An extremely rare glitch that I found practically impossible to re-produce. I have heard of it happening before from 1 or 2 others, but that is the only time it ever happened to me... and I was fortunate enough to have the demo file to prove it. Basically, its the same glitch as tank jumping over bunkers, only its the bombs that hit the front of the tank at just the right angle to push the tank down and bounce it into the air.

Thanks!.... yeah... its a very common glitch when a bomber releases those types of bombs, and dies before they impact, where the bombs start changing direction and spinning wildly. I think it may be part of a routine which simulates the bomber itself being blown apart with it's payload... but who knows. In this case, it looked like I somehow repelled the very bomb that was going to hit me.... so I tied it in with the "jet-eye" theme.

I don't join servers unless the ping is less than 120. Generally, I ping between 30 and 90 on most servers with avg of 60.

Sort your server list by map name, and scroll down to road rage. Pretty easy to find me in the evening after 9:00 pm CST USA.

Good question to ask EA.

It is most commonly referred to as a hit-reg failure... When the server side of the software fails to register the hit, but your own machine does not, so even though it looks like you hit the target, you don't get the kill and therefore no explosion. The 1.5 patch improved this tremendously, but it still occasionally happens.

Now.... if you are referring to the shots where it appears like a miss, but I get a kill anyway, that is simply because of lag. Basically, the hitbox position differs slightly than the character displayed due to the time it takes the client program to update the server. BF2 attempts to compensate for this internally, but it is far from perfect.

Do a search on "BF2 hitbox"

If you still doubt me, go to the end credits section of Jet-Eye Tanker School Part 2. There you will see where I illustrate the fact that hitbox position is NOT constant... especially with aircraft... they are moving so much faster than infantry, and as a result greatly compounds the lag issues of the game.

I've been wanting to re-make Animal. "Animal" was a tutorial of sorts because it showed most frags from first person, and serves to show viewers much of the same stuff. I had to take it down because one of the music artists complained.

And i just want to say firing a tank shot is like firing a rocket or a sniper rifle .the hardest shot i found is when the jet pilot don't even know where u are ,if they are bombing u then it's very easy to take them out.

Safrguns , thanks for your reply every time .But anyway i got a way to do throw shot , it is not the best way to do so but i sometimes use this method.i workout how fast the jet is traveling and i turn my turret about the same speed and throw my shot where the jet is going to go about 5-6 seconds later.(depend on the range)

Sounds about right... but the shell and aircraft would be way out of visual range after 5 seconds.

If there is time, tracking the turret at the jet's speed DOES help to set up for the throw.

I know taking out air craft with a tank take lots of practice especially taking out jets .Their fast moments could only allow me take them out at short-mid range ,not only that i also got to estimate where it is gonna be 5 to 6 second later.

Bert's skills in a tank are very comparable to mine.

Who's better? Depends on how close we are to each other. He is better close range, I'm better long range. As for leading estimates... DONT! just feel it and shoot it without thinking. The more you shoot, the better u get.

Thats a tough one... 2 phases of recording: Collection, and "Fill". Over the course of several weeks (no specific limit), when I get a spectacular shot on a server with recorder running, I "collect" the demo for later. Once I come up with a theme, I may spend a couple of weeks or so trying to get specific shots to "fill" the theme... and I piece in my collected "best" shots into the mix for effect. Right now, I have about 20+ demos I havn't even frapped yet. (short on a theme for them)

Now... the time I spend frapping a demo is different... I may spend over 1-2 hours at a time or more frapping a single demo file for the best angles. (depends on how far I have to replay to get to my shots, and I may do 3-5 different angles for each one.)

This particular video took me about 4 weeks to make including games, frapping, and editing.

Jet-Eye Tanker School took me a solid 3 month dedicated effort... SEVERAL hours per day.

lol... thanks man, but the video portrays it a little bit better than it really is. I simply discovered that reactive aiming can be far more accurate than visual aiming for AA shots. Luck fills in the rest.

I just trained to rely on reactive aiming 90% of the time. Most of my shots still miss.

Thanks Leadermarine!... yeah, the crazy jet shots are fairly rare, but I usually manage to pick off at least 1-2 easy ones in most rounds. Gunner seat is not usually best place to watch either. I would recommend observer mode on enemy choppers :)

Funny how people will swear to God that I'm hacking, but they wont bother to download the Battlerecorder file and watch it. They would find that my play is not that much different than a lot of tankers. Most of my air shots miss... Hardly movie quality stuff.
