This is one of my favourite movies of all time. Masterly written, terrifying atmosphere - The true horror of humanity is shown. Watch it, but don't expect to like it if you're close minded.

im a christian myself but damn, thats too religious for my taste. going around stabbing people with knives under a subway... you know, thats actually a horror original. this movie should get good reviews. today hollywood does remakes or shitty, unoriginal cliches that are not even scary, as well as low budgeted that doesn't even look appealing. This movie actually got me interested, which is pretty cool because very rarely do i like this generation of horror movies, which 80's have the best.

i've seen it well, the second half of it on the chiller channel. And the second half got me interested so it was a pretty good movie and thats rare for me to say because the only GOOD horror movie I can find is original is like george romero's films, alot of the 60- 80's horror movie, all the jasons and freddies, hellraiser, leatherface, all the horror icons, zombie films. anything that has to do with the devil in all those times are good to me. todays generation isn't all that good.

Could not agree more. Sadly 'originality' seems rare. So many remakes etc. I really appreciated watching a new type of horror - like The Troll Hunter! Great fun, not 'terrifying' - but do check it out! LOVE the trolls and it's just really great! Oh, it's from Norway so subtitles - but anyone that really loves movies will not mind that! Also Leatherface is still one of the scariest bastards to ever be on film!

@sucifenev SPOILER. The cultists were right, and a demon Armageddon really was coming. They were killing people so that they would go to heaven, and the reason the killed themselves at the end was to save themselves. They used pills because committing suicide would've been a sin. So all those people who were left alive after the cultist killed themselves will end up going to heaven. And the reason Karen opened her eyes was because Mike told her to if she ever saw a supernatural anomaly.

I can tell you this isn't the movie of the same name that was released in 1987(I think) and starred Wilford Brimley and Levon Helm as a couple of railroad employees who lost their jobs, so they "borrow" a locomotive and go to Chicago to have a little chat with the president of the Southland Railroad company.
