im 14 and im going natural ..nd among most of the arguments brought to me because i am doin so this one is the one that pissed me off so much!! y is it a fad that im deciding to show the hair thats growin out my scalp.. y is "being myself" a fad becuz im young and im doin sumtin diff'rnt the ignorance needs to stop ....excuse my rant lol :)

For some people I think that it is a trend. But others it is not Dread are a trend for sure Nobody liked dreads before Now everybody got them My sister went natural because everyone at her church was doing it Now she is get tired of the style and it is boring her and she wants to relax it. I love natural hair Natural hair is beautiful I never knew that African American hair looked like this I was misinformed before But now I see the light and will never relaxed Nothing against those that relaxed

I think that going natural has to some extinct become a trend when i told my brother his response was "is it a trending topic?" . LOL. but no i think its 50/50 because going natural is such huge process, that it's not for the fair weather.

Now that I've decided 2 go natural again,I've noticed that TONS of ppl r going natural&I wondered about that!! Me myself I'm doing it 2 have stronger,thicker&healthier hair!!! If it is a trend,not many ppl will last too long...lol...just my opinion! Great vid!!!

I definitely think locs are a trend for males and females. The afro isnt a trend in my opinion. I've been natural for 4 months and when my hair is out I get all kinds of looks from people of many races. I do believe black woman are either fed up with perms or weaves and just want to start fresh. I became natural honestly because i like BIG HAIR lol, i've never like "tamed" hair and i've never agreed with the concept of looking like everybody else, i like being a minority with my hair

I think weave and relaxers were a trend and eventually will become very out-dated like the afro, jerry-curl, and the conk. I feel like natural hair will become the norm and in turn show that we have pride

hmmm. I guess your right. Even though I'm going natural, I won't ever turn into one of those fake hair bashing people. I love my weave and will continue to wear it. Just not as often because I love my natural hair a little more

Aww ur co-host is so cute! I don't think it's a trend. A lot of women have been rocking their hair natural for a while. I just think these days it's a lot easier to be natural because of there is a lot of information out their for us. I went natural because I was tired of maintaining a relaxer. I honestly regret ever relaxing my hair, I was lucky to have a mom who was against relaxers. But I was young and stubborn. I appreciate the versatility of natural hair so I'll never relax again!

I don't think this natural hair "movement" is a trend. I think it's an awakening. I believe Black men and women are now starting to realize that our God given natural hair is just as beautiful as everyone else's. They are starting to realize that there is nothing wrong with our hair and it is not a "problem" that needs to be "fixed" with relaxers and other straightening practices.

you know before I set out on this journey natural hair was just something that our more in touch with themselves sisters did. You know getting back to there roots. I was so wrong on many levels and going natural really opened my eyes to a lot of positive things. I can now say I will never regret my decision. Never a trend when your people make a good decision. I don't think its a trend i do believe its a revelation.

How ever the last few years the fashiion has seemed a bit retro and back in the day(70's) the afro was rocking hard core And it has come back.

But i think Natural hair is here to stay.

I think going natural isn't something everyone will jump into. You have to realize that we been living the LYE for almost 30 yrs now ever since the 70's. I think going natural is a decision you have to be mentally ready for. You have to be ready for the Negative and Positive reactions. It takes time and care to manage natural hair.

I also noticed that since deciding to go natural, I've seen naturals quite a bit in tv commercials. But funny you ask if it's a trend, a friend of mine was telling me that her hairdresser was saying it was a trend. I personally am not doing it for the trend. I am just really sick and tired of relaxing my hair. And I also feel that there is an awareness overcoming people to realize that we should be more accepting of what God has given us naturally. I love it when I see naturals!

I don't think natural hair is the latest trend but I think the "look" is. Alot of people are going for the natural look instead of opting for the bc. I've found that natural hair has always been popular when it came to models...moreso with people that have more of a loose curl pattern. It's nice to see models with a kinkier hair texture, being featured in big mags.

You are right now that I'm thinking about it. If you think about it and look and walk down the street you will see at least one natural girl which is great, but for some reason I can't help feeling like some people are not doing it for the right reason.
