@dryorai101 for your information the Egyptian army strategy was to do 2 things first is crossing the Canal and have Egyptian flag over the first kilo of Sinai and destroy the legacy of bar Lev line and to have the first 15 kilo only to be protected under our artillery umbrella so we didn't plan to take back all Sinai we just want to break Israeli army and their legacy down.

In July 1972, Soviet advisors were expelled from Egypt anyway you go read any analysis about 1973 war in israeli , egyptian, american, soviet history or whatever you will get sure there was no russians or soviets participating in anything about the batllefield and theye were already kicked out one year before the war
