  • Yes, you did pick the best line. And Then They made it even better in part 2.

    The Cactuses

    That's Cacti!

    That's Racist!

  • hey what happened to your initial reactions?

  • Lol, loved the phlegm bit. Shame about the second part, eh?

  • are you cold

  • cannot wait til end of time part 2 and totally agree with your review, the cafe scene was just beautiful and moving. Bernard Cribbins is a legend!

  • I agree this episode was way over hyped, but i'll let it slide because part 2 looks super amazing.

  • Wilf is amazing. And I reckon they set up new characters to be eaten by the master so it seems like what he's doing is all more criminal?

  • good review

Im going to watch it now as I missed it

  • HA! HA! Marvelous review. First as is everyone i'm going too miss David Tennant. Woo Matt Smith is truly going to have top notch scripts too succeed Tennant as the next Doctor. dramatically cafe scene was the best of the episode. I bet you the Timelords punish the Doctor again for what happen during the time war and force Tennants Doctor to regenerate.

  • I completely agree, I love the dark episodes more than the light ones. I loved the Waters of Mars and liked it more than this, but I reckon this was a good lead up, even through it had some characters without ant point....

  • Yeah i think the point i forgot to mention is that this episode is probably just lead up to a much better part 2. CAN'T WAIT TILL TOMORROW XD

  • I like the randomness of the masters powers. I was always like wtf, but the dr did kinda explain, but not that well. I think because of what lucy did hes sort of open, all of the energy inside him is leaking out kenetic and electric apparently like an unsealed battery, so he needs to recharge a lot by eating ppl. I dunno why they couldnt have used my analogy in the episode.

  • U sound like uve got a cold probably from all that sitting in the snow

  • Jesus ur commited to a bid i would never go out and lie in the snow in only that

  • And using a camcorder witha a battery life of 2 minutes was also pretty awkward :P And the clothes were slightly damp. Basically i'm just stupid XD I like doing stupid things, they make life more interesting...

  • Ur ok though ur not sick because of it?

  • Nope...not at alll. I was sick before it in fact. So it healed me xP

  • I absolutely have to agree with the Cafe scene was amazing... it wasn't just dark, but it was the Doctor at his lowest point because he was realising how little he had left and how little his regeneration will mean to the people he cares about most (Like Donna and Martha and such) and the best line being was the Cactus line! What made it better was her face just looking at him like "Damn, not again..." Great review and can't wait to see the next episode! *Dances like an Idiot* ^_^

  • I felt the episode was really great to watch. It had a brilliant ending showing the Timelords and cant wait for the second part.

I felt John Simms outshone David Tennant again but to me I didnt mind that. You do need someone to be the Doctor''s equal.

  • The Cliffhanger was silly, but brilliant! So very Master-ly!

The Characters weren't developed?! What about the Cafe scene and the Master-Doctor in the Wasteland scene? That was character development before your eyes...

The Gate was explained by Naismith. It was from a crashed ship at Mt Snowden.

  • The main characters of Doctor, Wilf, Master were developed well actually... what i was meaning really was that the smaller characters didn't seem to be pushed forward at all and were all quite flat and 2D.

I also heard the bit about Mt Snowden but i mean... a gate to give immortality... surely this wud b 1 of the most powerful bits of tech ever and we only just hear about it, and the master just happens 2 b on earth at the right time and they take him 2 it. Seemsy like sloppy writing in my eyes

  • Why bring back the Time Lords? The Time Lords help sink the classic series (well Mel helped with that and a number of budget cuts).

Hopefully they will remove the Time Lords at the end of the next episode.

  • It excited me that they were back but i cant really see them fitting in the usual run of the show.

If you look at the BBC website though, the exclusive clip is set during the time war so maybe they arent really coming back so much as they havent been wiped out yet in the run of the time war...?

  • I thought this episode was quite silly in parts but it did leave on a good cliffhanger. looking forward to the next episode and seeing the matt smith take over, i think he will be a great doctor :)

  • I loved the cliffhanger and also am uber excited about seeing Matt Smith and his first lines and DT's last lines. Here's hoping part 2 is much darker rather than stupid...
