever want to do this because we can kick them out at any time and our senate is there for life anyway so what advantage does a world government give them? None. So I don't think the North American union will ever exist.
Our senate doesn't even have final say, the Governor General does. And she is there only as long as the two houses (senate and the commons) want her there. Also, our ability to access and process resources are much better than the E.U. countries because of our size to population ratio (we are 2x larger than all of Europe with only a 10th of their population = 20:1)
Also the "imperious nation" bit was to illuminate the sentiments of the people leaving the States after the American revolution.
Anyway, I'm glad we agree and the NAU is actually talked about a lot up here and put down because the US is ten times our size (economically and population wise) and would therefore dominate our politics is such a union would occur. And given the State's less than stellar record in trade negotiations, wherein they went against the trade laws outlined by NAFTA and were told so by the supreme courts of all three nations, there is every reason to believe that the NAU would demolish our sovereignty.
I only wish that we still had education in the US that made people as informed as you Canadians... Frankly, if we were as informed about how our own government worked, we wouldn't be facing these challenges.
There was a time when the idea of an "America" was a beautiful thing... but that time is long gone.
I would like to leave the states... and in fact I may do so... but these days it isn't quite that simple. Wouldn't it be ironic if Canada were to become our refuge? Makes one think.
That being said, I hope you're right in saying a "North American union will ever exist"... but it will take more than just we Americans taking the streets. I hope the wisdom of your people will stop if from happening for you... we're too focused on the next great iPod, who's screwing Britney Spears and what Glen Beck has to say about tea baggers.
@devenci Which is why we are the ones who are saying no to kyoto, bank taxes, and defending our arctic from the rest of the world who wants to take it from us. We have enough problems, and all would be solved is everyone left us the fuck alone and stayed out of our politics. And weak my ass. Being the neighbor of an expansionary superpower with on tenth to population and 2 times the area takes lots of strength. Think next time and research rather than talking out of your ass.
haha even tho it was targeted at the states, it mentioned like 30 countries there, i think i speak for every one of those countries wen i say that wat this guy said anout the americans caould be converted to the other countries too... our freedoms, rights etc etc, i know that that is wat keeps me going, all the canadians who died for our freedom, thats wat ill be remembering at our service at school tomorrow for remembrance day, my relatives will not have fought, or have died in vain,
Absolutely brother. Globalism may sound like a great idea on paper, but if it means giving up your sovereignty - there is no way in hell that it's worth it. Individualism reaches much further than just the person. Your culture is always worth saving.
Absolute power... that's what's wrong with it. Rogue leaders and governments should be dealt with. This has allways been accomplished with intervention from other countries. Now, who would come to our rescue (not if, but when) the leaders of Earth (under a one world govt scenario) were to become tyranical?
It eventually happens with EVERY nation, and it would eventually happen under global government. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
MrIroNicC: Another one who's "paying attention". I hope, with all ferver, that you do so with the utmost cautiousness. The US govt isn't dead, but our fight for truth is under attack. There is hope, but time is running short. We must continue to expose those in favor of a new world order, no matter who they are. If that means turning my back on my party - then so be it. It is our duty to educate the conservative right that the same is true for them. Revolution must be unanimous.
djjimi: How much are you aware of the hard truth?! What if I was to say that the war for American Independence all the way back in 1766 is lost!
The Bank of England assumed control of the U.S. during the T.R. Roosevelt administration (1901-1909) when its agent J.P. Morgan took over 25% of American business.
"the war for American Independence all the way back in 1766 (was) lost". This is a very interesting concept. Morgan (et all) was the begining though, I think. It really all started to come to fruition in 1913. I have a hard time believing that all hope is lost though. Something tells me that the powers that be are grossly underestimating the will of the American people. At least, I hope they are.
Agreed but really this happened on the signing of the peace treaty that contradicted the american constitution entirely, turning all American's into slaves, in debt and no way of ever getting get out of it. The British Burned the White House down along with library's, to rid of the the Constitution at the time ect. I belive thro the fact's, that this was planned.
The last ture President, was kennedy (JFK) - The rest have been Puppet Govts.
Hence, Kennedy was taken out of power becouse he wasnt inline with the people who really do Contol the U.S.
I would like to belive there is hope, How can we when thay control every thing! The Amercian people have been pacified and either way thay would bring Marshal law on to the street's of America. If thay can deceive all of Europe people's then thay do the same with the U.S.
There at the heart of our economic and cultural life. They are the dynastic families who own the Bank of England, the US Federal Reserve and associated cartels. They also control the World Bank and IMF and most of the world's Intelligence agencies. Their identity is secret but Rothschild is certainly one of them. The Bank of England was "nationalized" in 1946 but the power to create money remained in the same hands.
Why assume that a one world government would be any more corrupt than smaller governments?
I don't get it. People claim they want world peace and UNITY all the time, and then when the governments of the world attempt to merge together, everyone cries foul. It's just silly to me.
People, especially progressives like myself, would like nothing more than to see world peace and unity. Unfortunately, man in his present state of evolution is incapable of accomplishing such a feat because of greed.
We have an elite element that is behind the current movement of globalization, and look where it has taken us. You only has to look as far as our own borders to see the problem with that.
Our problem isn't government, it's corporatism resulting fascism. Look up Mussolini.
FYI - America is about as much of a "Superpower" these days as is Canada. We are no longer a force to be reconned with when it comes to manufacturing goods or financial prowess. All we've got are bullets, and we have to borrow from the Chinese to buy those.
To prevent war by creating economic growth and unity. Seriously, I rather have a united world with no boundaries. There will be less wars and less social unrest and inequality. Effectively, with international travel being the way it is, the national boundaries have become extremely irrelevant.
