Actually, what the race does. If you win, the name of the Gummi Ship you will have later on, will be whatever you chose. If you lose, it will be Highwind.

Good video. I have always like this cut scene with the ominous voice from the man in the brown rope. I also hate Waka's voice actor in this game it's somewhat annoying.
