@hollyfigueroaoreilly Patty Griffin allowed Midler to record this song for her 2000 album. By the way, how would they credit Griffin in the middle of a sitcom episode? I'm sure there was mention of Patty on the sitcom's written credits.

@marcosvalenca We don't allow someone to record our songs. As long as it is on HFA, and the mechanical licensing is paid, anyone can record anyone's song without the writer even knowing about it. I didn't realize it was a sitcom. It looked more like a Dolly special or something, where it would have been appropriate to at least say Patty's name. If it was a sitcom, you are obviously right.