TBH, the USA is made up of separate states that all became part of the Union, and Europe developed from smaller nations, as well. So all the NAU and EU are going to become is an evolution of the nations. It'll grow large, and then devolve again, just like 19th Century Imperialism, and the Race for Africa. The only difference is that politics in stead of invasion has created these 21st Century Unions.
I'm Irish American - ancestors from County Clary. After see this I am proud too. Americans will go to war withour own government before that Dictator Soros crap happens. We dread the words, "Got an Amero to spare?"
You're an american. You have other reasons why you're blaming the eu. You only dont want an strong europe. You wand 27 handy political slaves who do what america want.
stop blaming the government and start taking responsibility blame our selves we let our government get theis powerful. true freedom is taking responsibility for ones self and paying the consequences we have allowed the government to do all that for us for to long
It becomes quite clear that after you establish a New World Order, a democracy or what government have you, will face the same problems shown in historical proof that government will fail if equal rights and equal financial power arn't established. Laws shouldn't be created or destoryed just governed by a few laws as shown in a constitution. end all greed and corruption by ending all risk. it can be done. How else does the code for life replicate the same pattern to surive, pbs nova-fractals.
FIFA - nothing wrong with capitolism... it's corporatism we need to be worried about. A man/woman should be free to make a living at being in business for themselves, so long as it isn't at the expense of their workers.
I work for the largest software company in the world... and right now, HB-1 is the key to their success... at the expense of AMERICANS who would normally hold those jobs. We are pissed off.
conspiracy... do you even know what the word means? The fact that you would use the term in tandum with retardation should tell you a lot about youreself.
why are you commenting then?......why dont you explain to me why this recession shit is happening to us working class people......and how our government can let it happen, they must be thick or there's a reason for it.......
hell yeah, lets put em muthafuccaz in line. they fear our numbers thats why we have stupid laws which is unfair just to keep us thinking we dont have any power, we have nations of millions all wanting a happy life, yet they wont allow us to have it. fuck em, we taking back this planet.
Amen brother, Amen. The next six months will tell us everything we need to know about how things will transpire. If Obama follows the same path as his predicessors (and I pray he doesn't), we will know for certain that a second American Revolution will be necessary to restore our country. Let's hope we are wrong.
Amolitura: Yes, I've seen this... thought I'm not sure it proves any "inside knowledge" of a conspiracy. You have to remember that Biden is making this statement based on what's happened durring the first year of the last seven presidents.
We have to be careful about these things... wary, yes... but careful not to make something out of nothing.
well i am sure, if it happend this particular date or not. Obama will eventually go into war with pakistan, iran...etc. it doesnt really matter if he does so anyway!!
you are right we have to be carefull with forsaking events. but i think the truth is between that anyway!!
1. there are leading swedes in the eu. 2. the EU is domestic because sweden is a part of it. we get to vote in the parliamentary elections, could use euro if we wanted and our ministers are invited to important meetings.
I've seen craploads of videos like this and others about the corruption of the gov't/end of freedom, yet I haven't seen a video with creditable evidence. :\
I do not pretend to offer "evidence". You'll have to read the Lisbon Treaty in order to understand what Europeans are up against.
You're a young American, Kyle. Unfortunately, your generation has not been educated when it comes to US or world history and therefor you have no bearing on current events, sorry. You'll need to research what's happening on your own.
Rarely seen so many incorrect arguments and open lies in such compact and dense form like it is the case here.
The EU neither has a "national anthem", nor is a nation, nor a state according to the common definition of a state. The Lisbon Treaty is not more or less a constitution than the Nizza treaty currently in place and there is no way it replaces memberstates constitutions.
FACT: The EU does indeed have an anthem - it's "Ode To Joy".
FACT: You are correct; The EU is not a Nation... because the Lisbon Treaty has not been ratified by ALL of it's members, which is required under its charter rules.
FACT: The EU is not a "state"... uh... no, it's a UNION. Duh.
FACT: The Lisbon Treaty is in fact a constitutional document. Constitutions do not "replace" the constitutions of the states, they merely limit them.
You are correct, the EU is not a nation... but if the LT were to be ratified by it's 27 members, it would be... under common constitutional principles. Saying it wouldn't be, would be like saying that the United States didn't become a nation after it's Constitution was ratified.
The fact that you admit that the LT is primary law, pretty much confirms that my claims are anything but "baseless"... and I hate to break it to you, but I'm not alone in this conclusion.
The EU has already today a primary law aka constitution. The Lisbon treaty would not change that. I mean of course it has a primary law, how should a supranational organisation work without written down rules?
Just because an entity has a primary law, does not create a nation. Look up what the term nation means and then you will see it yourself. The Lisbon treaty does not create a state either. The EU with the Lisbon treaty will still lack key features of a state.
Listen to yourself. The EU (a "supranational organisation) has the power of "Primary Law". Give them Constitutional powers over the 27 nations and what will you have?!?! A NATION.
Jesus H Fucking Christ, I sometimes have to wonder if it's only Americans who have their heads buried in the sand.
The Lisbon treaty does not create a state... it creates a fucking NATION. Grow some testicles.
Damn this is scary shit bc I am hearing of the NAU in the US and people saying its the death of America but the only way out of the economic crisis all really suspicious when looking at bible prophecy and they basically called it the new world order also amazing is how many times I've heard the term new world order being used in the american media.WTF is going on?
If you think that's scary, watch one of my other videos "Road To Utopia" (watch?v=J9LV4xF-jgs) to see who used the phrase "New World Order" on September 11, 1991.
