You must have Two MW2 in computer. You wrong uninstalled mw2 or not uninstall and install second codmw2. I have this problem and i dont have now.

when im downloading it and im on the steam part it says that it must upgrades and it takes time is it needed for force for online.? pls reply.

@rsp0wer steam is needed to play mw2 if you did mean that and if you have just boughted the game, you need to wait that steam patches it.

Ypu could try first goin to my computer and then click the C drive and click program files and then click steam fule and then click steamapps then u click common then u mw2 and then u click zone and then u delete the file named mp_playlist.ff

Mul ei lähe singe- ja multiplayer päälle. Multiplayer lähtee siihen alkuvalikkoon (play, quit yms) ja singleplayer ei edes vaivaudu lähtemään päälle. Olen päivittänyt näytönohjaimen ja ääniajurit ja lukenu Activisionin ohjeita niin eipä ole auttanut ja Steamin kans. En viittis käyttää aikaani kovinkaan paljoa. Jos joku osaisi vastata kunnolla niin se olisi kiva. Kiitos =)

Hmmm.. Saattaa johtuu siit jos keskel päivää pelaat ni jenkit on jo nukkumas ja sitte euroopas kaikki on töissä ja sit siel aasiassa on niin pitkä matka tänne meille suomee niin ei löydy oikee low pingistä hostia. Kokeile myöhemmin uudelleen, jos sitkää ei suostu toimii ni kokeile restarttaa steami ja päivittää se Mw2.

no palomuuri asiat on ainakin kunnossa. sunnuntaina peli toimi hyvin mut ei enää :(

Taitaapa tuo uusi patchi vaikuttaa asiaan.. No ota yhteyttä Steamin pojille ni kai se sit se ratkaisu löytyy.

I had the same problem.... all what you need do is:

in steam click right mouse button on CoD:MW2 and click properties, than

Local files ---> Verify integrity of game cache(click that) and wait 2-3 minutes and game automatically start update. After update it must work i had the same and it's work...

hmm... onko sulla se MW2 Levy tuol koneessa sisällä?

korjattu jo. Johtu siitä koska julkasupäivänä MW2:ksen toinen levy ei toiminut kunnolla niin kun vaihdoin steamin kielen niin MW2 sai uudet chache filet sinne ja sit alko toimii. Nykyää toimii sillä ku vaa updatee pelin koska siihen on jo tullut patcheja joten se lisälevy juttu ollaa korjattu.

if i want to launch the mp.exe, this happens:

loading screen => loading screen => loading screen... it loads forever!!

Its not like the servers are located in some countrys only. Everyone playing the game can be host, thus, own server,kinda.

This works because it creates a directory in your steam folder for the new language... thus creating new config files and cache files etc etc.