This isn't an accident, nor do I believe it has anything to do with biblical prophecy. This is, in the estimation of many history scholars, the restart of what Hitler had planned. Connect the dots. It all fits.
actually the american people do have quite a bit of say about the us constitution beeing amended. but lately are government thinks they dont got to take orders from the american people any more.
so say they just said screw this and wrote a constitution. In it were clear guidelines on how the parliament and a possible president would be elected. it would state which parts of government have certain kinds of power, and it would make legally binding the inalienable rights of the citizens (sounds just like the US constitution) and they decided to throw it out there, get some referenda on it. If this were the case, you wouldnt mind it at all right?
Well, that's kind of the whole point of this video... YES, I would mind... in fact I DO mind the fact that they are attempting to do just that by forming a North American Union. Our country's sovereignty means everything to it's citizens.
What do you think will happen if they form a North American Union, with a single constitution? Civil war, that's what.
I don't know... I don't like the way it's being passed because most of the EU countries are passing it without the approval of the people. Also, I don't like what the the fact that the LT is being called a "treaty" when it reads like a constitutional document - Which is the main sticking point nearly everyone that opposes it.
The US constitution is easy to read and understand, that would be the difference. But then again it started from scratch with the explicit intention of creating a nation. The lisbon treaty amends god knows how many things and refers to god knows how many more, and isn't trying to create a full-blown nation (at least not openly)
If that were the case I wouldn't want that constitution. But I think the EU would be more likely to legalize abortion and gay marriage than the other way around, and that is one of the reasons people in catholic EU countries are concerned^^ they don't want religion to lose more ground.
Ahh... but by envoking a Constitutional Republic, you open yourselves up to the possibility of just about anything - which is exactly my point.
Mikee, I want you to do me a favor. Read the US Constitution and the Bill Of rights. Then compare it to the Lisbon Treaty, and tell me what the biggest difference is (HINT: You won't even need to actually read the LT to see right off what I'm talking about).
Look Mikee, if you are okay with your country giving up it's sovereignty in favor of a new world order, then I'm not going to change your mind.
You're young... and you have the ability to really make change for your people. I find it sad that someone with the intelligence that you posess could possibly lack the ability to fully research such an important subject. You're just reading the history books and watching the news... you must to more.
I know the EU constitution would be above national constitutions... What I don't see is why that would be so bad. I have a lot more faith in the EU at the moment, than I do my own government. The EU parliament voted against that internet treaty recently (doesn't mean we're in the clear though) and the EU court is telling denmark to revise its immigration laws. Those laws aren't good, basically denmark has ppl working there, who are forced to live in southern sweden because of those laws.
I agree on the better job thing btw, not being able to answer that.
yes but all constitutions and laws are man-
made, they aren't unchanging or written in stone. If the "EU Constitution" was made to override the swedish constitution, then the swedish constitution would be the "regional constitution", would it not? I honestly can't see the big difference between östergötland (my region) being a part of sweden and sweden being a part of the EU...
What you don't seem to be understanding is that, in a constitutional republic (which is basically what the EU is trying to create), the constitution of the state is always subserviant to the constitution of the union.
If a member state's constitution is at odds with the law under the EU Constitution, then the laws of the EU will always prevail.
This is exactly how it is in the United States, but our Constitution was created prior to those of the states, so this doesn't really happen here.
darren, did you know that at this moment there bumblebees are plotting to kill your babies, destroy your freedom and infiltrate your government? no sorry that's ridiculous, but it reminds me of the way you argue. you cant just state an opinion as fact...
and btw, the state of sweden removes some powers from my region of it aswell, and it has never been a problem. isnt there some clause in the LT saying that the EU should only interfere when it can do a better job that the individual states?
You live in Sweeden... so your national Constitution SHOULD over-ride your regional constitution in areas where it may be more restrictive.
Mike, do a little studying on how constitutional republics and democracies work, and I think you'll begin to understand all of this a little clearer. You're very well educated for a 15 year old... hell, you're better educated than most 30 year old Americans... keep asking questions - and never let anyone think for you!
i'm saying i wish people would look at the eu as something of possibilities and not be stuck in their "we'll manage our own" business that'll end up tearing this world apart. besides, how is more power to the elected parliament a bad thing? how?
I'm not against the European Union at all... so long as doesn't interfere with each countrys right to govern its own people however they see fit. The Lisbon Treaty removes that right. Look, the EU was started after WWII as a way to thwart another Nazi scenario. The intent was never to govern any of those countries - only to unite them to fight fascism.
Remember this: Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Something of possibilities eh. You obviously do not know why the EU has been put in place. It is designed to fail & oppress the people who join it. It's a tool to destroy the people. If it was an honest organisation then there wouidn't be deception to get us into it in the first place.
well I honestly don't know why it's playing out like this then. personally I think the treaty is well needed and that it wouldn't pass if it was put to referenda in all countries. but so many that were against the eu from the start have changed their minds now, become less sceptical. people really just seem afraid of change.
...so what you're saying that it's okay for the EU to force its will on its member states regardless of what the people have to say about it? Sounds more like a dictatorship than a democracy to me.
if it were against EU law.. someone would have sued them in the european court of justice? wouldnt they? and btw did every state in the US hold a referendum on the US constitution?
Would they have sued them? Yes... and they have. The UK has been an enormous problem for the LT, and many law suits have been filed over it.
Yes, every state - the original 13 colonies that is - had a referendum to the original articles. The rest followed as they joined the Union. The only Constitutional Amendment, that I'm aware of, which was not passed by referendum was the 16th. If you look it up, you'll see where our problems began ;)
Again, the reason it should be held back is because most of the countries that have "ratified" the LT have done so without the approval of the people - with is illegal according to EU law.
That's point one. Point two is this: Look at the US Constitution (which was ratified by the people - not the state governments). Now compare it to the LT. Notice something different? The US Constitution is not only easy to understand, but quite transparent unlike the LT.
well, what makes it a constitution? there's obviously something in it that constitutifies it (omg not a real word) that isn't in the other treaties. where is the line drawn?
Where is the line drawn? That's easy. It's all in the wording of the document. Most people in the EU havent even taken the time to read the LT, which is quite disturbing in and of itself, but if you read just the first article, it becomes clear that it is a constitutional document which controls the laws of each "state" that ratifies it.
The problem here is that most of these "states" have existed as sovereign nations for many years - some of them for hundreds of years,
probABLY IN 2012 THE North American Union will go to war with the other parts of the world and thats why people say the world will end?lol IDK but in short words what is that Lisbon Treaty?
Ahh... the age old question "what is the Lisbon Treaty". There's a reason why I don't cover it in this video - because the damn thing is nearly impossible to descipher in order to give a "short answer".
The best way to describe it would be to say that it is a constitutional document that would userp the constitutions of each of it's member states (just like the US Constitution does). That is to say, that while national constitutions appear to be intact, they are no longer the final word.
On the note as to why we need a stronger EU, well. The 3 billion peoples in Asia aren't going to listen to 11 million greeks, they just aren't. Nor will they listen to 5 million danes. Unless we actually present a united voice in the world we're just going to get "divide et impera'd" (à la russian energy monopoly) and slide into insignificance. Knowing the values that Europe stands for (basic democratic/human rights) I'd rather see that didn't happen...
We may disagree... but I have to say, your arguments are quite eloquent. That being said, I'm not so sure that the benefits presented by the supporters of the LT are quite as transparent as some may think - for one reason, and one reason only:
As you have said, the LT is a very complex (and practically unreadable) document. One thing is clear - it is a constitution. And as you know, a constitution (acording to the rules of the EU), must be aproved by the people rather than the governments.
since the constitution (that probably wasnt very readable either, can't say I know that much about it, having been 13 when there was fuzz about it) was rejected they've made a supplementary treaty that needs to refer a billion times to the other ones - which makes it impossible to read. Sucks, yes - but doesn't automatically make the treaty a bad one. Personally I think only good things can come from more power to the parliament - making the situation more democratic. Do correct me if need be.
well darusdei, if they made a simple, readable version à la US constitution they would need it to be a replacement of all the other treaties the new is made to complement. and then all the euro-sceptics would start going on about how the "LEFTIST SOCIALIST ZIONIST RACIST NAZI FASCIST ILLUMINATI JEWS" (or whatever they say you should be afraid of nowadays) are trying to create an EU superstate and forbid you wave the flag of france or the netherlands (why would they even want to do that?)
Mikee: Okay, that's fair. I'm working long days right now, but I promise I will supply you with as much material on the subject as I can as soon as possible. Okay? All I ask is that you check the facts that I give you.
willing to bet most europeans agree with me. now i dont want everything to be managed from brussels, but important things like defence and fishing/environmental policy and foreign policy needs one strong european voice in the world, not 15 of them.
I'd be willing to garantee you that most Europeans do not agree with you. If they had, then they would have let the people vote on whether or not they wanted to create a single governing head for all of Europe. Watch the BBC once in a while... look up some of the debates that have been going on in the UK house of commons, and you'll understand just how "Europeans" really feel about this.
Sorry Mikee, I accidently deleted your last post where you asked me to show you how the LT was a "bad thing".
You stated that you haven't read the treaty... so, arguing this stance would be pointless because you wouldn't know what I was talking about. I suggest you read it.
actually, i never said i wanted countries to lose all autonomy, but fact is some countries are doing dumb ass fucking shit and someone needs to stand up to them. i think we need the EU for that, eg the FRA law was reported to the european court of human rights - and with a little luck theyll tear it up, if not the swedish people will. war on the balcans, europe shouldnt need america to help in such issues just because we dont have a united enough voice to say "No fucking stop it now" and i am
Oh, and for the people too lazy to actually do the research;
The Treaty of Lisbon is moving a considerable amount of power from the comission to the parliament (which is chosen by the people of the member states). In other words - power is shifted to the people of the union.
The rest of its contents is just things to ease the bureaucracy.
"Leave it to a 20 year old twink to draw the conclusion that losing ones sovereignty is somehow a 'good thing'"
Ah yes, the mid-life crisis propagating conspiracy theory american has spoken.
For a country to lose ones soveregnity is not a good thing, but thats the whole point. If you actually read anything about what the Treaty of Lisbon meant it is NOT in any way making countries lose their soveregnity.
Point me to a trusted site that displays that or simply shut up with your nonsense.
Look around... there are plenty of trusted people and litterally hundreds of news articles on the subject. I'm not doing your homework for you. It's your fucking job to educate yourselves. Now, if you want to live under a single government that controls the rule of law of EVERY EU nation, then you go right on ahead. Enjoy your fascism sandwich.
"I'm sorry... which information given about the LT is "false"? Please, enlighten us."
The bullshit about usurping all countries constitution, the dimwitted perspective that the treaty would make the countries lose their soveregnity and autonomy.
All you seem to be is another ignorant US american that has no idea about the happenings in europe. The Treaty of Lisbon is among other reasons only there to shift much more power to the people, where the people had no power before.
that power corrupts cannot be avoided, unless you make it so that noone has power - but thats not very realistic is it?
there's bound to be some corruption in politics, all you can really do is try to minimize it. btw, any society where the leaders become the rich elite governing the poor ones under them falls, we've seen it before - to wide gaps simply dont work. if it did come to that it would be overthrown, don't you think?
cooperate with america against it unless we ourselves are strong?
noone is saying, thinking or even dreaming that the EU is perfect, but thats why we, its citizens, must make it better! those changes will come with a bit of time, the parliament will get more power and maybe we'll even have our own president, now how is that so bad?
"power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely" - anonymous....if you put ALL power into ONE govt, you yourself, as a citizen under that govt have NO POWER, like i said it will be centralized power in a few elitist hand....all you simply have to do is look at Americas economy look at the federal reserve banking system, they themselves
Death to the sovereinty!
Long live the unity, democracy and human rights!

We should form a North American Union. That is not betraying either Mexico, Canada, or the United States. It's moving towards the future and creating a prosperous North American Continent that is what a North American Union could do and what it would do. This video is nothing more than fear mongering.

WHO WANTS THAT!
devenci 1 year ago
@GusPlayer94: Thanks for posting. Fascism is a complicated thing - but if you look at the implimentation of the Euro, basically the control of all monetary systems of each member country, it becomes clear that its intent is fascist. Look up and study Benito Mussolini, who tried to control the people of Italy by turning it into a state controlled by the families and corporations with the most money.
djjimi 1 year ago 3

The first english settlers to Canada came from the 13 colonies BECAUSE they didn't want to be part of your nationalistic, ignorant, and ultimately imperious "nation".
qwertyzz7 2 years ago
The people wont surrender sovereignty... our Govt gave it up 20 years ago.
Hey, I absolutely agree with you though.
djjimi 2 years ago
None. So I don't think the North American union will ever exist.
qwertyzz7 2 years ago
Our senate doesn't even have final say, the Governor General does. And she is there only as long as the two houses (senate and the commons) want her there. Also, our ability to access and process resources are much better than the E.U. countries because of our size to population ratio (we are 2x larger than all of Europe with only a 10th of their population = 20:1)
Also the "imperious nation" bit was to illuminate the sentiments of the people leaving the States after the American revolution.
qwertyzz7 2 years ago
Anyway, I'm glad we agree and the NAU is actually talked about a lot up here and put down because the US is ten times our size (economically and population wise) and would therefore dominate our politics is such a union would occur. And given the State's less than stellar record in trade negotiations, wherein they went against the trade laws outlined by NAFTA and were told so by the supreme courts of all three nations, there is every reason to believe that the NAU would demolish our sovereignty.
qwertyzz7 2 years ago
I only wish that we still had education in the US that made people as informed as you Canadians... Frankly, if we were as informed about how our own government worked, we wouldn't be facing these challenges.
There was a time when the idea of an "America" was a beautiful thing... but that time is long gone.
I would like to leave the states... and in fact I may do so... but these days it isn't quite that simple. Wouldn't it be ironic if Canada were to become our refuge? Makes one think.
djjimi 2 years ago
That being said, I hope you're right in saying a "North American union will ever exist"... but it will take more than just we Americans taking the streets. I hope the wisdom of your people will stop if from happening for you... we're too focused on the next great iPod, who's screwing Britney Spears and what Glen Beck has to say about tea baggers.

kropking 2 years ago 3
Absolute power... that's what's wrong with it. Rogue leaders and governments should be dealt with. This has allways been accomplished with intervention from other countries. Now, who would come to our rescue (not if, but when) the leaders of Earth (under a one world govt scenario) were to become tyranical?
It eventually happens with EVERY nation, and it would eventually happen under global government. Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

MrIroNicC 2 years ago
"the war for American Independence all the way back in 1766 (was) lost". This is a very interesting concept. Morgan (et all) was the begining though, I think. It really all started to come to fruition in 1913. I have a hard time believing that all hope is lost though. Something tells me that the powers that be are grossly underestimating the will of the American people. At least, I hope they are.
djjimi 2 years ago
Agreed but really this happened on the signing of the peace treaty that contradicted the american constitution entirely, turning all American's into slaves, in debt and no way of ever getting get out of it.
MrIroNicC 2 years ago
Why assume that a one world government would be any more corrupt than smaller governments?
I don't get it. People claim they want world peace and UNITY all the time, and then when the governments of the world attempt to merge together, everyone cries foul. It's just silly to me.

Oh, please. Do you know why the EU was created?
To prevent war by creating economic growth and unity. Seriously, I rather have a united world with no boundaries. There will be less wars and less social unrest and inequality. Effectively, with international travel being the way it is, the national boundaries have become extremely irrelevant.
Bozewani 2 years ago
TBH, the USA is made up of separate states that all became part of the Union, and Europe developed from smaller nations, as well. So all the NAU and EU are going to become is an evolution of the nations. It'll grow large, and then devolve again, just like 19th Century Imperialism, and the Race for Africa. The only difference is that politics in stead of invasion has created these 21st Century Unions.

Franzjosefderzweite 3 years ago
FACT: The EU does indeed have an anthem - it's "Ode To Joy".
FACT: You are correct; The EU is not a Nation... because the Lisbon Treaty has not been ratified by ALL of it's members, which is required under its charter rules.
FACT: The EU is not a "state"... uh... no, it's a UNION. Duh.
FACT: The Lisbon Treaty is in fact a constitutional document. Constitutions do not "replace" the constitutions of the states, they merely limit them.
Enjoy your facsism sandwich.
djjimi 3 years ago
FACT: Ode to Joy is the anthem, but not a national one. Its also rather informal than by law.
FACT: The EU is not a nation, not without the Lisbon treaty nor with it. Claiming something else is completely baseless.
FACT: The EU is not a "state", its a UNION aka a "sui generis". It has some state featurs, lacks however some very important key features of a state.
FACT: The Lisbon treaty is primary law. Of course it is, what else? The currently valid treaties are also primary law.
Franzjosefderzweite 3 years ago
You are correct, the EU is not a nation... but if the LT were to be ratified by it's 27 members, it would be... under common constitutional principles. Saying it wouldn't be, would be like saying that the United States didn't become a nation after it's Constitution was ratified.
The fact that you admit that the LT is primary law, pretty much confirms that my claims are anything but "baseless"... and I hate to break it to you, but I'm not alone in this conclusion.
djjimi 3 years ago
The EU has already today a primary law aka constitution. The Lisbon treaty would not change that. I mean of course it has a primary law, how should a supranational organisation work without written down rules?
Just because an entity has a primary law, does not create a nation. Look up what the term nation means and then you will see it yourself. The Lisbon treaty does not create a state either. The EU with the Lisbon treaty will still lack key features of a state.
Franzjosefderzweite 3 years ago
Franzjosefderzweite:
Listen to yourself. The EU (a "supranational organisation) has the power of "Primary Law". Give them Constitutional powers over the 27 nations and what will you have?!?! A NATION.
Jesus H Fucking Christ, I sometimes have to wonder if it's only Americans who have their heads buried in the sand.
The Lisbon treaty does not create a state... it creates a fucking NATION. Grow some testicles.

Exodous23 3 years ago
If you think that's scary, watch one of my other videos "Road To Utopia" (watch?v=J9LV4xF-jgs) to see who used the phrase "New World Order" on September 11, 1991.
This isn't an accident, nor do I believe it has anything to do with biblical prophecy. This is, in the estimation of many history scholars, the restart of what Hitler had planned. Connect the dots. It all fits.
djjimi 3 years ago

When in the US the constitution is amended, do the people have the right to vote in a referendum about it?
Franzjosefderzweite 3 years ago
actually the american people do have quite a bit of say about the us constitution beeing amended. but lately are government thinks they dont got to take orders from the american people any more.
seadog1988 3 years ago
Yes. An amendment to the US Constitution requires a 2/3 referendum by the states - to be voted on BY THE PEOPLE.
djjimi 3 years ago
so say they just said screw this and wrote a constitution.
Madmikee1 3 years ago
Well, that's kind of the whole point of this video... YES, I would mind... in fact I DO mind the fact that they are attempting to do just that by forming a North American Union. Our country's sovereignty means everything to it's citizens.
What do you think will happen if they form a North American Union, with a single constitution? Civil war, that's what.
djjimi 3 years ago
are we disagreeing on the treaty or the way it's being passed?
Madmikee1 3 years ago
I don't know... I don't like the way it's being passed because most of the EU countries are passing it without the approval of the people. Also, I don't like what the the fact that the LT is being called a "treaty" when it reads like a constitutional document - Which is the main sticking point nearly everyone that opposes it.
djjimi 3 years ago
so what are we disagreeing on again?
Madmikee1 3 years ago
so YOU've actually read it? say it aint so!
Madmikee1 3 years ago
I've read enough of it to know it's not a treaty, but a constitution.
djjimi 3 years ago
The US constitution is easy to read and understand, that would be the difference. But then again it started from scratch with the explicit intention of creating a nation. The lisbon treaty amends god knows how many things and refers to god knows how many more, and isn't trying to create a full-blown nation (at least not openly)
Madmikee1 3 years ago
Now you're begining to get it ;)... how ever, the very nature of the LT does institute a nation... I'm not sure how else it can be interpereted.
djjimi 3 years ago
I'd think that was rubbish, because it is.
If that were the case I wouldn't want that constitution. But I think the EU would be more likely to legalize abortion and gay marriage than the other way around, and that is one of the reasons people in catholic EU countries are concerned^^ they don't want religion to lose more ground.
Madmikee1 3 years ago
Ahh... but by envoking a Constitutional Republic, you open yourselves up to the possibility of just about anything - which is exactly my point.
Mikee, I want you to do me a favor. Read the US Constitution and the Bill Of rights. Then compare it to the Lisbon Treaty, and tell me what the biggest difference is (HINT: You won't even need to actually read the LT to see right off what I'm talking about).
Peace,
Jimi

Look Mikee, if you are okay with your country giving up it's sovereignty in favor of a new world order, then I'm not going to change your mind.
You're young... and you have the ability to really make change for your people. I find it sad that someone with the intelligence that you posess could possibly lack the ability to fully research such an important subject. You're just reading the history books and watching the news... you must to more.
djjimi 3 years ago
I know the EU constitution would be above national constitutions... What I don't see is why that would be so bad. I have a lot more faith in the EU at the moment, than I do my own government. The EU parliament voted against that internet treaty recently (doesn't mean we're in the clear though) and the EU court is telling denmark to revise its immigration laws. Those laws aren't good, basically denmark has ppl working there, who are forced to live in southern sweden because of those laws.
Madmikee1 3 years ago
So, you're okay with losing liberties that the Swedish Constituwion now garantees you if the EU Constitution were to dictate such a thing?
What would you think if the EU Constitution were to outlaw abortions or gay marriage? This isn't far fetched, you know.
djjimi 3 years ago
I agree on the better job thing btw, not being able to answer that.
yes but all constitutions and laws are man-
made, they aren't unchanging or written in stone. If the "EU Constitution" was made to override the swedish constitution, then the swedish constitution would be the "regional constitution", would it not? I honestly can't see the big difference between östergötland (my region) being a part of sweden and sweden being a part of the EU...
madmikee17 3 years ago
What you don't seem to be understanding is that, in a constitutional republic (which is basically what the EU is trying to create), the constitution of the state is always subserviant to the constitution of the union.
If a member state's constitution is at odds with the law under the EU Constitution, then the laws of the EU will always prevail.
This is exactly how it is in the United States, but our Constitution was created prior to those of the states, so this doesn't really happen here.
djjimi 3 years ago
darren, did you know that at this moment there bumblebees are plotting to kill your babies, destroy your freedom and infiltrate your government? no sorry that's ridiculous, but it reminds me of the way you argue. you cant just state an opinion as fact...
and btw, the state of sweden removes some powers from my region of it aswell, and it has never been a problem. isnt there some clause in the LT saying that the EU should only interfere when it can do a better job that the individual states?
madmikee17 3 years ago
Who determines "better job"?
You live in Sweeden... so your national Constitution SHOULD over-ride your regional constitution in areas where it may be more restrictive.
Mike, do a little studying on how constitutional republics and democracies work, and I think you'll begin to understand all of this a little clearer. You're very well educated for a 15 year old... hell, you're better educated than most 30 year old Americans... keep asking questions - and never let anyone think for you!
djjimi 3 years ago
i'm saying i wish people would look at the eu as something of possibilities and not be stuck in their "we'll manage our own" business that'll end up tearing this world apart. besides, how is more power to the elected parliament a bad thing? how?
madmikee17 3 years ago
I'm not against the European Union at all... so long as doesn't interfere with each countrys right to govern its own people however they see fit. The Lisbon Treaty removes that right. Look, the EU was started after WWII as a way to thwart another Nazi scenario. The intent was never to govern any of those countries - only to unite them to fight fascism.
Remember this: Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
djjimi 3 years ago
Something of possibilities eh. You obviously do not know why the EU has been put in place. It is designed to fail & oppress the people who join it. It's a tool to destroy the people. If it was an honest organisation then there wouidn't be deception to get us into it in the first place.
darrenpollard1st 3 years ago
well I honestly don't know why it's playing out like this then. personally I think the treaty is well needed and that it wouldn't pass if it was put to referenda in all countries. but so many that were against the eu from the start have changed their minds now, become less sceptical. people really just seem afraid of change.
madmikee17 3 years ago
...so what you're saying that it's okay for the EU to force its will on its member states regardless of what the people have to say about it? Sounds more like a dictatorship than a democracy to me.
djjimi 3 years ago
if it were against EU law.. someone would have sued them in the european court of justice? wouldnt they? and btw did every state in the US hold a referendum on the US constitution?
madmikee17 3 years ago
Would they have sued them? Yes... and they have. The UK has been an enormous problem for the LT, and many law suits have been filed over it.
Yes, every state - the original 13 colonies that is - had a referendum to the original articles. The rest followed as they joined the Union. The only Constitutional Amendment, that I'm aware of, which was not passed by referendum was the 16th. If you look it up, you'll see where our problems began ;)
djjimi 3 years ago
yes some of these countries are very old, but I don't see why that should hold any further integration back?
madmikee17 3 years ago
Again, the reason it should be held back is because most of the countries that have "ratified" the LT have done so without the approval of the people - with is illegal according to EU law.
That's point one. Point two is this: Look at the US Constitution (which was ratified by the people - not the state governments). Now compare it to the LT. Notice something different? The US Constitution is not only easy to understand, but quite transparent unlike the LT.
djjimi 3 years ago
well, what makes it a constitution? there's obviously something in it that constitutifies it (omg not a real word) that isn't in the other treaties. where is the line drawn?
madmikee17 3 years ago
Where is the line drawn? That's easy. It's all in the wording of the document. Most people in the EU havent even taken the time to read the LT, which is quite disturbing in and of itself, but if you read just the first article, it becomes clear that it is a constitutional document which controls the laws of each "state" that ratifies it.
The problem here is that most of these "states" have existed as sovereign nations for many years - some of them for hundreds of years,
djjimi 3 years ago
probABLY IN 2012 THE North American Union will go to war with the other parts of the world and thats why people say the world will end?lol IDK but in short words what is that Lisbon Treaty?
netweit 3 years ago
Ahh... the age old question "what is the Lisbon Treaty". There's a reason why I don't cover it in this video - because the damn thing is nearly impossible to descipher in order to give a "short answer".
The best way to describe it would be to say that it is a constitutional document that would userp the constitutions of each of it's member states (just like the US Constitution does). That is to say, that while national constitutions appear to be intact, they are no longer the final word.
djjimi 3 years ago
On the note as to why we need a stronger EU, well. The 3 billion peoples in Asia aren't going to listen to 11 million greeks, they just aren't. Nor will they listen to 5 million danes. Unless we actually present a united voice in the world we're just going to get "divide et impera'd" (à la russian energy monopoly) and slide into insignificance. Knowing the values that Europe stands for (basic democratic/human rights) I'd rather see that didn't happen...
madmikee17 3 years ago
We may disagree... but I have to say, your arguments are quite eloquent. That being said, I'm not so sure that the benefits presented by the supporters of the LT are quite as transparent as some may think - for one reason, and one reason only:
As you have said, the LT is a very complex (and practically unreadable) document. One thing is clear - it is a constitution. And as you know, a constitution (acording to the rules of the EU), must be aproved by the people rather than the governments.
djjimi 3 years ago
since the constitution (that probably wasnt very readable either, can't say I know that much about it, having been 13 when there was fuzz about it) was rejected they've made a supplementary treaty that needs to refer a billion times to the other ones - which makes it impossible to read. Sucks, yes - but doesn't automatically make the treaty a bad one. Personally I think only good things can come from more power to the parliament - making the situation more democratic. Do correct me if need be.
madmikee17 3 years ago
well darusdei, if they made a simple, readable version à la US constitution they would need it to be a replacement of all the other treaties the new is made to complement. and then all the euro-sceptics would start going on about how the "LEFTIST SOCIALIST ZIONIST RACIST NAZI FASCIST ILLUMINATI JEWS" (or whatever they say you should be afraid of nowadays) are trying to create an EU superstate and forbid you wave the flag of france or the netherlands (why would they even want to do that?)

Your fucking grammar is awful.

When you've been published over 300 times in your lifetime you can talk about my "awful grammar" sonny.

good post.
thank you
1gooddevil 3 years ago
first of all, have you read the treaty? if you say you have then i believe you.
Second, if you want me to agree with you, it's a really bad idea to refer to some god knows how long treaty.
Couldn't you do everyone a favour and explain to us why it's so bad instead of just stating that it is and not give any reasons?
Why do YOU think it is so bad?
I'm just asking for an opinion here.
madmikee17 3 years ago
Mikee: Okay, that's fair. I'm working long days right now, but I promise I will supply you with as much material on the subject as I can as soon as possible. Okay? All I ask is that you check the facts that I give you.
Peace,
Jimi
djjimi 3 years ago
you CANT read the 'treaty' at it's current form and companies who have wanted to make a reader friendly version the EU has refused
wonder why?
Darusdei 3 years ago
You misunderstood. Belgium was indeed one of the six founding nations of the European Union, but it has not ratified the Treaty of Lisbon yet.
djjimi 3 years ago
willing to bet most europeans agree with me. now i dont want everything to be managed from brussels, but important things like defence and fishing/environmental policy and foreign policy needs one strong european voice in the world, not 15 of them.
madmikee17 3 years ago
I'd be willing to garantee you that most Europeans do not agree with you. If they had, then they would have let the people vote on whether or not they wanted to create a single governing head for all of Europe. Watch the BBC once in a while... look up some of the debates that have been going on in the UK house of commons, and you'll understand just how "Europeans" really feel about this.
djjimi 3 years ago
Sorry Mikee, I accidently deleted your last post where you asked me to show you how the LT was a "bad thing".
You stated that you haven't read the treaty... so, arguing this stance would be pointless because you wouldn't know what I was talking about. I suggest you read it.
djjimi 3 years ago
actually, i never said i wanted countries to lose all autonomy, but fact is some countries are doing dumb ass fucking shit and someone needs to stand up to them. i think we need the EU for that, eg the FRA law was reported to the european court of human rights - and with a little luck theyll tear it up, if not the swedish people will. war on the balcans, europe shouldnt need america to help in such issues just because we dont have a united enough voice to say "No fucking stop it now" and i am
madmikee17 3 years ago
Have you even read the Lisbon Treaty? Do you know what it is?
djjimi 3 years ago
Oh, and for the people too lazy to actually do the research;
The Treaty of Lisbon is moving a considerable amount of power from the comission to the parliament (which is chosen by the people of the member states). In other words - power is shifted to the people of the union.
The rest of its contents is just things to ease the bureaucracy.
Athaeus 3 years ago
Yeah see... here's the problem. I can already tell that you know absolutely ZILCH about the LT.... and very little about politics in general.
Leave it to a 20 year old twink to draw the conclusion that losing ones sovereignty is somehow a "good thing".
djjimi 3 years ago
"Leave it to a 20 year old twink to draw the conclusion that losing ones sovereignty is somehow a 'good thing'"
Ah yes, the mid-life crisis propagating conspiracy theory american has spoken.
For a country to lose ones soveregnity is not a good thing, but thats the whole point. If you actually read anything about what the Treaty of Lisbon meant it is NOT in any way making countries lose their soveregnity.
Point me to a trusted site that displays that or simply shut up with your nonsense.
Athaeus 3 years ago
Look around... there are plenty of trusted people and litterally hundreds of news articles on the subject. I'm not doing your homework for you. It's your fucking job to educate yourselves. Now, if you want to live under a single government that controls the rule of law of EVERY EU nation, then you go right on ahead. Enjoy your fascism sandwich.
djjimi 3 years ago
"You haven't read the treaty, have you?"
I have or I wouldn't have commented in ignorance. Something you seem to be good at.
"I'm not doing your homework for you. It's your fucking job to educate yourselves."
Then just why are you posting a lying and propagating bullshit-video about it claiming it to be the truth?
"Now if you want to live under a single government that controls the rule of law of EVERY EU nation"
That's not what the Treaty of Lisbon says.
You still are a moron.
Athaeus 3 years ago
Alright, I'll bite. What specifically about this video is a lie?
djjimi 3 years ago
Rofl.
The information given about the Treaty of Lisbon is false.
A good advice is not to trust YouTube videos as your news source.
Nice try though.
Athaeus 3 years ago
I'm sorry... which information given about the LT is "false"? Please, enlighten us.
djjimi 3 years ago
"I'm sorry... which information given about the LT is "false"? Please, enlighten us."
The bullshit about usurping all countries constitution, the dimwitted perspective that the treaty would make the countries lose their soveregnity and autonomy.
All you seem to be is another ignorant US american that has no idea about the happenings in europe. The Treaty of Lisbon is among other reasons only there to shift much more power to the people, where the people had no power before.
Athaeus 3 years ago
You haven't read the treaty, have you?
djjimi 3 years ago
that power corrupts cannot be avoided, unless you make it so that noone has power - but thats not very realistic is it?
there's bound to be some corruption in politics, all you can really do is try to minimize it. btw, any society where the leaders become the rich elite governing the poor ones under them falls, we've seen it before - to wide gaps simply dont work. if it did come to that it would be overthrown, don't you think?
madmikee17 3 years ago
cooperate with america against it unless we ourselves are strong?
noone is saying, thinking or even dreaming that the EU is perfect, but thats why we, its citizens, must make it better! those changes will come with a bit of time, the parliament will get more power and maybe we'll even have our own president, now how is that so bad?
madmikee17 3 years ago
"power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely" - anonymous....if you put ALL power into ONE govt, you yourself, as a citizen under that govt have NO POWER, like i said it will be centralized power in a few elitist hand....all you simply have to do is look at Americas economy look at the federal reserve banking system, they themselves
